I spent a 2 night weekend here with a yogagroup in the early part of November. We arrived to Karlaby on a rainy Friday afternoon. At 3 PM our rooms were still not quite finished, so we had a wait a little. Not a major flaw, but still not perfect. The hotel is located in a traditional "Skånelänga", around a...

I'm not overly excited about this hotel but I can't complain either really. The setting is really quaint in the countryside and the hotel is very quite and comfortable. I think it's not really good value for money but then there's not a whole lot to say about the prices given the hotel is in a unique place away from...

We have visited this hotel once before by fortunate accident. This time when at meetings in Western Denmark, we thought is worth hiring a car, crossing the bridge and driving here for a few days 'en route' to Copenhagen Airport. Not that there are not great locations in Denmark. It is just that we found this place special the first...

A charming and secluded inn located in the southern Sweden close to beautiful nature trails. The staff is more than friendly, the rooms spacious and the food is divine. This place is a perfect getaway for a romantic weekend.

We night stopped at Karlaby Kro during June 2015. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, especially with regard to the needs of our one year old son. The room was spacious, with sumptuous furnishings and one of the biggest en-suite bathrooms i have ever seen - room 9 for those who may be interested. There was...

Waay out in the countryside you'll enjoy the peace and quiet with a sprinkle of wellness and fine dining. Clean and quaint, with that inn feel so hard to find, where it doesnt feel run down. a small place with 22 rooms, a bar, restaurant and wellness with pool and sauna. Swedish massage is available too. Room looked recently renovated,...

Karlaby Kro is a nice experience . We had booked a weekend gourmet stay. Upon arrival a very friendly receptionist greeted us. The rooms are large and is located in both the main house and in the 3 wings. The room standard is fine, as is the bathroom. Personally, I prefer a firm hand soap, but the liquid soap and...

Me and my fiancé stayed here the last two nights of our two week Swedish summer vacation. Österlen is a beautiful part of Sweden definitely worth visiting and Karlaby Kro a great place to stay while doing so. The hotel is built in a an old and typical farm in the middle of the country side. Rooms are sizeable, clean...

I had gotten a voucher for christmas for a 2 person stay and gourmet dinner at Karlaby Kro. We started out happy and set the course for southern Sweden. The place was nice and in stress free surroundings. We had an upgrade for the room and that was really nice and big so the expectations kept increasing. However the food...

Our department had an off-site at Karlaby Kro 10 days ago. The place is beautiful and the environment is charming. Although it was not very cold outside (around 0 deg C), the common areas such as the dining room and the conference room were very cold. I am personally not disturbed by that, but most of my colleagues had to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Karlaby Kro is a small hotel and restaurant located in Osterlen. We are open all year and the restaurant welcomes everyone, not only guests of the hotel. On your way here, you pass through villages with names such as Baskemolla and Gladsax. You turn onto a dirt road and there, amid rape fields and farmland, lies our whitewashed Skane farm. Karlaby Kro is a place for peace and tranquility. The nature and surroundings make Karlaby Kro a place that exudes peace and tranquility. You'll find the bar and reception in the main building, while the hotel rooms are located in what was one the farm stables. Here you'll also find the guest living room with fireplace. The former stables also house the poolroom with a 12 x 4 meter indoor pool and sauna. With light streaming in through the glass roof, the poolroom is a warm and lovely room to sit in, even if you don't wish to swim or take a sauna. You may also enjoy a spa treatment in this room. During summer you can sit on the terrace outside or rest in the hanging beds in the pergola just next to it. ... more   less
