We returned after missing 3 years and were treated to a fantastic welcome - a genuine home coming! This is a fabulous place to stay and is following all the COVID rules! Nothing is too much for the staff. The Greek food is excellent and home-made by Tanya with Vasilis and Vitalis looking after all our needs. Not forgetting, of course, Mr. Kostas who makes this a very special place indeed!

Our family have had the best 12 night holiday at the hotel Mathios village. The manager and his staff work VERY hard to make everything perfect for your time with them. Kostas arranged hire cars, trips & transfers and nothing was too much trouble. The room & hotel was very clean with excellent facilities. We wanted to thank the staff for making our holiday so special and we will be back!!

Hotel Mathios Village is a lovely hotel on the edge of Akrotiri and away from the crowds of Fira and La Oia. We received a very warm welcome from the owner, Kostas, and from Maria on reception, and all the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped. The infinity pool and surrounding grounds were beautifully laid out, with pretty bougainvillea and pot plants to add splashes of colour. Everything was well maintained and spotlessly clean. There is a very good restaurant overlooking the pool, serving fresh, well-presented food. The Akrotiri area is perfect if you want the best of all worlds: a peaceful place to stay, with very good beaches, a world-class excavation site and fabulous views of both sides of the island, all within easy reach of the village. Visits to Megalachori just a few kilometres from Akrotiri, Fira in the centre of the island and La Oia at the other end, are a must, but be prepared for the crowds of tourists who flock there. At the end of your visits you can then return to the peace and quiet of Hotel Mathios!

Hotel Village Mathios is an up scale hotel complex located in the small village of Akrotiri. A few kilometers away from the crowded hubbub of Thira, Akrotiri is located close to magnificent ruins, picturesque villages. prime uncrowded beaches, seafood and other Greek cuisine restaurants. The hotel has spacious rooms, an infinity pool, an excellent restaurant, and features an all inclusive breakfast. Of course, the affable Kostas, the General Manager, is available with marvelous suggestions for sight-seeing, beaches, and restaurants. We plan to return on our next visit to the Greek Islands!
