Not really impressed, entertainment was oughtfull, everywhere could do with a good clean, bed linen not changed all week, pool side tiles filthy dirty. But on the positive food in the restaurant on the hole was very good. Going back to the entertainment, seeing we were in the middle of nowhere I would have thought they would try to keep their guests entertained. To sum up not the worst hotel I've stayed in but definitely won't be coming back .

This hotel is lovely and we will return, I really don’t understand the negative reviews. On check in we were upgraded to a master suite which was amazing with a Mountain View balcony and a sea view from the dining area and bedroom. Decent range of all inclusive drinks, pool bar open from 10am until 6pm then another open from 3.30pm. All staff were friendly, professional, helpful and always smiling from the bar staff, receptionists and the cleaners. The entertainment was run by the lovely Minerva, daytime activities included water aerobics, darts and yoga. Evening entertainment was musical bingo, quizzes and karaoke, we did have a laugh and we met some lovely people. There was always a good selection of food, we never experienced cold food, the chefs were very good. The town is a 15 minutes walk and there is a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Yes it is windy, but that was to be expected, it was no more windier than what we have experienced at home. It was really good to watch all the wind surfers doing an amazing job whilst I was sipping a cocktail in the bar. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport and yes you do see Airplanes but we really didn’t mind. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we will return.

Each to their own .. We were a little worried when we read the reviews of this hotel. Honestly nothing to worry about. Arrival and check-in were fast and professional. We asked for a room higher up and that's exactly what we were given. On the 3rd floor overlooking the sea. Lovely big room. Plenty of storage. Nice and clean and very well presented . Balcony was big and sheltered from the breeze . There were no sunbed wars .. we never struggled and we were in fact able to follow the sun round swapping sunbeds easily. We found the food was pretty standard to good for all Inclusive . Loads of choice and we never had trouble finding anything to eat. All inclusive drinks were also standard as were the cocktails. We enjoyed them. At the pool bay you need to pay a euro for a plastic cup for all of you're stay.. this is given back when you hand the cup back in. The town is an easy 15 minutes walk from the hotel and is very pretty. There is a beach along there . The beach near the hotel is sand but rocky when you go in so water shoes will be a help to you. All in all we felt that we got our money's worth .. it is the right price bracket for services .. Enjoy yourselves

We returned from this hotel last week. It was in a nice quite area, within a short stroll to the beach. However the hotel itself was pants. There was: Cold food, there is a microwave to heat it up! Paying for ice creams, slush, crisps etc. Afternoon snacks, a tray with curled up bread with cheese and ham. Work going on in the building. There are dirty seats and tables in the dining area and the whole hotel could do with some good cleaning. Beds not made daily. Being told to leave sun beds after spending 5 hours on them. Apparently this is for people with mobility issues, which is fair enough, however there are no visible signs to point this out. Very poor entertainment. Everything closes at 11 pm. Interior bar doesn’t open until 3pm. The spa pool had tiles coming away. Some of the spa facilities were not working and the whole area could do with a complete makeover. Our room have electric fittings coming away from the wall. I did speak to the rep for Jet2 but was told that the sandwiches were a snack and what do I expect. He also said that the Spanish only like their food warm and this why it wasn’t hot and the hotel provided the microwave for us to heat it up. I advised him that the hotel was full of guests of all nationalities and I would guess that most of these people would prefer their food hot. He did get the electrics fixed immediately. The sea view is fab if your not sitting down as it obscured by frosted glass. The saving grace was that there are some really good restaurants with in a 10 minute walk. We ended up eating out a lot. Oh and finally be careful what room you book as some of them have twin beds. This is the worst hotel my Husband and I have ever stayed in.

Good and bad points - lovely views across the sea. Heated pool. Loads of sunbeds. The rooms are great. We had a full suite which was amazing. 🤩 very close to airport. 10 minute taxi transfer! However - it’s NOT fully all inclusive- you have to pay for premium drinks. You are not allowed a gin and tonic in a gin glass! Bizarre rules. The bar only opens at 4pm. There are a few sandwiches provided which have curled up edges. Not all inclusive. Entertainment is poor. Just tacky and disorganised by one woman. Snack pool bar is just odd. You have to pay 1 euro for a plastic cup and then use that all holiday. Ice creams etc are not free. All the snacks at the pool bar are not free. Pool has strict opening times. Food is poor. Mainly because it’s repetitive. We only stayed 5 nights but by night 3 it was soul destroying. Supermarket next door was very limited. El Medano is not like a holiday resort. It’s built up and just for surfers. Quiet but dull. We wanted a quiet holiday - but we wanted full all inclusive - other people were complaining about this. This is poor and just a weird place with big hanging shells. The heated pool made life bearable there! It also attracts older couples and generally older people- that’s fine but it means the atmosphere is different. Thankfully no big loud groups! It was just a ‘weird’ place! Cant fully explain why - but you’ll know what I mean if you go…..

We stayed for a week at Easter, on an all inclusive EasyJet holiday. We took a private transfer from the airport and it was a 15 minute drive. Because it’s so close to the airport you can see / hear planes going over the hotel, but that didn’t disturb us. Lovely spot right by the sea. The rooms were nice. We had a ‘junior suite’ which had a sitting area (with a wee fridge) and a balcony with a lovely sea view. Nice bathroom. Housekeeping came in every day to make the beds and replace the towels. The interior of the hotel and pool area are really nice, and kept very clean by the housekeeping team. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a smallish (salt water, well heated) pool and lots of chairs and sun loungers (the pool area borders the sea and has a great view). You can pick up pool towels from the spa (no charge: you get a card when you check in, hand it over for a towel, get it back when you return the towel, then hand the card back when you check out). The indoor spa costs €15 for two hours. My husband used it and loved it. There is not much around the hotel, but it’s about a 15 minute walk into El Medano, which is a small town with bars etc, and a general (a bit tacky) market on Saturday and a vegetable market on Wednesday. There are some nice sea view bars along the beachfront. Lots of windsurfers. There is a handy mini supermarket right next to the hotel, and an ATM (€5 charge, cheaper than the €7 we were charged at a bank in town). The hotel was quiet the week we were there. Mostly older couples. If you like things a bit livelier this is not for you. If you just want to chill and not fussy about your food (see below) then it’s fine. The hot food was a bit uninspiring, to be honest. I think that’s generally true of all inclusive holidays, but I’ve definitely had better. I’m a veggie, but the omni selection didn’t look much better. Lots of nice salads / bread / crackers / cheese though. Breakfast was definitely the best of the day. There are two restaurants a five minute walk from the hotel (a pizza place called Ab Origine and a sort of Italian called Punta de Lobos). We tried them both once each and they were great (and a relief to get away from the hotel all inclusive menu). There is a hotel pool bar open during the day (you need to pay a €1 deposit for a plastic glass and it needs to be in cash). The bar inside opens late afternoon. The ‘local’ drinks are a bit dire and watery. Branded drinks are extra but not too expensive (about €5) and generous pours. The hotel does also have an a la carte seafood restaurant where I think guests get a discount, but we didn’t go there. I joined the seafront yoga sessions in the mornings (with Minerva), which were great. She also ran the entertainment programme over the day - things like boules / aqua aerobics / water polo - and entertainment in the evening like quizzes / bingo / karaoke. We joined for the quiz and bingo, which were good fun. Some nights there was music in the lobby bar (piano, sax). There is a car hire desk in the lobby, and we hired a car (€80 for a Fiat Panda) for a day to explore a bit of the island (La Laguna, Teide). We also went on a dolphin / whale watching boat trip which we booked at the hotel reception (€58 each, cash only, included a hotel pick up and drinks and lunch). Our flight home was not till 8pm, but the hotel was able to accommodate a late check out (5pm instead of noon, €35), which was great, and we could still use all the hotel facilities.

Not a 4* Hotel. Under staffed for sure however the ones working were fairly polite. The room was spacious and appeared clean at first sight but after a good rest in a comfortable bed I noticed the dust in the furniture and the dirty tiles in the shower. Sink was cracked and a hole on the wall just under hairdryer. The bed sheets were not changed all my staying, the shower and sink not clean in the 5 days. Food was cold and not cooked properly and very cheap choices. Desserts better not to talk about. The dinning chairs are dirty as material stained. Night entertainment you will be listening to it willing or not. I never have been in a Hotel where sheets are not changed at all. The cleaner would coming and mop the floor 5 minutes maximum in our room. The swimming pool area was clean but it's windy, parasols flying around. The Hotel is isolated from any shops and a 20 minutes walking to main town Never again for sure.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The food choices were good and delicious. The staff are hardworking and friendly, however the hotel is SERIOUSLY UNDERSTAFFED!! The dining chairs had fabric backs which were filthy, which was offputting each mealtime. There were plenty of sunbeds but the canvas on many of them was dirty and in need of repair. All in all we had a disappointing stay , come on Jet2 you are better than this.
