Great historic hotel in Monforte. Only visited it but really liked it. Restaurant with nice view and garden seating. You have to reserve in advance, as they are not very flexible on last minute entries...
We booked the restaurant for my 50 years birthday, and had great expectations. We ordered piccolo choice dello chief, and the food was superb. Best so far in Piemonte. The wine choice however is another story. We have previous experience with piemonte wine and wanted...More

We booked about 4months in advance for a June trip. We stayed 4 nights at the Albergo residence and used it as a base for our visit to the Piemonte wine region. The residence and ristorante are separate but related operations and part of the deal for staying at the residence is that you book at least one meal at the Ristorante. We were asked to make our dinner reservation at the time of check-in. The ristorante is popular with tourists and was normally filled. If you are just planning on dining there I wouldn't think you'd need to reserve a table more than a week or so in advance, although truffle season is very popular and a little more time might be advisable.

"Corner room was very large and included a large dressing/entrance area. Beautiful room!"
