We selected the Berghotel Bastei to have easy access to hiking and the bridge. The bed was firm, but was sagging in the middle. The breakfast buffet was average, but well maintained. While the hotel does not have parking at the hotel, you can drop off your luggage and then park your car about 800 meters away. There is also...

Great hotel with a perfect location. Rooms really modern and awesome view from the balcony over the mountains. Staff really helpful. Breakfast is included and was great. Only down fall was the breakfast staff. Not as friendly as other hotel staff and coffee service was slow. But overall a great place to stay.

This is the place to stay if you want to visit the famous Bastei Bridge. The hotel is litterally the starting point for the hiking trails through the stunning area. About the hotel itself: It isn't cheap, we paid 150 euros for a room for 2 adults and a child, for one night. The room is clean and the bathroom...

While I was happy to bring my dad here to visit the awesome rock formations I have to be very honest and say I was disappointed with the hotel. Firstly for a well known hotel it is not well signposted. We got help from a few local people but do not leave it too late to come. Secondly for such...

I spend at week at the Berghotel with a group of friends. We shared double rooms with balconies and great views. It was rainy and cool, so we were not able to really enjoy the balconies and beer garden, but we loved the location of the hotel, the good service, and the overall feel of luxury. Rooms are cruise-ship small,...

I stayed at this hotel in September 2014 and it was in awesome location very close to the famous bridge and some outstanding views. The food was ok but the staff were not so friendly as we tried to ask for milk for our infant daughter and were refused by the staff. We were lucky that we had some powder...

After 7 days on the Malerweg we decided to spend the last night of our honeymoon at the Berghotel, rather than continue to Pirna. The Bastei is normally very busy during the day, so staying overnight at the hotel gives the opportunity to admire the rock formations without the crowds. We had booked a 4-course meal in the Panorama restaurant...

This review is for the breakfast at its Fireplace Restaurant (and not the hotel). The hotel didn't do a good job promoting themselves on the website. We went there for a breakfast buffet at the Fireplace Restaurant thinking it was going to be a dark room with a big fireplace without any view. To our surprises, it was bright, open,...

This hotel stands amidst rock formations in a part of German Saxony, called Saxony Switzerland near the Elbe River. The Nature created amazing rock massives, some of them connected with narrow bridges, not good for people with vertigo. The hotel itself is very comfortable and opened year around. Also offers various massages and wellness cures for men and women, besides...
