Stayed here for one night during our roadtrip. One of the best places we stayed at. Nice service, sweet elderly man helped us out. Had a nice twinbed room with our own sink (which helps a lot when you share the bathroom). The whole place is very clean an tidy. A few guests so it was also calm. We felt...

Our group of 4 were very pleased with the comfort and convenience of this guesthouse. Hanna and her husband are a lovely and welcoming couple. We took advantage of the well-equipped kitchen, dining table and comfortable lounge area, but did not add on the optional breakfast available at the guesthouse. Each guestroom includes a sink and the 2 shared bathrooms...

Hanna Sigga is the perfect host. She welcomed us and made us feel like home. Very comfy beds and the hot tub is amazing. Very beautiful surrounding and the nature is stunning around there. I'll definitely go there again. Hvammstangi is a very Icelandic town and is famous for having seals on their shores.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and warm, with a kitchen, and shared lounge that lets you watch for the northern lights from the warmth. We didn't partake of breakfast though, as we thought it too expensive, even by Iceland standards.

The owner was super nice and welcoming and had a few hand made items for sell (i brought a pair of hand knitted...

We had to change plans last minute and we found this guesthouse. The contact on the phone was friendly, we could even arrange rooms for 8 people. We were there for 1 night and had a great reception by the owners. The rooms were good, bathrooms clean and tidy. We had extra breakfast: my friends were very happy with it....

Clean simple comfortable room with shared bath. Everything very clean. Note that there is one flight of exterior stairs to the floor with the rooms. There is shared lounge lobby and some rooms have a view over the fjord.

We booked one night here in advance, and it was such a pleasant stay. We were warmly greeted when we came late in a cold winter's night. The beds were very good and we had everything we needed - even internet! Although there's not much to do in Hvammstangi, we got a tip to go eat pizza at the gas...

Drove from Reykjavik a couple of weeks ago, arriving at about 8 pm (had emailed them of arrival time) but were met with a less than friendly greeting, especially by Hanna's' husband who made us feel as though we were imposing on them instead of giving them business. Were not invited to share any part of the house, shown to...

Don't stay here. We drove all day from Reykjavik to hvamstangi , tired and hungry. We arrived at guesthouse Hanna Sigga, and were shown the back door. There were no refreshments, and no tips for café or restaurant in the area. Breakfast cost extra 13 euros per person. Only plus point was that it was clean (but bedding was dubious.)...
