Very nicely maintained hotel. We’ve stayed in 3 hotels in the Atlantica chain and so far all seem of a good consistent standard

Location is nice, there is lots of vegetation around the hotel so doesn’t feel like your typical resort but is close to the main road which is served by regular buses to Chania. There are a few shops and businesses nearby but most were closed as it was end of the season

Communal areas in the hotel very good and well maintained and WiFi all throughout the hotel

Pool areas clean and tidy, very handy that you could serve yourself to beers and soft drinks at the pool bar to save queuing. Pool area was served by a snack bar which seemed to replenish the food regularly (only used it once as we missed lunch on the first day)

Overall the all inclusive food was of good quality with various themed nights throughout the week. I was impressed that even with low occupancy in the last week of the season the hotel would still replenish the food regularly. One meal in the “Taverna” was included per stay, again the food was very good with lovely grilled meals and tapas style starters

The all inclusive drinks were decent enough too

Staff generally were friendly and helpful

Entertainment was good with live music, Greek dancers one night and productions by the TUI Blue animation team. The professionalism and enthusiasm of these guys was top drawer

Kids Club run by TUI was a hit and also there were various other activities put on during the day

Gym had to be booked. It had a few exercise and strength training machines. I got the impression some equipment was removed for ease of cleaning as this was done in between every use

Room was good quality and cleaned every second day. Very nice comfortable and firm beds (the 2 previous Atlantica hotels we’d stayed in had awful beds). Kettle in the room. Free safe. Fridge, TV, hairdryer etc but no toiletries or vanity products like shower cap etc - only a liquid soap dispenser in the bathroom and shower

Balcony had nice views of the surrounding vegetation and visited by the odd friendly cat or two

Beach was wide and sandy but became stoney at the water edge. Sea got deep very quickly so not really suitable for padding or young children

Overall had a great stay and as other reviewers state it’s a good solid all round hotel

With the corona pandemic causing so many travel problems, we had serious reservations about going ahead with the holiday. I’m so glad we did though. This resort really is 5 star and proved to be the refreshing tonic we needed. The resort has handled the pandemic with excellence, we felt safe at all times. There was hand sanitizer everywhere and the staff wear masks and PPE at all times. The resort is kept immaculate and the staff are diligent in their cleaning duties and are not shy to remind those that try to flout the safe distance rules. Typical Brits would move the sun beds to fill gaps near the pool and staff would tell them to move them back to 2 meters Safe distance spacing. Our room was gleaming, the bed extremely comfortable and I can’t recommend the swim up pool option enough. The staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you, the TUI reps are incredibly helpful and check on you daily. There was a live show every evening at 9pm. The local town of Gerani has lots of shops and eateries and make sure you squeeze in a trip to Chania (20 euros each way in a taxi) it’s a wonderful town rammed with shops and things to see and the sunset in the harbour is exquisite. The one and only down-tick I can give is the beach. It’s quite stoney and not suitable for flip flops!.. take a sturdy pair of beach shoes. This was a fantastic holiday, much needed in these difficult pandemic times.

I travelled to this hotel on 10th August as a single parent with two children. I felt nervous but a wonderful member of the team showed us right to our room.
We were upgraded from a double swim up room to a family swim up room for free, which was a wonderful treat. The swim up pool was amazing, warm, and lit up with multicolour LED lights on a night. There were two sun loungers and a table with 4 chairs. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfy, the bed sheets were out of this world, silky and like sleeping in a cloud.

The food was plenty, and the different themed nights were brilliant. My children loved how the different foods related to different countries. If you didn’t fancy a buffet, you could also go to the all inclusive snack bar where they served hot and cold foods, ice cream, drinks and delicious gyros. The staff were always prompt to clear away dishes, and strict measures of hand sanitising, temperature checks, and glove wearing was in place to keep everyone safe.
The staff were always polite and welcoming, nothing was too much.

The hotel was very quiet, presumably as a result of the pandemic and disruption to travel, but this made our experience more pleasant, as we never had to get up early for a sun-bed. The main pool was lovely, and the pool in the caldera next door was also great, although a little colder.

The beach had a beautiful sunset, plenty of free sun-beds, but be warned, you will need beach shoes or slip on shoes, the sand is abrasive and of course hot. The water was very calm on our first day but as my children said, it was like a mini tsunami on the other days. We expected this, being north of the island, but if you want a holiday were you can swim in the sea, then you should we aware of this.

The kids club was brilliant, we didn’t use it much but when we did, my children really enjoyed it. We wished we used it more.

The TUI team were absolutely outstanding. There was no music on our first few nights due to a mini lockdown, but by Friday the music was back, the entertainment team were phenomenal! The audience pleaded for more! An absolutely unforgettable team. Always available, smiling, inclusive. I have been on holidays before where you have to actively seek out the rep, but no, not here, there is ALWAYS somebody around.

There is also a small supermarket across the road that sells everything that you might have forgotten. Pool floats, goggles, towels, batteries, food, suncream, everything.

Just a few negatives, one being that there were a lot of little ants. I’m not sure whether this is common, but just something to be aware of if this is something that would bother you. There were a few other small things like not everything being open, but with the pandemic this was not the hotels fault, and pre-covid wouldn’t have been an issue. It didn’t affect our brilliant holiday.

Overall, a truly outstanding hotel, brilliant staff, and if you are thinking of going, be aware that 7 days is not long enough! You will not want to leave.

Thank you for providing such a wonderful holiday and memories that we will never forget!

We booked last minute to stay at this hotel after our original holiday to Cyprus got cancelled.

Pros
Lovely location, friendly staff, TUI Blue reps were lovely.
My son loved the entertainment. Especially the acrobats (he's still goinging on now about them).
Sunbeds were sanitised each evening and tagged ready for the next day.
Welcome pack in the room with sanitisers, gloves and masks.
Rooms were clean and tidy.
We were given a swim up room with a beautiful view of the pool and sea.
Couldn't complain about the food. Nice selection most nights.
Food in the Taverna restaurant was beautiful.
Suned spaced out nicely.

Cons
Rooms were tired and in need of some tlc.
Sunbeds should have been sanitised half way through they day as a few times we had been out and couldn't use a sunbed because they weren't re-sanitised and the hotel wouldn't swap them with the ones which were sanitised and sticked up down the side.
Shame the sister hotel was closed along with the pool but can understand why.
Spa treatments were reasonably priced. My son loved his chocolate massage.
Could have done with another bar open as the distance to and from the entertainment wasn't great.
Onside shop, and snack bar weren't open.

Overall it was a shame the hotel closed half way through our 2 week holiday.

We booked last minute with another family, departed middle of August 20, there were 4 adults and 5 kids in total. We all had a fantastic week away. Despite concerns about travelling during a pandemic the hotel which was immaculately clean and the staff helped put us at ease. As a family of 5 with 3 children I booked 2 family rooms and wrote in advance to request that our rooms be next door and was extremely pleased to be upgraded and next door to our friends. The hotel was quiet but plenty going on to keep the kids busy and staff worked incredibly hard to maintain a fun programme. The food which was expectedly limited due to lower number of guests was delicious and service was great. The only (minor) issue was that our room was located across a small road and away from the one open pool bar so getting drinks was a bit of an effort but we managed to adapt a bathroom child’s step into a tray and problem solved! We ate out twice once in Gerani and Platanias, also travelled to the water park via the little train that departed near to the hotel, it was great to head out and experience Crete, also important to support local businesses.

We have just returned from fourteen nights as a family of three adults with two children aged fourteen and eight. The first day was spent round the quieter pool but after that we migrated over to the activity pool which was never overly busy. We had the children booked in for swimming lessons which they really enjoyed. The hotel is on the beach which again was very quiet so never a problem finding a sun lounger. Rooms are clean and we had maid service every other day. The main restaurant had a good variety of food and due to covid you have to wear your mask while walking around and as its self service you are required to wear disposable gloves when handling plates etc.Now for us the important part of any holiday is the staff and entertainment team which we all agreed were excellent. From the daily games and activities up to the night shows they were constantly cheerful and entertaining. They soon got to know the children's names and were always encouraging them to join in. Special mentions goes to (excuse the bad spelling) Paulo, Ellie, Elin, Mathilda, Dabora, Eda, Marta and Elsa some of whom let the children push them in the pool on their last day. Also a mention to the lovely lady he cleared our plates etc away at the snack bar during the day who was helping us learn some words in Greek each day. Overall an excellent holiday and would highly recommend people to visit.

We just got back home after a fantastic week at Creta Paradise. We travelled with our 6-year old daughter.

We had chosen the all-inclusive option. Overall the food was good, with a large selection of "safe" dishes that should satisfy even the pickiest children. The evening buffet was good and quite varied, with a different theme most evenings. For lunch we usually went for the excellent freshly prepared gyros in the snack bar next to the pool, highly recommended! There was also pizza, hotdogs, various sweets, ice cream etc during the whole day.

The entertainment was top class. We didn't really know what to expect and were completely blown away by the show "A night at the musicals" the first evening. After that we attended as much as we could of the various shows and games. The only "problem" was that there was more on offer than we could manage to attend with a 6-year old. We never figured out how the winner is selected in "Download" but that doesn't matter, it's simply hilarious. Our daughter loved "Step up and move" where she got to perform a dance on the big stage in the evening.

The hotel itself (rooms, pools, toilets etc) is in good condition, and is kept very clean. We stayed in the part a little further from the beach, which was very calm and quiet.

The Wifi worked perfectly during the whole week, and was fast and stable enough to watch Netflix just fine.

We are already looking forward to our next visit in the summer of 2023!

Recently returned from a weeks stay at Atlantica Creta Paradise with my family. I was really impressed with the staff including receptionists Doro ,Dimitris, Alice and Nikos. They were always happy to help and had a smile on their faces. All the Tui reps were so nice and took time to say hello and speak to everyone.
The entertainment from the reps was also very good and different every night.
We had a sea view room and the main part of the room was modern and in a perfect location near the pools and bar. A little noisy at night but seemed to go quiet around 12.
The one downside about the room was the bathroom, unfortunately this was a bit dated and not maintained very well at all. We had to complain as the shower head was broken but this was fixed in 10 minutes of asking no problem.
The bathroom needs to be updated as this was not very good for a 4 star.
The pools were great and everywhere was always kept clean. The cleaners came every day and made sure you had fresh towels and cleaned the floors.
They have a great games room with a pool table, air hockey and arcade machines that you can actually win prizes from.
The food options were great and we loved the option to have one night in the Italian restaurant that was a bit more laid back and personal instead of the chaos at the buffet. The staff running the buffet were also very good, always made sure tables were clean and ready as quick as possible. They were very polite and helpful.
Only negatives I have with regards to the all inclusive is the lack of different wine and beer options. You only have local beer or wine. The white wine and the beer were ok but the red wine and rosé were not.
Good choice of cocktails but not a great choice of Mocktails. Also no mojitos on the all inclusive this was disappointing.
Big shout out to all the bar staff they were amazing and made drinks quick and with a smile.
I would definitely return to this place if my daughter was a bit younger but would say that at 11 now it would be a bit too childish for her in the kids clubs. More suitable for younger children.
Very nice place and would recommend it.

The hotel offered nice accommodation with swim up rooms and services for our travelling group of two moms with four girls aged between 14 and 10. We were enjoying balanced all inclusive food menu, clean rooms and feeling that we were warmly welcomed to Crete and to hotel. We stayed 14 days July-August 2021 and had safe feeling concerning all the C-19 guidelines and activities made by hotel and its qualified staff.

The highlight of the vacation for adults was amazing gym instructor Deborah van der Donk, who really had the right attitude towards her job, she had beautiful smile in early yoga classes likewise during hot and swetty afternoon exercises. Additionally she is really professional with variation of different classes, no matter that we were participating every of them there was always new workout like true professionals typically has to provide. Hats off, she really knows what she is doing!

I booked this last minute holiday as a rest-bite before hospital treatment started. Knowing it was a family resort, I'd requested a private pool so we could have some peace and quiet when we wanted it. When we arrived at our room there was a shared pool, I went to reception to explain...expecting a debate....where I was met by the most amazingly helpful staff I've ever come across in my years of holidaying. We were moved to a bungalow with a private pool however still close enough to be a part of the complex.
We missed dinner on evening so reception suggested Filosofos just a couple of hundred feet up the road, where the food was amazing.
The hotel was spotlessly clean, everyday, we were given beach towels to use (which could be changed twice in 7 days), the food was great - Breakfast/lunch and dinner was buffet style in the main restaurant where you were spoilt for choice. We had dinner one evening in the Travena on site restaurant too; I've never had a meal with such an amazing view.
The staff Dora, Dimitris, Olga, Alice and Nikos really couldn't be more helpful, polite and friendly. Dimitris helped to sort our room issue out.
I'd also like to thank the staff as mentioned above for making our holiday, one we'll never forget.

Dear Amanda and Michael, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear that you had a well-needed break and that your stay with us exceeded your expectations. We apologize for the initial mix-up with the pool arrangements, but we are thrilled that our staff could quickly resolve the issue and provide you with a bungalow that met your requirements. Our team is committed to ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and we are pleased to know that they were able to assist you so effectively. It's fantastic to hear that you enjoyed the delicious food in our main restaurant and also had a memorable dining experience at Travena, accompanied by an amazing view. We take pride in offering a variety of dining options to cater to different tastes. Our housekeeping team works diligently to maintain a spotlessly clean environment, and we are glad that you found our hotel to be clean and well-maintained throughout your stay. We will pass on your kind words to Dora, Dimitris, Olga, Alice, Nikos, and the rest of our team. They will be thrilled to know that they played a significant role in making your holiday unforgettable. Their dedication to providing exceptional service is greatly appreciated. Thank you once again for choosing to stay with us and for your heartfelt review. We hope that your holiday with us provided you with the much-needed rest and relaxation before your hospital treatment. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you back in the future for another enjoyable stay. Best regards, Manousos Psaroudakis, General Manager

Some of the private pools are small the others that are for a few rooms are quite a bit larger from what I could see. Last week the spa was only doing massages and hair, you also had to pay cash too, up front. It is seperatly run from the hotel.
