Idyllic! Unparalleled hospitality. They taught me to make gnocchi, pappardelle, stewed wild boar, and mushroom and tomato sauces. This is a great place to relax, immerse yourself in rural life, and explore the beautiful countryside and towns of southern Tuscany. Grappa, wine, limoncello, ricotta, olive oil, cheese, vegetables, herbs, biscotti, pasta--all are produced at this farm. Come here if you...

We stayed here for 5 nights half board and had our own aparment with kitchen. The apartment was spacious. The views from the farm was beautiful. Every morning we had a big breakfast spread (homemade jams, cakes, ham, cheese, etc). Elenora gave us advice on lots of villages and sights to visit from the farm. Ornella cooked delicious meals for...

STAY HERE!! This is one of the best experiences I have ever had. This is a true working farm with warm, friendly and fun hosts. You can rest, relax, tour area sites, work on the farm or cook in their restaurant kitchen!! Ornella and Claudio, along with daughter Eleonora, made my 7 days stay here extraordinary. They embraced me as...

We spent four nights at this Agriturismo and enjoyed every second of our stay. Ornella and Claudio welcomed us all in Italian, but made all they could to please us. They were later joined by their daughter Eleonora (who speaks English). They all were very friendly. Since the Agriturismo is far from any city, which means very quiet with a...

We arrived at the Agriturismo S. Apollinare rather wet and tired, having been caught in a prolonged storm on our way down from Abbadia San Salvatore, but found a wonderful welcome there. We were greeted by Eleanora and Ornella with ice cold orange juice, water and home made biscuits before being shown to our rooms which were at the top...

We happened to pass this place on our way back from Grossetto. It was dinnertime and we were hungry with at least an hour to go before we were back to our Agriturismo in Buenconvento. There wasn't a car in the lot or a person to be seen but we knocked on the restaurant door and Ornella appeared. She didn't...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
There is a small section of Tuscany were you can hear the rooster crow every morning, where you can see hills full of golden grain that waves in the wind, where you can still smell the typical aromas of ancient Tuscan culinary tradition at lunch and dinner time... This small corner of paradise is found on the slopes of Monte Amiata, in a sunny and isolated position (the center of the medieval village is only 10 km away), in one of the most beautiful national parks in the world, the Val D'Orcia (Unesco World Heritage Site). Here there is an old farmhouse that has been restructured and furnished in arte povera, where peace, tranquility and hospitality are the landlords. ... more   less
