Stayed twice in Sept 2012 for 2 days and then 3 days and toured Skopelos in between. Location is excellent , the pool and sun bathing area is very good , breakfast is good for Greece and the rooms are good . The young manager Babis is a star -- an absolute pleasure to deal with. When we return to Skopelos (as we surely will ) the Dolphin will be our first port of call

Right on port. Close to bars, restaurants bus stops etc. Pool is lovely but lacks atmosphere. When we booked a year earlier Tui brochure said there was pool bar. Well there was but it’s not currently open. We stayed in room 409 for the first 4 nights - which is up two flights of stairs and had lovely view of Skopelos town side view. We asked for a change of room to be at front of hotel and then stayed in 105 for the rest of our fortnight break - had to pay a premium but was worth it to watch the world go by from the balcony. (Note there are only two rooms on front with a view as palm trees in way).
Breakfast is Greek basic but fine although there’s no toaster. No tea and coffee facilities in room so take kettle if you want a cuppa. All rooms have fridges. Very clean hotel and staff work really hard. Plenty of clean towels etc. Typically Greek 2* no complaints other than lack of atmosphere. First and third pics are views from room 409. Second pic outside breakfast area. Fourth pic view from balcony room 105.

We stayed here 14th Sept for 2 weeks, our room was 309, over looking the garden with a small fountain. Basic room, clean sheets and towels every other day. Breakfast was typically greek, yogurt, fruit ( peaches every day), lovely bread, cheese, ham, eggs. Friendly staff, pool bar not open but you could get drinks from main bar in the hotel. We found it a good base for exploring the town and island. The hotel was clean as was the pool area, no problems getting a sun bed. My only problem was there was no safe in the rooms, valuables could be left in the hotel safe.

Beware that worse has happened to us.. We travel here every year and in 15 years we have never encountered such rudeness, indifference, audacity.. Well, it all started when we entered our room, the bed, what a bed, a wooden bed and a mattress with a burgundy headboard which was in white stains, I throw wet wipes on the bedside towel, one with a hole and one with red marks, obviously from blood, at the reception they said they would fix it, but they didn't, my wife took it all out... after two days it happened highlight, we came back from the beach and found the room with black marks on the bottom and instead of a mat outside the bathroom, a torn cloth, the woman went down to the reception and after a while a cleaning lady came, I took a bath and my hair stood up.. Take the cloth, throw the mat if you want what else?? Mop up, says the woman... they are mopped up... and what are these black stains... any cat or bird can bite... she starts mopping up, steps on the woman's shoes, and then there was a huge hair on the towel for to which she said ok, throw it away..my wife is in a relationship, you understand... She takes the hair and the cleaning lady throws it down and as she leaves she curses it..we both went downstairs to make a complaint where they called us crazy saying that the cleaning lady doesn't know Greek.. And another cleaning lady passing by and saying that if she opens her mouth, she doesn't close it.. SHOCK!!!! The lady in charge said if you don't like it, leave and go somewhere else... The worst thing that ever happened to me

Excellent service and room!! Every day when we returned from our walk we found clean towels, sheets and generally a clean and tidy room. Comfortable with all amenities. The only negative was that the internet was not working, but going on vacation and wanting to explore Skopelos we had taken care of that!

The staff were rude and we were thrown out the pool at 7:40 when it closes at 8 or 9 (not too sure as it kept changing). Staff receptionist lady (reddish, brownish hair) was very rude and not nice as for the young man at reception was lovely and told us about the times of closing and told us 20mins before so we could get ready to go. As advertised it says there’s a pool bar, well where is the bar tender I hear you ask? I don’t know because the bar was closed and not even any signs to tell us why. Rooms were small and hard to open balcony door. Wasn’t satisfied and defo won’t come again.

This is a typically Greek hotel. The staff are wonderful, always smiling and ready to talk or help out with information or requests. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The feature fountain is cleaned frequently, resulting in crystal waters flowing from the fountains.
We stayed as a family of four, mum, dad, 18 year old son and 16 year old daughter. The bedrooms were sufficient for our needs and had the added benefit of a fridge - which was very welcome. The balcony was lovely and overlooked the fountain and garden area (rooms 202 and 203). The air conditioning was good and chilled the room nicely when needed. The bathroom was okay, but the shower was not contained within the curtained area, resulting in overflow into the rest of the bathroom. This was not a major problem as we were supplied with foot mats to place outside of the bathroom door. Our towels were changed as frequently as requested (we left them in the shower cubicle when we wanted them changing).
Breakfast was served in the lovely dining room and was more than adequate. There was ample fresh cheese, eggs and ham, delicious breads, plus cereals and breakfast sweets. There is a lovely terrace to the front of the hotel where an after breakfast coffee can be enjoyed as you watch Skopelos begin the new day.
The pool area was lovely and very quiet, no rush to get a sunbed at anytime of the day. Again, spotlessly clean and very well maintained.
The location of the hotel was perfect, easy access to buses, taxis, beaches and the many wonderful restaurants and tavernas of Skopelos.
I would most definitely recommend this hotel!

I stayed at this hotel together with my boyfriend for a short vacation and can highly recommend it. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful, the hotel rooms always clean with fresh towels and definitely big enough size-wise. We enjoyed having our apartment close to the hotels pool. The hotel pool was perfect to fully relax - not only it looked beautiful and was big enough for us to enjoy the sun and water, but most importantly it was always clean! A very big plus!!!

For the evenings, a good thing is that the hotel is quite central in terms of location which makes it a short trip to shopping or dining places.

Overall we were super happy with our stay and could not have asked for a better value for money ratio!!

Thanks so much to the hotel team!! :):)

One tip: Rent a car when you are around here and explore the neighborhood but also other parts of the island - it is definitely worth it!! You will be impressed by what this island has to offer :)
