Stayed here for 10 nights just after the hotels were allowed to reopen
We were the only 2 guests but as the resort only has 14 rooms it did not feel to surreal. Ed and the team were superb and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing fresh bread and pastries from a French bakery fruit and omelettes thai dishes etc
Evening meals were equally as good with a small selection of Thai dishes.
The resort was spotless it's hard to believe it is 10 years old. Nice pool that could probably get busy in peak season.
Our room was a nice nice with everything you could need and a stunning view.
Staff were all helpful if a little shy ... but you tend to find this at most high end places in Thailand.

Would definitely love to return here

Should you head to Koh Samui, Thailand, we'd HIGHLY recommend this boutique hotel. It's at the end of Lamai Beach, so away from any possible hustle and bustle, but a quick walk in for some when you want. There's only 14 rooms, but they're horse shoed around the pool that faces the ocean.

Quick note with the COVID-19 virus. We were the last at the resort, with some French couples leave over the 2 days prior to us. It was our understanding that the management of the hotel had a meeting with the staff and is apparently going to, with no current bookings due to the current situation, keep them on payroll as long as possible. Hopefully this all passes soon and things pick up for everyone around the world, including the Beluga.

All of the staff were exceptional from start to finish. The rooms were quite comfortable and spacious with balconies outside facing the pool/ocean. We think we had the best room (A6) as we have the front corner (to the left/rear of the pool when facing the ocean), 2nd (top) floor. But all of them, being only 14, would have been just as good since it is only a small hotel.

The food was also exceptional, from breakfast (bread/croissants/etc, eggs/meats to order, fresh fruit, jam, cereal, etc). Lunch or dinner, the same. Everything we ate was prepared fresh to order, and excellent quality and taste. Highly recommend the Massaman. Tried it 3 other places and didn't compare to Beluga's. Pretty much the same for everything else on the menu that we tried.

I enjoyed very much my stay in Beluga tkanks the most kind and customers oriented staff that I met during my trip in Thailand. All staff which took care of me during breakfast time, cleaning my room and at the bar, comes from Myanmar. Now I don't know about this country,I have never been there, but if they are the mirror of this country, I will wait until the situation changes to visit this country too.
The only one negativ point when I wanted to pay the bill at the bar, with a debit card, they spoke about 3% fee charge, what it's not allowed.Who run the business pay the fee to the bank not the customer. If they only want to accept cash payment, they have to say clearly on the different booking platforms.

The room was very small and not well designed. We travel overseas every year. The last time we have seen a hotel room this small was in central Hong Kong.

We had to clear out most of the stuff on the one (and only) table so we could put our suitcases on it. We didn’t want to use their suitcases racks because we wanted more walking space. And they also had the smallest night-stands -- the size of an iPad. We wanted an upgrade to a bigger room, but they were all booked.

Despite this, the beautiful property and good customer service from the staff made up for the small inconvenience. And it was a short walk to many great things.

On a side note, they delivered a scooter (in very good condition) to us the next morning when we asked about it in one short text message. We appreciated this very much!

There is no WiFi, the room are too small. The TV does not work, the staff kept asking for tips and the pool is a joke.

Don’t go, the reviews and stars are
Not real.

We stayed for 4 nights, the breakfast was limited and stale… the staff does not speak basic English so there was a lag but overall the place was not worth it. We paid 4,500 and later the price was 2,500 - fact is we stayed out all day and most night otherwise this place was not bearable.

The access to beach is a trap to accident and injury.
Just skip this one

We stayed for 6 nights after 2 weeks of city breaks and found this hotel to be perfect for relaxing. Only 14 rooms so no mad rush for breakfast which was limited but very nice.
Located at the end of Lamai beach and only a short walk to bars and restaurants or a cheap taxi ride to the centre where there are lots more bars and restaurants
All the staff were really nice and pleasant especially win and nine who were always smiling and laughing.
Would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to chill

We spent 10 nights (3+7) in the Beluga Hotel and everything exceeded our expectations: kind and professional staff, delicious food, nice beach, beautiful view, everything is clean.
It's a boutique hotel with only 14 rooms, so it was always pretty quite.
We traveled for 2 nights to Koh Tao and the manager organized the transportation for us.
Summarizing: we loved it.

the best hotel if you want to be cut off from noise and tourism! the staff is the most helpful I have experienced.
be aware that there is a bar in the backyard that has loud music. they happily turn down if tell Them to.
the only minus is the humidity in the room. the bathroom constantly smelled strange. in addition, our clothes also got damp. maybe it can be avoided by having AC on all day - however, we only got one key card so that was not possible.

I spent 5 days on Beluga Boutique Hotel around New Years Eve 2021. The staff is the friendliest staff that I have experienced. Great small beach, not many tourists, friendly faces, and a great Pad Thai. Nice and quiet. Only minus is the bad smell in the bathroom (mold smelling earthy/musty). I give my highest recommendations for this hotel.

After a lot of researching my fiancé and I finally decided to stay at the Beluga Boutique Hotel for our summer holiday, and I am so thankful for that! We stayed 14 nights at this small sanctuary, and here are some of my personal experiences;

THE HOTEL/ROOM
The hotel is relatively small, only 14 rooms and suiting pool/restaurant/bar/lounge area. Fresh and modern design. The room was in my opinion just a little bit smaller than I had expected, but still fine since we never really stayed in the room except for sleeping. The rooms are equipped with all necessities like a hairdryer, a kettle and assorted coffee and tea, shampoo, soap and conditioner, laundry bags, a safe, tv and air-condition. The bed was really comfortable and we slept like babies every night. The rooms were cleaned every day.The age limit of the hotel is 18 years, which means it´s quite peaceful and calm.

LOCATION/BEACH
The hotel is located at the very end of Lamai Beach. The Beluga beach is real private (note we stayed there in low season, so it is probably more crowded in high season). There were only six sun beds on the actual beach, though we never had any problems getting them since most of the residents used the day beds in the lounging area. The sand is coarse-grained but comfortable, and there are some large rocks in the sea which actually made it really fun to snorkel. But be careful when you get close, they have razor sharp shells on them! I would recommend purchasing swimming shoes, and watch your fingers too. But don´t worry, if you prefer a more sandy seabed you only have to walk (or swim) a few minutes along the beach. By the way, the hotel is located right beside the Hin Ta Hin Yay (grandfather and grandmother rock) which offers great scenery, especially in the sunset. You can walk along the beach for about 15-20 minutes to get to the shopping street/centre of Lamai, though we usually took a taxi and paid 200-300 baht. Note I am not the haggling type. To get to the bigger centre Chaweng we took taxi for about 10-15 minutes and usually paid 400 baht, although there were some cheeky drivers who tried to charge the double a couple of times.

PRICE
The Beluga Boutique Hotel is a rather expensive hotel, especially in comparison to other hotels in Thailand (we did some research). We payed just over 86 euros/ 3500 baht per night, and we were told by locals that we could stay at nice hotels for far below half the price. Still - the over all feeling is that every penny was well spent at the Beluga. This is as mentioned our first trip to Thailand, so I don´t have other prices or hotels to compare to. Take notice that drinks at the hotel bar are twice and sometimes three times more expensive than in local bars.

HOTEL RESTAURANT
Breakfast is included, and I remember reading a few poor reviews on this before we left on our holiday. We were on the other hand quite pleased with the hotel breakfast. immediately after being seated we were given a plate with assorted fresh fruits, and drinks of our choice. Several types of juice, tea, coffee, ice coffee and more. All free. Then we were given a large plate with bread and two types of sweets, like for example croissants and mini pancakes - and also a small plate with butter, cheese and ham and one with two types of jam and honey. In addition to this we were also offered yoghurt with muesli, scrambled or cooked eggs and bacon. And I am under the impression that the staff would bend over backwards to assure we were content with our meals. We also had lunch and dinner quite a few times at the hotel, and the food there is really good. A bit more pricy then in Lamai and Chaweng - of course - but still cheap seen with norwegian eyes. The food was really great and of high standard, and I can highly recommend the Massaman (tried this one in other restaurants too, but the best Massaman is definitely at the Beluga!) Tom Yum and tom Ka for dinner, and for lunch I often had the Ceasar salad or the club sandwich.

STAFF/SERVICE
Ah, the lovely staff of the Beluga. One of the main reasons I feel the relatively stiff price of the hotel was worth it was due to the outstanding staff and management. They were so easy to talk with and really helpful and kind! The moment we arrived we felt at home. They never intruded our privacy, yet always saw what we needed. The night of our arrival we were even given a free welcoming dinner, which was really nice. We never felt like we were missing anything, our needs were well taken care of. Excellent!

I hope this can be of any help for someone looking to book their dream holiday. We can both highly recommend staying at the Beluga!

That’s strange. The room we stayed in only had one king sized bed and I don’t think others had multiple beds. We just booked the standard room on the ground floor. It’s a lovely hotel!
