Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Firstly the couple that run the B&B are faultless. Friendly, helpful and have all sorts of information to assist your stay. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The gardens are beautiful however the pool is in need of work if you're feeling like a dip! Difficult to fault really and in our stay in Argentina it becomes difficult to rate one hotel against another. Was this the best place we'd stayed, no. But it certainly was good for what we required and well placed for Salta Airport.

Fabulous small B&B with personable kind hosts. A wonderful place to relax. We loved the spacious garden and the pool. Delicious breakfasts too with eggs and pancakes, tea and coffee. Thank you Alex and Rikje for welcoming us so beautifully.

I strongly recommend staying at Casa Hernandez. Ideally located on the outskirts of Salta city, in a picturesque neighbourhood, this b&b is a realm of peace and quiet, with an enourmous backyard. We stayed in the deluxe room, which was very spacious and well equipped. The bed is super comfy and the shower has good pressure of water and tons of hot water. A generous and delicious breakfast is offered every morning, which is a great way to start the day. I want to highlight the hospitality and kindness of Alex and Rijkje, owners of the B&B, who made our stay super enjoyable. Their suggestions turned out to be very useful during our trip and they made us feel at home! Alex and Rijkje, thanks a lot! Hope we see each other again soon!

My friend and I booked Casa Hernandez on the recommendation of friend in Canada. She had nothing but good things to say about the accommodation and especially the hosts, Alex and Rijike. We were not led astray and thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at Casa Hernandez. Unfortunately Rijike was with her mother in Holland so we never did meet her, but we certainly met Alex, an energetic and gracious host. We appreciated his efforts to make us feel at home and his recommendations about our trip north to the Salinas Grandes and our day trip to Salta. We had a lovely evening on the patio with other guests, imbibing on local cerveza, vino and pizza...it was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Alex, from your two Canadian travelers!

We stayed with Alex and Rijkje from March 22 to March 28, 2018 and we had a fantastic time there. Immediately upon entering we were welcomed with a beer and Alex knew immediately to give us good tips for daytrips! Alex and Rijkje have also arranged the taxis to pick us up. They were very hospitable and they made a delicious breakfast every morning. Also the room was cleaned every day and the laundry can be done by them for a small fee. In short, it was really excellent! Wassim & Hidde Jan

Alex and Rijike were amazing hosts, friendly and very helpful, giving us maps to help us along our way when travelling in our car to Cachi and Calafate.. We stayed in the garden cabin which had a little kitchen which was useful. The cabin is basic but is very realistically priced and has everything you need, plus, their lovely garden and pool was a great place to relax. My fiancé and them, spent a few hours in the afternoon one day putting the world to right over drinks on the terrace and it's memories such as these that go to make your holiday. We have fond memories of our time with them, so if you want to be welcomed like old friends and don't want to stay in the centre of Salta, then this is definitely the place to stay.

It's not easy to add anything new to the positive reviews posted already. Given the price we paid, we were slightly anxious about what adventure we were diving into, but after one night only we wished we could have stayed much longer. We had an enormous room with a matching big bathroom. The place was easy to find (thank you Google). Still suffering from jet-lag we really appreciated how quiet it was, allowing us to sleep well and wake up fresh for a simple but good-enough breakfast with freshly home baked bread. The personal touch and the help given to fix a rental car issue is much appreciated.

We recently stayed at Casa Hernandez B&B for five nights. Rijkie and Alex could not have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. They went out of their way to ensure that our visit to Salta was memorable: From arranging our day tours to offering to do our laundry. Alex dropped us into Salta for our early morning tour pickups and Rijkie would make us breakfast to go. For those days when we had more time, they provided a local bus card which allowed us to easily get into and around Salta any time of day or night. Alex has a great sense of humour and is always ready with a funny anecdote or a quick one-liner. Together they made us feel as if we were part of their family for those few shot days. Thanks you Rijkie and Alex.
