We have just had the most wonderful holiday at Grafton Beach Resort the staff are amazing they can't do enough for you. It was quiet when we were there and all food was cooked fresh if you didn't fancy anything they would do you something else. My favourites were the chilli shrimps and seafood pasta but all the meals were excellent. The rooms were good sized the beds are comfortable. The most beautiful island with lovely people everyone speaks and it is very safe. Thank you so much Grafton Beach for a fantastic holiday

Cons: On arrival, I was completely gobsmacked when I saw the condition of the outside of the hotel compared to the pics online. What had I paid for? The first area they assigned us was like the back of a dirty building with moldy lattice, chicken wire/mesh and filthy, mossy paint-stained staircases. The rooms are outdated, with tiny tub/shower stalls, smelly shower curtains, tiny bed pillows, and smelling strong of bleach which made it impossible to breathe. The reception staff were not friendly initially but warmed up afterwards given our subsequent issues with the stay. I complained and we were moved to a better-smelling room but all the rooms looked run down and the stucco on the ceiling had cobwebs imbedded in the creases. Then I thought they had redeemed themselves a little bit with the a la carte breakfast - particularly the Tobago Breakfast option which tasted sublime. The chef was nice and the Floor Manager was very efficient. Unfortunately on our last day, the same breakfast option didn't taste as great as the first day. The young lady was not warm or efficient in taking the orders and so half of my order came out and there was a problem with every thing that did eventually come out: potatoes too hard, the saltfish extremely salty, the pumpkin and eggplant underseasoned... The kids pool area was untidy with utility tools lying unattended as though unattended for weeks and the pool water was dirty. I could go on and on but you get the picture: they're too shabby to charge so much money for a stay. Pros Kanisha's helpfulness when she eventually warmed up, the Chef's spunk that comes out only on Saturdays and the efficiency and awareness of the petite breakfast floor manager with the short curly hair and glasses.

Well, I’m actually blown away as reading some reviews and I had reservations. 1st night, staff are friendly, drinks nice and asked for some extra towels and pillows and arrived within minutes. Food was delicious apart from too much and felt my belly swell. Salad was plentiful and chicken with an arrangement of vegetables was spicy and delicious

So myself and a friend came here on holiday 10 days in November 2023. After dreading the Reviews that have been left, we was expecting devastation from start to finish HOWEVER.... That is completely untrue, this turned out to be one of the best holidays i have ever been on. So let me give you a honest review, not a review for people seeking attention complaining about ridiculous and stupid things. View Well WHAT a view, looking directly on a beach that could be private it was always empty, white sand, great waves and so relaxing during the day and night. Everyday I was in ore of the view and the sounds. Fantastic. Hotel & Facilities I quite like the old Rustic Tobago vibe that is going on, its not modernised and is completely contemporary to the Tobago feel across the island. if you want modern style then don't go to Tobago simple. The Island is Natural UNTOUCHED, just like it should be, Not having Costa, McDonald's on every corner. Black rock is beautiful area where the hotel is situated, however be aware that further down the road, you do see how people are struggling which was sad to see. Next door is the sister hotel, where you will find the SPA, bigger pool, Gym, More Bars and Restaurants, whilst we were offered to go into this hotel when we felt like, we choose to stay where we was, only going to the sister hotel for the Spa treatment courtesy of the hotel. FANTASTIC if i am honest. The Hotel offers all of the above, whilst having a decent enough sized pool overlooking the spectacular view which you can see in the picture. Restaurant at the Hotel WOW WOW WOW, this is where we were obsessed, the food quality was magnificent, better than 5* Hotels I have been in, offering a Ala Carte Style, giving you the choice of 2 different dishes at all meal times, with the exception of Breakfast where there was a menu jam packed of offerings, Pictures attached for the food, if you are not happy with what's available on the menu SPEAK to your staff member, as the Chef is more than happy to make alternative arrangements to your needs, YES YOU HEARD that correctly, the Chef will prepare you another meal that you would be satisfied with if you don't like what's on the menu, The menu repeats on a week to week basis which was perfect for us, as we were there for 10 days tried everything practically on and off the menu, ranging from starters to deserts and never had 1 BAD meal whilst we were there. absolutely beautiful food. Red Snapper, Tomato & Basil Soup, Seafood Pasta was my favourites of all, even though every meal was epic these topped it in my opinion. Staff Gutted, absolutely gutted I had to leave these staff members, every staff member made me feel welcomed, made our holiday that much more enjoyable. They couldn't treat you more like Royalty if they tried. Waited on Hand and Feet all day everyday. Leon - This man went completely out of his way, taking me to a late night store to get medication for a friend who was in pain, 10pm at night and he point blank refused to get a taxi or to leave it, he made sure that my friend had the medication needed straight away. Taking me to Bucco Reef to get to a late night store open. A huge thank you to you for what you done. Sandra ( Head Chef ) I felt warm, welcomed and again couldn't do enough to ensure every meal time it was enjoyed, coming out to have a laugh with us, so humble and welcoming beyond words, a true dedicated loving women wanting the best for her guests. THAT ALONE made the holiday extra special. Rachel - A friend, a down to earth lovely women who again treating you like royalty, every cocktail, every drink made to perfection every time, made it her absolute mission to ensure you were completely satisfied during meal times and bar time. There is so much more i can say on this forum about her but just know, you will not be disappointed at any stage off meeting these people. Cleaners absolutely fantastic everyday. no concerns raised. To clear up some reviews I read. Yes you find cracked tiles in the bathroom here and there, the rooms are not modernised which I like cause its original however the beds are complete comfort reminds me of a premier inn bed with feather pillows. every night was heaven. Air Con was perfect. Hot water was perfect. but most importantly your hotel room is where you sleep not spend all day everyday so stop complaining. Remember this place is not tourist hot spot, so COVID hit these hotels HARD really hard, but they continue to make improvements where needed an offer the best service possible. Any problems let the staff know they will do all they can to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Bottled water you do pay for at 10 TTD which is pennies so stop moaning about the cost implications for stupid things, free water on the bar at all times during the day just not bottled water. The all inclusive option was perfect, plenty of selections of drinks to choose from, both soft drinks and Alcohol beverages. Twisted Seahorse, Yellow Canary best cocktails in my opinion, refreshing. Words of advice, the excursions from the holiday Rep are quite expensive, so do what we done hire a car and do your own thing. you can drive from 1 side of the island to the other within half a day its that small, and the rainforest was amazing. Overall a fantastic holiday from start to finish. SO get yourselves booked on and enjoy the beautiful island Tobago has to offer and Grafton Beach has to give.

We stayed here for two weeks in June of in all inclusive. Having stayed here before in November 2018, we weren't expecting the Ritz, but we had a great time then and thought we would again. Sadly our experience this time around wasn't as good. Staff were friendly and pleasant, but unfortunately the hotel itself is needing an overhaul and needs to pull its socks up. We had a seaview room with a balcony and a lovely outlook. Unfortunately, there was no balcony furniture so we couldn't sit down and enjoy it apart from standing. I did ask at reception, but was told to move the room table and chairs on to the balcony as and when we needed it! I know it is laid back, but that was ridiculous. And we only had one chair anyway! With so few rooms being used, you would have thought they would have made sure every balcony that was being used at least had somewhere to sit. We could see from our balcony that there were unused rooms with balcony furniture and a building next to the children's pool stuffed full of balcony furniture. Very poor. Room was OK - perfectly adequate, but basic and showing signs of wear and needs updating. Air Con was a law unto itself. The controls didn't seem to work properly. Sometimes I couldn't turn it on, sometimes I couldn't turn it off! Restaurant has a fantastic outlook over the bay. Food in the restaurant was delicious, although a bit lacking in options in the evening. Breakfast was good too with lots of choices. Chef and staff were great. So friendly and nice. The last time we came, we had access to the beach restaurant Waves, but that option has been dropped. That was disappointing as we loved it last time. Seemed very odd as there were only ever about 5 or 6 of us at most having evening meals - we couldn't understand why they opened the hotel kitchen when Waves was already open and manned by the same staff! Being all inclusive, It would have been nice to have coffee and tea and cappuccino/lattes etc. from the bar's coffee machine. However, all that was available was a flask with tepid water and cheap coffee in a jar and tea bags! Numerous times I had to ask for fresh boiling water and milk. The bar was also not properly stocked. I asked for a number of cocktails that should have been included, but they didn't have the ingredients, which was disappointing. Room was cleaned every day, sometimes early, sometimes not until the afternoon. That didn't bother us. However, I think we only got hand towels replaced on two or three occasions in the whole 2 weeks and then only because we asked for them! There was absolutely nothing to do at night - no entertainment - just a TV in reception. The last time we came we had a manager's party in the sister hotel next door every week, but not this time. I know it was in low season. I know that they were not long opening properly after COVID. But there were only a few guests staying and that should have made it easier for the hotel to get things right and make it a better stay. The staff were lovely. The hotel is in a sublime location. The food was good. However, it is letting itself down by a lack of investment and attention to detail. Overall, we were left a bit disappointed. It could be and should be so much better. Come on Grafton Beach up your game!

Read a negative review? Let me stop you right there. This is a 3 star. It’s not a royalton, a RIU palace etc. The resort is cute. The beds are dreamy. They staff are kind, thoughtful and welcoming. They’ve even offered to cook to order to suit my post surgery needs. Everyone slating this place needs to get a grip. It’s not Negril or Rodney Bay - it’s unspoiled which makes it better!!

Before I review this place, I would like to start with a shout out to the staff in general and a special thanks to Vidya, Lexie, Nahshon, Racell Dexter & Gale. You all made my stay tolerable despite the shortcomings of the establishment and the lack of resources or support. Hotel is basic and in bad need of renovation. Bar fridges are broken and they serve the entire place using 2 ice boxes. Outdoor bar and dining areas are too hot to just sit in, they should put some fans and/or water sprayers. Major misleading info: 1. All inclusive: is not in anyway “ALL” inclusive as you’re only allowed a limited number of drinks, the majority you need to pay for including water. I asked the staff how come I can have unlimited amount of beer but not a bottle of water!! 2. Wave’s restaurant: is listed as part of the hotel/resort but in reality it’s just a separate restaurant and you’ll need to pay for everything regardless if you paid for all inclusive or not. 3. Games and activities: there’s absolutely nothing, not a single thing, so you better plan your own activities. 4. Swimming pool looks good in photos, but in reality it’s a very small. All in all, I’d recommend spending a bit more and enjoy your holiday rather than being stuck in such a dreary place.

A very run down dilapidated hotel, Needs complete refurbishment in every area. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The room smelt old and rusty, beds and pillows were just awful. Had to ask for towels both for room and beach everyday. The food was very poor, a repeat of the same thing for a week. Got slightly better because I complained few times. We had an All inclusive which was expensive just to receive very poor quality food/drinks. Nothing was fresh in terms of fruits for the drinks but just full of syrups added instead. Sandra, I guess the main cook was very pleasant and tried her very best. Vidya the manager was very kind and understanding and did her best to make our stay as stress free as possible. And lastly the food and beverage manager Latoya also tried at all accounts to make our stay as pleasant as possible and went out of her way to ensure that we were looked after. I was very thankful to these two ladies. Roger Moore, the gentleman who did the spa treatment body massage was a very lovely guy full of experience and very pleasant indeed. I would not return to this hotel as I strongly believe that the pictures/accommodation of this hotel was taken many many years ago and not been updated. Very disappointed having spent a vast amount of money just for one week hence the 1* rating.

The resort need a lot of work. (Negatives)The rooms were very outdated and I went to turn on the water in the bathroom the handle literally fell in the sink. Some not all of the staff was horrible my wife asked for a do not disturb sign because one was not in our room. Instantly the staff member got a attitude and said we will put in a order, next we asked for toilet paper on of the staff member rolled her eyes and told her coworker "good luck" as if we were inconveniencing them. It could have been no more that 15 people staying at this "resort" and my family was 10 of them. (Positives) The food was decent, and the workers in the cafe area were very courteous. Overall I would have just ignored the shape of the hotel if the workers were a little more respectful I personally would not be going back but if visiting this resort there are some nice places close by that are very entertaining.
