My wife and I went for a trip along the Rhine, and had booked in advance. We went to Deutches haus by walking and was very pleased by the nice stay here. We had at good room, and even though it was placed with view to the central street, it was a quite and nice place to be at.

This hotel looks quite ordinary from the outside and is fairly simply decorated. It is run by the 7th generation members of a family, one of whom speaks very good English and is very amiable. We had been warned it would be noisy as it's close to the railway (as are most places in the Rhine valley towns). Our room...

This is a simple accomodation. Very friendly people. I enjoyed my stay and I felt welcome. You get what you need. It's not that easy when you travel with a car, so you have to find a parking lot somewhere nearby what can be a bit of a struggle.

Not everything in Kaub seems open in August too often; the Deutsches Haus is. Staying locally, we dropped in for supper. Friendly staff showed us to a table on the terrace; a group of locals played cards, there was laughter aplenty. Local wines on the list, good value; the pork with pfifferlinge well done. In short, a good German evening.

We stayed one night as part of a walking holiday along the Rhine Valley. The hotel looks a little ordinary from the outside but we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room, the excellent food and as many other reviewers have commented the warm, friendly welcome from Edgar the owner. We enjoyed a really delicious evening meal and...

We are a family of four with two teenage children. This was our first stay in Germany. We have travelled Europe for five weeks so have stayed in a few different places. Edgar was great. Rooms were a good size and clean. Food was excellent. One of the nights we stayed the local doctor had her birthday in the restaurant....

This is a lovely little hotel and restaurant. Rooms are relatively small and simple but adequate. Beware however, that the train passes by so I would recommend that you bring ear plugs. The real star was the food though, served outside looking up at a vineyard. I had a lovely snitzel and chips and my partner a variation of same...
