Management doing its best to ensure the place is in good shape. That said for quite affordable price I must say. It is not 5 star hotel one is looking for coming to Tuscany. It is a mixture of culture, fine wine, landscape, tranquillity of rural life, things that stars or labels probably not able to transfer and words hardly...

Wonderful location with nice view on the Toscany. Sienna is only ten minutes away by car, just need to find a parking. Helpful and kind owner. Breakfast was OK - Italian style (coffee, bread, ham, marmelade), they recommended a bakery where you can get breakfast too: lots of different sweets. A lot of space in the room. Big table, we...

At our first day our room looked like it was reorganized from a kennel; noisy, dirty. We cannot even get proper signal for our phones. On the second day we talked to the manager, and miracle happened: he can give usva proper room with normal cell signal and fresh air. There's nothing speciel in this place, not for the newly...

We stayed here for four nights during the last week of October while we took day trips to many of the hill towns in Tuscany. This is a working farm...vineyard and olives with two apartment buildings. One that is used in the winter...which was closed and the other for the rest of the year. The owner is a doctor but...

The place is an old farmhouse wherein the apartments are situated. It is very spacey but do not expect a lot of comfort. The kitchen is OK and if you like to prepare your food the supermarket is at about 3 kilometres along the road in a small town where you find two restaurants. The farmhouse is situated in a...

We had an excellent 2 day stay at Agriturismo La Grotta Di Montecchino. The location was fantastic. Although we had a car, we chose to get the bus into Siena - the bus stop is outside the front gate of the property. The bus stop in Siena was only 10 min walk to II Campo! We were offered breakfast at...

After three years we have been for the second time at this wonderful farmhouse and we were absolutley satisfied and we are even more convinced that we will turn again! Also our first stay was fantastic, but we were very surprised about the lots of work they have done to make feel people good! Our apartment was fresh painted with...

We recently had the misfortune to stay at this pitiful establishment. It would appear that the owner created this accomodation from old farm outbuildings and the standards applied in renovating them were at best poor and at worst dangerous. The buildings obviously have a damp problem which was not addressed and is now causing mould and plaster loss throughout the...

We want to return to La Grotta di Montecchino, but cannot until they purchase new mattresses. We had only one good night of sleep in six. Otherwise, it was beautiful, gorgeous countryside and the quintessential Tuscany experience. We had rustic but cute accommodations and they were very clean. Location was close to Siena and much we wanted to see in...

We thoroughly enjoyed the rural aspects of the farmhouse - peaceful, quiet, a comfortable and spacious apartment. La Grotta is well placed to visit a wide range of towns and sights. The owner and Max were most helpful and made us feel very welcome. Max passed on lots of useful information about the local area and which were the best...
