Our whole trip from the UK to Berlin was because my boyfriend saw a video on youtube of Tropical islands and was like "thats where I want to go for my birthday!" So I made it happen!

We caught the train from Alexanderplatz after buying preordered tickets online for 35euro each to week prior. the train was about 17euro return each, they run every hour in the morning and more frequently in the early evening.

getting there was super easy, get off the train on the big tropical bus waiting for you ad hop off at the Zeppelin hanger, which is bigger than you could imagine! We had no queue on the day we visited at 10.30am.
the attendant didn't speak much English, and I don't speak too much German but we managed to communicate effectively to where the changing facilities and how the wristband work.s (you put band on wrist, you buy things with band and pay at English flag station at end day down!)

The cha ring area is large, yes, but its warm and clean (everywhere so clean...) just make a good note of your number (on your band) we took our flip-flops, shorts, t-shirts and a towel and found a lounger by the Sudsee (south sea) and got in.

The pools have a brushed steel bottom, which at first feels quiet alien if your used to resin or traditional tiled pools but by gum they're cleaner!

So the temperature. I was braced for it,. the Sudsea is 28c. yes it feels colder. The air is 26C, as soon as you get out dry yourself and your toasty again. We found the Lagoon (32c) which was perfect so we left our stuff on a lounger there and had a good warm swim. Theres jacuzzis and a lazy river and a tunnel. Loads of fun.

The biggest slide was shut when we visited but we managed to lodge so much water in our sinuses from the other slides we were not disappointed! The outdoor area is absolutely brilliant, so warm and fun.

The foods reasonable compared to UK Attractions, For lunch we had two currywurst, chips, and a beer each and it was about 20euro. A similar meal at Alton Towers would have been £25 easy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visited and were impressed with how the building was maintained and cleaned, it showed up a lot of our UK pools! Great day Tropical Islands Thanks!

I've visited Tropical Islands with my family during the second week in January and stayed for 3 nights in family premium room. On a day of arrival all sorts of things happened during our travel to the resort and we were coming late. Nevertheless, although it was already midnight by the time we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the person at the front desk who spoke a good english. The check-in was swift and in no time we were in our room. The room was spacious, clean with two separate bedrooms as advertised. Our accommodation was great throughout the stay. Resort itself has more then you need for your children and/or adults. It is great fun, everything was open and working. As it was during the week, it was not too busy either. My son simply loved it, while two of us enjoyed relaxing time as well. The resort is clean and well maintained. I did not have any issues with english or with the service. Prices may seem a bit too high to some people but they are, more less, in range of any other aquapark or amusement park around Europe I have visited previously. We had all our meals in the restaurant by the beach and food was great. Breakfast was served as buffet style, and selection of food was massive. Anything you could think of, was there. There is a big sauna section as well, which we visited too. Overall, we had an amazing stay with lots of fun and some relaxing time too. We would return.

We enjoyed Tropical Islands very much. The building itself is very impressive, and there are plenty of different water areas, which keep the variety interesting. Having the outside area (Amazonia) also helps break up the day, having somewhere different to be. The restaurants are pretty good, however if you are self catering prepare before hand, as there is only one small camping shop with a very limited range. The kitchen was well equipped, but you needed a car or a trip on the bus and then train if you want to get anything to actually cook! The 'Sunrise Home' we stayed in was very comfortable, and a nice 10-15 minute walk into the dome. The balloon ride was a highlight, and the kids came away asking when we could come back!

I had planned to take my kids to Tropical Islands in 2020 when we lived in Italy, but COVID happened and it didn’t work. We are now living in western Germany and I was so excited to finally take a trip to stay at Tropical Islands for two nights. I paid around $500 for just my daughter and I to go. We arrive at 1400 and they only had two people at the register checking people in so the wait to even check in was one hour and thirty-seven minutes. We get our key and are asked to wait until 1600 to actually go in since that is official check in time, which was no problem. We went to find lunch and ate at Aroi Dee which was really good! We get to our room at 1625 and the sheets were dirty, towels all on the floor, the room is a total mess even though it’s past normal check in time, go back up to customer service and they cannot get ahold of housekeeping but tell me they will keep trying and to go swim and come back in an hour. Go back about an hour and a half later, rooms still not cleaned from the previous guest and now they are saying they don’t know when they will get to it but refuse to switch me rooms, apologized and said it was a new cleaning contract and gave me a few drink coupons. Go back about two hours later and the beds made and we have clean towels but I honestly feel like they did not put clean sheets on the bed and could not stop feeling itchy while trying to sleep. Two days at that park is too long, you can do everything in about 5 hours. The bars all close at 10 and I saw 2 cockroaches. The beds are hard and the rooms are so minimal it’s insane how much it costs to stay. You do not get free beach towels as a paying hotel guest, you have to put a 30€ deposit down and the first day somebody took one of my towels. The room we stayed in was right near the park entrance and exit and what sleep I was able to get didn’t happen until pretty late due to the noise of guests walking around/exiting the park.

It wasn’t all bad though. The water temperature in the pools was great and the lagoon was a pretty cool area. It was a lot of fun for my daughter to night swim. The food is priced really fair and the buffet breakfast had a lot of good options. There was a lot to do at all the different pools but one day was probably more than enough, at least for my daughter and I. The gym was really nice and had plenty of equipment.

Last complaint, and this is no fault of Tropical islands, but getting to the Brand TI train stop from Berlin takes almost two hours (though it’s only around 50km). You have to take a train to a bus, then the bus to another train. It was the most strung out travel I’ve found in Europe thus far. I sound like the hardest customer in the world to please and I’m really not. I’m just extremely disappointed in the whole hotel part of this experience and would not recommend staying at the property, if you can avoid it.

I spent 4 nights with my family (wife and two children) in one of the trailer homes on the outskirts of the Park. We went for a "Woodland home". Honestly, the pictures at the website are a bit over-conceiving to the real appearance of the trailer home (it starts to feel a bit old), but nevertheless the place was clean and well kept. The small terrace on the front of each home with its table and grill is certainly a great plus to have. I would recommend to get this type of rooms if you go with a budget as it is certainly cheaper than staying in one of the rooms on the inside of the dome. If you don't want to cook anything by yourself you can still get a breakfast and/or dinner buffet in the dome or go for any of the restaurants inside. They are a bit pricey but really worth it. The overall experience inside of the dome is really great, after the first impression of being inside of a giant hangar, it becomes really natural, and eventually you just forget about it an enjoy the nice scenery, pools and weather. Biggest problem is that it really tends to get overcrowded... That is probably the biggest advantage of being and overnight guest than to be a one-day guest, if you are early enough you are guaranteed to find a free pool side bed or seat. Overall really recommendable experience!

3 days spent at Tropical Islands is an extraordinary and unforgettable adventure! In the middle of autumn we found ourselves in exotic place, felt the holiday atmosphere and celebrated birthdays with our family. A great surprise were free cocktails to celebrate birthday. It was a great decision to spend this special time here. Great attractions for adults and children, unique decor, delicious food, polite and helpful staff. Everyone will find something extraordinary at Tropical Islands.

The sanitary rules, despite the pandemic, allowed us to feel safe and carelessly enjoy the charms of this place. In addition, the accommodation at Woodland Home met all of our expectations - clean, comfortable rooms, practical equipment, fresh bread delivered directly to the cottage in the morning - what more could we want? A comfortable and quiet accommodation for a family with a small child. We are delighted to stay and dream to visit the amazing Tropical Islands again! We recommend it to everyone!

We stayed overnight at Tropical Islands in February for the second time and had a lovely stay all in all. Traveling from Berlin was very easy by train and the shuttle bus was convenient, albeit very full on the way back from the Tropical Islands.

The new water slides (weren't there a couple of years ago) next to Südsee area were such good fun, including for the adults in the family :)

The sauna world was really nice. We wish we could have had more time to spend there.

We had dinner at the Tropical Garden restaurant, and the main course fish was just beautiful.

We stayed overnight at a tent for the second time around, and did finally fall asleep despite the heat. On our last visit we recall it would have been cooler, but maybe it was because the outside temperature two years ago was 10 below zero during our visit.

What we missed from our last visit was the option of selecting food from the Sawadee buffet and paying by weight, instead of the whole price for just a small bite to eat.

Breakfast was ok and we did find some vegetarian sugar free options. No real juice though, only containing added sugar. Missed the freshly pressed OJ from two years back, but fully understandable given the huge amounts of breakfast guests. Also, the fruit salads had added sugar in them which I find totally unnecessary, as the fruit are sweet as is and anyone in need of additional sweetness could add it on if they so wanted to.

Hard to find any vacant seats / sunbeds in the beach areas but we managed somehow.

The personnel was friendly and all in all we had another lovely stay and are sure to be back on our next Berlin visit.

We booked this hotel for a quick week in the sun just after christmas.
We soon read some poor reviews about the food over Christmas so called jet 2 who we booked with about our concerns.

They told us that it was probably due to Christmas being very busy and maybe they couldn't cope so we registered our concern and went on holiday on 6th January.
We arrived at the hotel and soon realised after a trip to the pool bar for a quick snack that they had a massive problem, cold food.
I called Jet 2 who although sorry for our experience tried to pacify us we had to wait for people to call us back then the office was shut, excuse, excuse while we were waiting we tried the main restaurant it opened at 6.05pm we went down at 6.10pm so the food should ha e been piping bot know Luke warm at best, it was discussing.
I took eer from the restaurant to the lobby and was asked to put it in a paper cup joke!
We had to make several calls to jet 2 to get them to promise to sort out a move to a different hotel with hot food. Not the best service from our agent.
On the way back from the disgusting food venue we witnessed a man with his hands around his partners throat she broke free and through a glass at his head in front of children.
It was like a war zone swearing threats etc.
We went back to our room for safety.
We informed the hotel and Jet 2.
Jet 2 promised to call us the next morning by 10am to give us options of a move.
After several phone calls to jet 2 they offered us a different hotel of the same star rating for £380.00 more money.
Which I strongly disagree to having to pay.
The new hotel is fine clean and tidy with that little extra (hot food).
Avoid Tropical island Lanzarote like the plague the staff are terrible and the food is disgusting Jet2 you should be ashamed to have this hotel on your books it will poison someone with the food if not worse.
Jet2 I'm coming for a refund you have completely spoilt my birthday
celebrations
Thanks for that.

Overall it was a fun experience. We visited with a family and stayed in tents for one night. It takes a while until you get your bearings, understand what is where. There is a lot to do for everyone and the whole complex is massive. The kids absolutely loved it and can't wait to get back.
The food situation could be improved - we could not find enough healthy food options. If you are vegan or have a food alergy, eating will be a challenge. Also there is quite a big distance between restaurants, so to see all menus and explore which restaurant you would prefer to eat in, could take an hour at least. We were hungry and didn't spend much time exploring - went for the Thai buffet for adults and pizza for kids as we couldn't find a better option. Vegan choice is poor even in the buffet and food/allergen signs are not very clear. Staff in restaurants rarely speaks enough English.
For breakfast you would get what you could expect in Germany - plenty of breads, meat and cheese. There are also pancakes, waffles and buckets of nutella. Again, if you would want something healthier you are stuck with fruit salad, plain cucumber, tomato and lettuce. Vegan and gluten free options are very limited. Soy milk was available though.
If you sleep in the tent, bring earplugs, as it is quite noisy in the night with all the cleaning and upkeep going on.
There were baby strollers available to rent which made our lives easier. Bring a bucket and spade of you have a toddler.

We have been visiting Tropical Islands for 12 years and are sorry to say , that it is getting worse every year. In the early years we were there, the food was great, every night there was entertaining at the stage on the beach, there were several restaurants, a carrousel and the staff were more happier than they are today. Now all the food is awfull! Especially Sawasdee. In 2019 it was good and there was a buffet with all kinds of food and you paid for the weight of your chosen food. Now all the food on the buffet looks like something the dog wouldn't eat and there is nothing for small children to eat. Not even fries. And we paid 60 euroes for 3 adults + money for beer. The most expensive meal on our holiday and the WORST! I will not recommend any people to eat in the dome anywhere, because it is not worth the money. In the old days the restaurant at the beach was great with delicious dishes and icedesserts. Now there is almost nothing on the menu and the restaurants just reminds you of a cheap cantina where the staff is grumpy. Besides this, the swimming area is GREAT and we love to visit the dome. We always stay in our caravan at the campsite and love it there and we visit the dome every night! But from now on we will never eat there again!
