We had the comfort house for 6 people and an infant. It was very small, in some cases there wasn’t enough room for a night stand. Two bedrooms with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. There wasn’t space to put the complimentary babybed in a bedroom.
The matrasses were quite uncomfortable; cheap and hard. Even though it was the middle of the winter and the bedrooms were hard to keep warm, the blankets were very thin. But we ordered extra. Without bedlinnen, of course. In the paid sttarter kit there was 1 roll of toilet paper, a small bottle of dishwasher soap and cleaning towels. No hand soap, dish towel or hand towel, salt, pepper etc. There is a toaster, mixer, pans, pots, dishwasher brush and a microwave. The wifi was so slow and had such a bad connection, we hardly used it. Our own mobile 3G connection was better.
There is a fireplace but no wood. In the shop you can buy those but there very expensive and not long lasting. Better to buy at a normal supermarket.
There is one bathroom, small with a shower in the bathtub, a double faucet and a little bit of space for toiletten. Not enough for 7 people though.. Simple but good enough. Not a lot of hot water though..
The houses looked like they were build in the early eighties and apart from some minimal changes, has never been renovated.

The park is beautiful. All the houses are around a lake with a road around and a walking road next to the lake (not well lit though). Lots of outdoor activities with a fun play and swim part made in the lake. In the winter, you can go to the dome with a big swim paradise, market (limited and very expensive!), 4 restaurants and a cafe. Beautiful in a tropical setting. Fun for the kids. The pancake restaurant was pretty bad; very slow and inefficient service and overbaked cheese.
The Emmen Wildlands are close by and is really fun for all ages!

You should go here to enjoy all the activities the place has to offer, but if you’re here mostly to be together in a house.. I would suggest to go somewhere else.

As in my previous review, De Huttenheutge is still my favorite but gets really dated now. Lot things to do , Aqua Mundo, House of Games, wall climbing, zip wire, bowling, golf ect. ect.

This time and for the very first time I was absolutely disgusted by one member of staff in the house of games. She was one of the rudest person I've ever met in any kind of business (Hotel, restaurant or retail). Especially to kids! If you don't like your job , LEAVE !!! Anyway I complained this matter the next day to the park manager who was luckily on duty at this time. He's really helpful and also offered a compensation, which I declined because that's not I was after. But thanks anyway.

I also explained him that the bungalows are really much dated and urgently need an update. He apologized and explained that this is a known issue but that big funds for the update of the park will be allocated for 2018/2019 so the bungalows get refurbished. I really hope that will happen.

Will I return ? If it gets updated, yes but first I will be visiting the brand new park in Longford, Ireland because it will be closer for me than Holland or England.

This is our third stay at Centerparcs. We prviously stayed at De Kempervennen and at Het Heijderbos.

Village location is about two hours drive from Amsterdam. Take that into consideration when coming to the Neteherlands by flight.

As with our last visits, we ordered the VIP cottage. Specifically number 793. This is a large cottage, built as a single unit - with no other cottages attached to it, and with a private parking. We were a groups of 6 guests, and the cottage accomodated us all with no problem. 3 bedrooms, 2 very large showers, Private sauna, and everything in the cottage is new. We got it clean and all setup.

Our stay was due to end on Monday, but since our flight was scheduled to Tuesday, we requested to extend our stay for one more night. Employees at the information center could not help us, HQ customer service wouldn't even listen to our request, sending us to close this issue with the local office. So we headed back to the information, where we met the local maanger. She helped us a lot, and was able to offier the same cottage for one more night at a reduced price. Saved the day.

Important issue with the Center Parcs Bonus Cheque: Even tough their websites says you can use it to pay anywhere in the park during your stay, it is now redeemable in the food store and the house of games. This information is only available in the Deutch website and not in the English website. We sounded our complaint about that several times without any help from the local or HQ office. Once again, the local manager saved the day, and offered to refund whatever amount we will not use upon the time of our depart.

Overall, the park is very nice, quite and calm. Great place for a family holiday, but still yet: There is an overall feeling that the village is not for the non-deutch speakers, as most of the signs around the village are only in deutch, and many employees doesn't speak English.

Hi
Holidays booked at Huttenheugte and Eemhoff on basis that could be cancelled at -22 days for full refund of deposit.
We now need to cancel as Netherlands Government will not allow us Brits in.
Email addresses do not exist.
Expensive telephone number either fails, is picked up and then put down (charge incurred) or simply rings and rings.
Not good enough CenterParcs - why not have a central email address so as you can deal with things in your own time ?
Any suggestions for next action ?
Thanks
Richard

Had a brilliant stay here, beautiful scenery, lots of activities great parks and my little one loved the petting zoo. The pool was fab and great for the kids. Had a refurbished cottage which was outstanding, enjoyed the jacuzzi bath and sauna and the rooms had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Check in was easy and the bikes were a great way to get around the park, paid to do the pony activities and the jeep cars both of which were fantastic, kids loved the disco and puppet shows and the kids club was great, the staff at the kids club were welcoming and kind. Thanks for a great stay would love to come again

there have been untimely power outages for two days...

The situation is truly unacceptable in a center parc.
the fridge is full of food this week! Should we throw everything away? Will Center Parcs Huttenheugte remburse us for our shopping? Make a gesture of goodwill? I hope so in any case. The stay was going absolutely well but these events ruined everything. Yesterday before leaving for Aqua Mundo at 3 p.m. there was already no power. we reassured ourselves by saying that to save energy it was cut off during the day and when we returned still nothing 2h30 later

I was shocked... cabins, interior - well everything is dated 1970 :-) not really the quality you expect for this kind of money...

The weekend was good with family but next I won't be staying in a retro 1970 family park and book something up to date.

Always amazes me when they give bad reviews for basic accommodation at centre parks Europe. Unless you have paid for vip, the basic confort is what it is! A base, a place to lay your head that's all! Lots to do, house of games, aqua Mundo, clubs for kids, entertainment, beach, play areas, mini golf, cycling and get out and explore the amazing cycle tracks that surround it.

Staff friendly, food at Nonnas nice, good child friendly atmosphere.

We've been to nearly all in the Netherlands and this is the most northerly of them all so more Danish and German families here rather than French and Belgian. Lovely to hear all he different languages.

Poor quality accommodation and entertainment, the pool is the only thing worth mentioning. I would also expect to have free wifi and not have to pay 25 euros for 1 devise for 7 days.
I would not recommend this park, as the whole park need a serous update.

It is diffently not the MONEY worth.

A dirty Apartment is not child friendly !!!
