Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great, quiet, position out of Malcesine.
Walked 3 miles each way into Malcesine along an easy lake side path. Regular bus service too.
Hotel serves excellent breakfast selection of fruits, cereals, cold platters, pastries plus egg and bacon.
Rooms were very clean and cleaned daily with fresh towels.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
A 10 minute walk either side of the shore to Pizzeria Restaurants serving drinks / coffee / food.
An excellent holiday

The hotel is in a wonderful location right on the lake, separated only by the road. A great starting point for all kinds of excursions. The "all-inclusive" offer (really all-inclusive, including drinks) is also worth mentioning. The rooms are very clean; the mattresses are great; the shower is a bit small.

What could perhaps be improved is the dining area: it's more of a dining room than a restaurant. The furniture is a bit old and the lighting isn't quite up to date.

But we were only there for dinner, so our overall conclusion is: given the price, it's a real recommendation.

The staff are exceptionally helpful and efficient from the stafff on the desk to the restaurant and cleaning. And the food was always of great quality. The only thing that let the hotel down in my opinion is the lack of access for the wheelchair I unfortunately have to use. Around the hotel there is not a problem it is trying to get to the other side of the road there’s is a an underground walkway with steps but no easy way to get a wheelchair across.

Friendly, clean 4 star hotel right on the "Lago".
Whether all the rooms are so nice I don't know, but those on our floor were all similarly decorated.
The room was booked as a superior room, had 2 + one emergency bed. The beds were really good, but the emergency bed I would only put children through. In the room there was a quite good TV, air conditioning unused due to bad weather, a fridge and a safe. The bathroom was really spacious for what you get in Italy, or generally in the south, the shower large and everything very clean. In the room, another trash would have been nice.
The staff was very friendly throughout and seemed very inconspicuous but quite brisk eg in the dining room.
Our shower hose was broken and we told reception. When we came back after a few hours, it was renewed.
The dining room should perhaps be modernized, or at least the furniture changed, because the chairs did not shake, but were completely worn out.
In terms of price, the AI performance was perfectly fine. The beer and wine were quite good and the rest, except for what was offered as Coke, was also fine.
The 2 coffee machines worked great and if one bitched, staff was immediately on hand.
The food choices were relatively small, but what was offered was consistently good and tasty.
I'm not a sausage eater for breakfast, but the choice was a little too limited. Also a (soft-boiled?) breakfast egg would have been nice.
At the clean pool / pool area there is absolutely nothing to complain about and the large beds were clean comfortable.
The car was parked in a rather narrow underground car park, which was reached via an elevator. I thought it was funny, but some people have problems driving straight . . .
Since the hotel is located directly on the waterfront road, you can magnificently and without parking such stress explore the area by public transport, or the Tourist Bus Malcesine (for only 1,50€).
Our conclusion: Our Booking Referral was a very good choice.

The hotel wasn’t all bad. It was very clean, the swimming pool was lovely and the location is amazing. But it is not All Inclusive as advertised. Lunch options are dire, two options with potatoes. Twice there was no vegetarian option so I was made, what I can only imagine by the taste, was a tin of chopped tomatoes mixed with pasta. Asked for mozzarella cheese, was told there was Parmesan available (not vegetarian, was unable to discuss this given language barrier) Had to heap on chili and balsamic vinegar to make it edible. Apart from that meal, the food (albeit slim choices) was very good. But it was the same boring breakfast every day, no option of ice cream until 7 o clock which when travelling with a 5 year old is disappointing. I even tried at 6:30 one night and was told by a member of staff that I had to wait despite people usually starting dinner around 6:45. Not even one single night was there a choice of pizza… in Italy.
You can have gin, vodka or rum.. but you have to get it on the bottom floor of reception, then travel to the first floor to get the mixer of the cheapest syrupy lemon, orange or cola available.
The lady at the kids club is LOVELY, but personally did not feel I could leave my child there unattended and I sat outside whilst he played.
Overall disappointed as food is a massive part of a holiday for me and was very let down.
If you are travelling to Malcesine and plan to not eat or drink at your hotel and spend the day travelling or by the pool.. this hotel is for you. If you are travelling with a child and/or spending a lot of meal times in the hotel, this is not the hotel for you.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sole 4th - 11th May 2024. We stayed in room 235 which was to the side of the hotel but still had stunning views across the lake, also had amazing views from the dining room and pool side. The room was comfortable with daily maid service and fresh towels. The all inclusive menu offered lots of choice at breakfast lunch and dinner, delicious food and plenty of it which was self service buffet. A special thank you to head waiter Mohammed and Nayeem who work hard each day and also kept a meal for us on a late return from a trip to Venice. We hired bikes from the hotel and cycled along the stunning lake path down to Malcesine. There is also a bus stop directly opposite the hotel with an hourly tourist bus which is cheaper than the main service 484 bus. We would definitely stay again.

Text: Hotel is advertised as all inclusive on selected alcoholic drinks but unlimited soft drinks. The soft drinks can only be described as fizzy water with squash, they are not branded I. E coke or sprite you have to pay extra for these. In the downstairs bar. There are only 3 drinks included in the AI, gin, rum or vodka everything else had to be paid for.
The hotel advertises itself as smoke free. There were people openly smoking in the pool area& the veranda, ashtrays on each balcony. On the paperwork you are given on arrival it states it is a smoke free hotel.
Hotel also has a no dog policy according to their website, we saw 3 while we were there on separate occasions, one being in the dining room. When googling this Hotel Fido list this hotel as dog friendly and state you can take your dog for €10 per night.
Food was poor. Same desserts every night & food was not overly hot.
Good choice at breakfast, although bread had often run out by 08.30 and when asked if there was more was told no.
Chairs in the dining room are well passed their best. The leatherette is peeling off all of them which makes them look dirty.
The room and bathroom were clean but the sofa bed had seen better days, if we had a child with us I wouldn’t have allowed them to sleep on it as it looked dirty. There was bare Wiring in the downstairs toilet which was not connected.

Very nice hotel with all inclusive, about 4 km from Malcesine! Great room with a large balcony and modern new furnishings! Very nice side view of Lake Garda and Limone opposite! Large, beautiful pool! Great lounging area with thick mattresses in the "pavilion" (6 at the front of the pool)! Direct access to Lake Garda through the hotel's own underpass under the main road! Food at breakfast, lunch and dinner (always buffet) is great, but always self-service, which we found absolutely great because of the drinks during the day! 3 parking decks inside the hotel (the cars are transported by elevator) and a separate parking lot, separated from the street by a wall, at ground level next to the reception/bar for larger cars (larger SUVs and small buses like Multivan and similar!

Nice rooms.
Tremendous view over the lake from the room, from the restaurant, from the terrace and even from the swimming pool.
Friendly service.
Good all-inclusive concept.
Everything neat and clean.
Only small disadvantage: no light on the balcony to read a book or so.
Nice to have your own parkingspace in the hotel's parking garage, even though it required some driving skills.
All in all a beautifull location with a fantastic view. Absolutely worthwhile and recommendable!

A very nice clean hotel. Very nice staff whether at the reception and in the dining room. All inclusive well for beer and wine drinkers fine. But it's not just wine and beer drinkers. But the prices for Aperol and Grappa were fine. We look forward to coming back in 2025. Another positive review for the maids very friendly. All in all a great hotel. We look forward to 2025
