The luxurious Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa is located in Beau Vallon Bay, on the edge of the most popular beach of Mahe Island. With unique location, striking designs and landscaped tropical gardens of 16 acres, these are further enhanced by a world-class spa and a 700 sq. m swimming pool which is the largest in the Seychelles. Beau Vallon revels in its authentic seaside vibe and endless white sandy beaches that encourage swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling and other water sports. Fine sand, flat sandy bottom, low waves and stunning sunsets distinguish this beach from all others on the island. It takes only 25 minutes by car to get from Seychelles International Airport to the Resort. Our 163 spacious guest rooms and suites ranging from 51 up to 270 square meters boast inspirational views of the Morne Seychellois National Park lofty peaks, vibrant hotel gardens and the sparkling Indian Ocean. Step back inside the room and it’s all about soothing shades, natural textures and sleek lines. Finished to perfection, the individual air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen and exclusive L’Occitane amenities are just a handful of the 21st century luxuries to enjoy. The international chefs make full use of the island’s bounty as they show off their skills in three appealing venues. Sumptuous champagne breakfasts are served at the Grand Savoy Restaurant outdoor terrace overlooking the hotel's tropical gardens. For lunch, we recommend stopping by the Pescado gourmet restaurant. The freshest fish and seafood are delivered to the restaurant kitchen every morning directly from the ocean to be on your plate the same day. In the evening, choose between themed buffet dinners at the Grand Savoy, a romantic poolside dinner at Pescado or tropical cocktails at the Gecko Bar where you can enjoy the sunset over the ocean. Yet nothing underscores the luxury, laid-back vibe better than the world-class spa. This 5,800 sq. m sanctuary, Savoy Spa occupies a picturesque corner of the garden, away from the hustle and bustle. The combination of Eastern and Western traditions, classic and modern technics, advanced rejuvenation technology along with premium professional oils & cosmetics by Sothys Paris - all this allows us to provide visible results in the shortest possible time. Savoy Spa offers: a swimming pool, a gym, equipped with professional Matrix workout machines, 6 individual treatment rooms and 3 treatment rooms for couples, beauty salon, manicure and pedicure, Hammam and Russian bathhouse. Yoga instructors and fitness trainers conduct both group and individual classes for guests at any level: from beginner to advanced. Conference rooms and open-air venues of the hotel are perfect for conferences, seminars, incentive programs, corporate and private events for up to 300 people. Amirantes Ballroom is the largest column free venue of the hotel boasting natural daylight that allows to hold different kind of events. The ballroom can be divided into three parts (Marie Louise, Desroches and Alphonse) by soundproof partitions. Two meeting rooms (Boardroom I and Boardroom II) can be used for meetings of up to 25 persons or as an additional space during major events in the Amirantes Ballroom. Indeed, an exciting range of state-of-the-art facilities is on offer including a floodlit tennis court and dedicated Kids club, which is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm for children starting from 4 years old. In the game room there is a playground, a children's billiards, toys, books, and colouring books. Older children can spend time playing the console games. LEGO constructors are fun for everyone. The hotel is an excellent starting point for exploring the island. It’s also a perfect choice for beach and family holidays, wedding ceremonies, private and business events.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

I should have read the reviews! It would have saved us a very sad 10th anniversary which we will spend with a dehumidifier in the room. Our room smells of mould and apparently no other room is available. We arrived on Sunday evening and noticed a mouldy odour in our room upon arrival. We called the reception and asked for a different room because of the smell, but there was no manager on duty and the staff couldn’t move us. We should come to reception after breakfast the following day. We hardly slept that night. I called the reception the next morning, but no decision was made yet and I was asked to take breakfast first. We didn’t unpack as we didn’t believe they would ask us to stay 7 days in a mouldy smelling room. They do. The manger at reception told me he has no other room available. Congrats to the Savoy - lots of people like us still book here without reading the reviews before. Anyway, he sent a facility manager to check the aircon and he put a dehumidifier into our room. They changed the damp bedsheets and told us that the aircon is fine and we should just keep it on all day and night. Don’t get me wrong the facility manager is nice and the manager at reception is inviting us for a complimentary dinner, but I’m still sleeping with my family in a mouldy smelling room with aircon and a dehumidifier on. That’s not the kind of holiday I planned. I would much prefer a proper hotel room. Another interesting fact: you have to order coffee capsules from room service. I ordered a few as I like my first coffee early in the morning. They don’t change the coffee mugs thought. Room service wipes them…. I haven’t experienced this in any 5 star hotel before. Well I never had to pay for my coffee capsules before. The pool is big, the location at Beau Vallon, breakfast offers a good choice, but judging from the reviews here that mould issue isn’t new and they still rent out these rooms well knowing there is an issue. It could be your room.

In no way does this feel like a 5* hotel. Service was poor and slow, each time we wanted something by the pool we had to get up and go and find someone to take an order. We were also made to feel uncomfortable by the staff at the pool telling us we said we would give them tips (we did not) even though there is a service charge built in. Rooms are basic and tired. Overall this feels more like a 3* hotel and we would not recommend staying here as the quality of the service and standard of the room was not reflective of the price we paid to stay. However the hotel did set us up with an excellent tour guide (Selwin) for an Mahe island tour which we would recommend. He provided us with great service at a fair price.

This hotel stay was abysmal. In no way a 5 star hotel or experience. Mildew and its smell in the rooms (they obviously are aware of this problem seeing as multiple people complained about it). Blocked drains in the showers. Limited choice of meals if you have dietary requirements, so not ideal for a long stay. They will just say no without offering alternatives. The manager Sergey was unhelpful and ignorant. Would not even listen to any concerns. Our check-in experience was terrible, and then check-out was somehow just as bad. No hot water in the rooms, terrible wifi service. Extremely slow service in all the restaurants. Safe to say we won’t be staying in this hotel again nor would we ever recommend it. They need to have a star or 2 revoked.

We stayed at the Savoy for 4 nights in March. . On checking into our room, it was hugely disappointing; it felt old & tired which in turn made it feel grubby, & there was a horrible damp/ musty smell. Being 6 months pregnant, I just didn’t feel relaxed or comfortable & the smell seemed to get worse each day- everything felt damp. After two nights my husband raised it with the managers, who really kindly moved us to a new room on the other side of the hotel. These rooms were obviously much newer & it was so much better. They also bought us breakfast in our room with champagne to make up for the bad experience - a kind gesture which was gratefully appreciated. The pool area & pescado restaurant were lovely! The pool in huge & clean & lots of sun beds. Similarly the beach area is lovely, always had sun beds available although the service for drinks etc can be a little hit & miss! The massages we had in the spa were wonderful & the therapists were excellent & professional. We used the gym every day, it was fine but really, really needed a good clean- everything felt very dirty & smelly. It could be fantastic with a little bit of a scrub! Generally this was the theme throughout- a bit tired, needs some attention & love but can’t fault the people/ location & facilities. They try hard & the hotel is overall very clean & accommodating

Savoy Resort & Spa Beau Vallon is a really nice, clean hotel. The staff members are helpful, friendly. The food at the restaurants are great. The beach is close, there are sunbeds for the hotel guests. You can also us kayak or paddleboard. The rooms are big, clean, bed is comfortable. The wi-fi was fine in the rooms and also in the hotel's area. We arrived early (9 am) and we were able to settle in our rooms by 11 am. We had 3 rooms. We had a late flights, so we asked for late check out (9 pm) and they managed to provide us a room.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Everything is comfortable here, room, service, delicious food. Every day there is a different theme of food in the restaurant. There are additionally 2 ala cart restaurants (seafood, Chinese food in one and burgers, pizza in the other). During my stay at the hotel it was my birthday. How nice it was when the organizer Aliya offered to celebrate the holiday with breakfast by the ocean. It was magical. Coffee in pastel will no longer surprise you, but this breakfast will be remembered for a lifetime. emotions just went off the charts 👌😍. The service was top. Server name is Angelic from Geicko bar. I would also like to mention Aliya again. This girl made my stay at the hotel unforgettable. In addition, you can contact her on any issue, be it excursions or organizational issues. Very pleasant, knows her business 10 points! A must-have person for tourists 👌
