Eva could have not been more helpful when we had to rearrange dates due to the ferry strike. She is very charming and relaxed. As for Gorgona it is the best place we stayed for many reasons. The hotel itself is immaculate our room Pikri Nero was very spacious with a separate cooler bedroom. Bed very comfortable and superb very powerful rain shower. Very calm and serene vibe with delightful owners. On the best beach in Ios and the outlook from our balcony was the best waking upto the sunrise daily. The bus stop was outside the hotel so perfect for getting around. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Perfect location in Ios, kind and professional staff. Very good and rich breakfast. Clean and tidy. Strongly recommend! Thought Ios was a very loud place, instead we found the perfect combination between quiet and amusement. Restaurants and shops are near. All the amenities right on hand. Thank you 😊

A traditional style but also very modern. Spotless, run by very friendly nice people. Breakfast was exceptional, especially the local preserves and Ios honey. Our room had a great modern shower and toilet. The hotel is decorated beautifully with a nautical theme, there are lots of ships and mirrors made from old driftwood, old anchors, buoys, shells etc. This is as good as it gets, the care and attention to detail by the owners is very evident. The hotel is right beside the last bus stop on the beach and you can more or less get anywhere worth visiting on Ios from this location.

Fantastic place Ios is much more than a party island. Yes it is there but it also has this special vibe to it. Gorgona is fantastically located just on the beach. Clean, good breakfast and friendly staff! If you hesitate don’t and book it! You will not have any regrets!!!

Gorgeous little gem. We were there the 3rd week in September - the backpackers and party goers must have all gone by this time as it was very (very) quiet. The room was beautiful and the view was what postcards are made of. We ate at the little restaurant attached a couple of times which was wonderful and the restaurants we tried on the main strip were good. It's a great base to explore from and I'd highly recommend it. Can't wait to go back

We only stayed here for one night due to a complication with our travel plans due to COVID :( We originally booked Gorgona and had to change it last minute. The family who run this place were super accommodating and helpful, they could have done more for us. The hotel is on the end of the beach raised up, opposite the only bus stop you need, the bus goes too and from the beach to the port via the town centre. The whole place is super clean and pretty. Our view was amazing and literally on the beach. On the same road is a combination of shops, bars beach clubs, restaurants and more. The room had a tv, balcony and plenty of room to lay out your case. The bath room was very well decorated and well equipped. 100% would stay again and for much longer Ios and this location in particular is amazing.…

Gorgona means mermaid - and a most appropriate name too - we were certainly in touch with the sea with our room anyway. If you like falling asleep to the gentle sound of the sea then this is for you. Lovely well kept and organised pretty rooms on top of the long, golden sand, beach and sea. Very clean and very quiet ( nb we traveled during the later phase of Corvid restrictions ) Owned by a very helpful couple who gave us lots of worthwhile tips. eg boat trips from the nearby English owned Meltemi Watersports. The breakfast was great ; very healthy and wholesome. Her “Bougatsa” is to die for! So too the apricots off their trees. Thank goodness; no greasy English breakfast in sight! Next door was Drakos, the top fish taverna on Ios. A less expensive version is Akrogiali in the Port, easily reached by the hourly bus service at 1.60 e. Or try the nearby Italian pizzas. Both recommended by our hosts. So too a visit to the main town. So pretty. We miss Gorgona and Im sure we will return sooner than later. Next time we will rent a quad bike from nearby Costa Cars and go further afield.…

We couldn't have chosen better for our trip to Ios! The location is unforgettable, at the very end of Mylopotas Bay, in a perfect position for sunbathing all day long and getting in touch with the enchanting sandy beach of Mylopotas. Our stay was comfortable and the welcome had been extremely warm. I have to underline the kindness of the owners of the inn. Breakfast was not included, but if you pay a small extra you will be able to taste the real Cycladic cousine. We end this vacation full of positive memories and can't wait to be back here!

My partner and stepdaughter have recently had a 5 day stay which was perfect.I have been going to Ios for over 30 years and this is the best place I have stayed by far. The owners could not be more helpful and the location is perfect at the end of the beach. The room was spotless and the breakfast very good but the outstanding part is that the owners are friendly and helped out with such things as a cancelled ferry and allowing us to stay in the room longer than normal. I will hopefully be returning later in the year.

This hotel is right at the edge of Mylopatos beach. As mentioned by previous reviewers, the owners are lovely people who who put so much care into this family owned gem! We stayed 6 days here and while IOS is a bit of a party place for my liking, the hotel & it’s amenities are more than what I expected. There is wifi, very clean, dish cloth changed every day, mini fridge, kettle, dishes. The sheets were crisp & white, towels changed daily, air conditioning etc. The view was breathtaking & every room has its open patio area where you can sit & enjoy at your leisure or walk to the beach which is a hop away (right on the beach). This was a family trip (3 adults & 1 teenager). The beach is busy with a very young crowd. Buses very frequent, right in front of the hotel which can take you to the port or the town of Chora which is about 10 minutes away. Gorgona is located walking distance to all the rustic restaurants, many to choose from. You can get authentic Italian to Mexican. I would highly recommend this priceless gem!…
