A stunning hotel away from the busier resorts on Crete but with some good shops, restaurants and bars nearby. We stayed half board in a deluxe suite with a private pool. The room was luxurious and the private pool was fantastic. The hotel had everything you would expect of a 5 star hotel in Crete. The hotel main pool is probably the largest hotel pool I’ve ever seen and there was never a problem with getting a sun bed. The indoor pool was equally as impressive. The hotel grounds and beach were also great. The buffet restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner as part of our half board package had a great selection of food at each meal all of very good quality. The only slight issue was my wife struggled with gluten free options at some meals and half board doesn’t include any drinks with the evening meal. Finally the staff within the hotel were excellent and even when we had a few minor problems these were resolved quickly. The staff are always there to help and make sure your stay meets your expectations. Highly recommend this hotel.…

Subject: A hotel vacation experience at the Avra Imperial Hotel, Crete, Greece September 24-29, 2023, we stayed at the hotel as guests. We were thrilled and even upgraded our room to the one with the pool. When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that we were not staying at the hotel itself but on the other side of the hotel, across the road. We were very disappointed and felt neglected. At the same time, we requested to immediately change the location of the room to the central hotel rooms since we are no different from the other hotel guests. We begged to move a room and fell on deaf ears. We booked a room in a 5-star hotel and not in a hostel outside the hotel. We immediately called the front desk and asked to change a room (name # Maria) she told us that we might change it the next day and they would get back to us and let us know. No one got back to us! After about half an hour the air conditioning in the room did not work. We called reception and they sent a team to clean the air conditioner ducts while we are out of the room. The next day, when we asked to change our room again, we were refused in the name of "sorry" without any explanations. Towards the evening you decided to change our room to a bigger room: a family room called: "Suite" in the same complex. We wanted to change the area not the room. We even offer to waive the pool without a refund Here are the flaws that were in the "Suite": * The entire time we were in the room, our room was not cleaned. Only on the third day after we informed you (picture attached) * During that entire period, the towels in the room were not changed until (again) only after we reminded you on the second day at 16:00. The towels arrived at 19:30. * The room was located next to and behind a large garbage can and we The smell stank all day and night (picture attached) * At the front of the room today are 2 huge generators / refrigerators that continued to make noise (photo + video attached) - 24/7. We couldn't open the balcony door or sit there or talk to each other at all (; * Around and near the room there are constantly workers making noise all day (we asked and understood that a large group should arrive in the next few days to this complex and we need to work there to arrange the "SUKA building" place for them) - as a result the bar by the pool is closed for the entire period. *The shower and toilet in the room were dirty - full of corrosion (picture attached) * The bathroom lock, which is an intimate place - broken (attached photo) * The trash can of the toilet - also broken (picture attached) * TV remote control without batteries. * Mini bar half empty. Until we asked to fill it. (I even ask to pay for the other 2 we drank in the first room) * There is no soap in the dispenser - O.M.G it's basic! * No internet; Because we are not in the hotel itself, there is no internet reception, so the ability to connect the iPhone to the TV fails *The reception service was long, tedious and continuous/ *When it rained, how did you expect us to get to meals at the central hotel? * 3 times power outages in the room. In conclusion, was very disappointing! not recommended!!! We received a reply from the hotel that they are sorry, and offer us a 40% discount for our next vacation at their hotel. Who wants to visit them again? it's joke? They should be ashamed!!!!…

I strongly recommend Avra Imperial hotel for summer holiday. Overall a value for money all inclusive package with lots of choice of restaurants and bars. Open spaces, great ambiance, clean and well maintained property ideal for relaxation. Staff is friendly and helpful. We will surely come back

We stayed at Avra for a week. It is our second time here and we love it. Weather is always warm and the massive pools are paradise on earth 🌎 Our suite was spacious, well equipped and clean. Great property with wide open spaces, vibrant atmosphere and massive pools and beautiful pool lounge. Staff is friendly providing great service especially in housekeeping. The cleaning service is impeccable all over. The rooms are super clean and well maintained. Good quality is in high levels, especially in a la crate outlets. Avra Imperial offered a fantastic experience during our visit. First off all, the prices were super reasonable. The rooms were phenomenal, always neat and tidy, creating a calm environment after our day trips. But what really stood out was the staff.
