A fantastic location for a bijou highland heritage cottage. Sara's bespoke breakfasts, using local produce mainly, but not slaved to the idea. The coffee was from Ethiopia and was particularly flavoursome. The interior of the cottage has been remarkably well thought out and in the room, we had a shower with a large plate head which easily washed away the...

My husband and I had the most perfect week at Sara's cottage in Ardfern. Not only did we have incredible weather but Sara's insight to the area and great advice on walks as well as historical sites not to miss, meant that we really got the most out of our time there. We loved our breakfasts, full of heartfelt discussion...

Had the most glorious stay with Sara at her adorable Achanduin Cottage. Can only say amazing things about our stay. Breakfast, the bath, the bed all fantastic. Highly recommend it. Sara provided great insights into the best places to visit, eat and enjoy. From the choice of bubble bath to the linen bed sheets this is a great find.

We had a wonderful stay in this croft cottage. Sara, the owner went out of her way to make us welcome. We chose to eat dinner in the croft and Sara's cooking was exceptional. We had pre-arranged to have fish the first night and lamb the second and together with a starter and pudding were not disappointed. I urge you...

We stayed overnight on our way to Jura. As there were 4 of us we used both bedrooms. The bedrooms are at each end of the house with a kitchen and sitting room in between. One bedroom has a small en suite shower room and the other has a large en suite bathroom. Sara lives in a cabin in the...

We had a wonderful time at Achanduin Cottage, overlooking the marina, in the picturesque village of Ardfern. It was the perfect venue for our small wedding reception and weekend stay. Sara the owner is most welcoming and is also a superb cook. Both the wedding meal and the breakfasts were excellent. We love the antique furniture and the wood burning...

My Partner and I have just returned from an overnight stay in Achanduin Cottage and it was fabulous. The cottage is run by Sara who has restored this ruin to something fabulous, there are 2 rooms separated by a cosy farmhouse kitchen. The room we were in had a lounge area attached to it with wood burning stove, access to...

My sister and I and our 93 year old Scottish Auntie stayed at this perfect cottage mid September 2015. The occasion was a family wedding. Achanduin Cottage was the perfect place...two picture perfect bedrooms (comfortable beds) a lovely full use kitchen and toasty, warm and inviting sitting room. We entertained many relatives at our "cottage" and all loved the warm...

The hosts become instant, interesting, lovely friends - she is an absolutely amazing cook (using vegetables from the garden out front) and he grew up speaking Gaelic on the outer isles. The cottage is charming with family-style breakfasts and dinners (if you choose.) Ardfern is quiet and so very beautiful.
