Tremendous family holiday and we would have no hesitation recommending or returning for another stay. Don't listen to the negative comments, we experienced nothing but excellent service and first-class hospitality. The hotel is close to the airport, with a short transfer available. The resort has everything you could ever need and is amazing for families. We visited the beach which is a sort walk away. a must-visit if you can. Walking down to the small town is also a must and we found the restaurants nearby to be great value. Keep it up 3HB.... we hope to be back some day!

Great all inclsuive hotel. Spotlessly clean, lovely facilities and great food. Big thanks to Alex and Jessica the reception managers who made sure I was looked after when I had to quarantine with Covid in June 2022.

We enjoyed our 2 weeks' stay at this family hotel as a couple. Reception had done a great job with all items i requested were placed in our room before arrival. We paid for a pool view's room and was kept very clean during our stay. The complimentary use of the spa facilities and indoor heated pool were great. Excellent buffet breakfast and above average buffet dinner. Desserts were catering supplies. Both a la carte Asian and Mediterrean restaurants were poor. Music played at the open area in evenings were generally good exvept the beach theme disco music. It was too loud for pre-dinner drinks and seemed to entertain the DJ (staff?) herself. Evening entertainment was a hit and miss but the ABBA tribute was a disaster. Sadly, she could not sing. Drinks were very good. Guests at all ages including little ones eemed having a good time. We never saw a hotel with the majority of guests stayed up that late. Will we return? Definitely yes but not during school holidays.

Really pleasantly surprised by this hotel, check in was good, room was good, shame about the pillows! Most of the staff were great, some of the restaurant staff could have tried harder. The food was possibly the best all inclusive we have had. Oriental restaurant was poor in our eyes. The hotel was always very clean. Entertainment was a mixed bag. The shows put on by the entertainment teams were poor, the Abba tribute night was appalling. The fence on the walkway to the child's play area was falling down and dangerous. The biggest problem was the outside pools, far too cold even for our kids, for a family hotel, it should be heated to a certain level. Inside pool was ok but stuck in a dingy basement. Overall, great stay but we wouldn't return due to the pools, such a bit part of a holiday like this and when they cant be used, its a real shame.

Four of us went their during October half term with a 4 & a 10yr old. The room has clean and comfortable with breathtaking view of the poolside and the ocean. The food was amazing - plenty of options to choose from ( veg or non veg) and the taste of food and drinks was incredible! The staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment was amazing too. Kids had mini disco every night at 8 followed by some shows or dance party or some performance. Promixity to lots of shops, restruants and sight seeing places. All in all our best experience of staying in a hotel in europe the past 13 yrs! It exceeded our expectation in every way. It was an incredible value of money stay - Highly recommended. I don't mind going there gain in the future.

We stopped at 3hb guarana at the beginning of October. This was our first visit and it won't be our last. The hotel is very well run. Credit to all the staff especially emmile on the reception and many of the staff in the main buffet restaurant. There is plenty of choice of food and plenty of variety each day. The food is of the highest quality and extremely well presented. Also there are two other restaurants which need to be booked, although we didn't visit. There are two nice swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds..The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms and decor are of a high standard.Good entertainment day and night. There are two beautiful beaches within a five minute walk from the hotel. Olhos de agua is a peaceful resort and not commercialised. Still very portuguese. Would highly recommend this hotel. The only advice I would give to the management is to keep things the same as the hotel is excellent. Andrew and Julie Nottingham

Hotel was lovely, staff were all super friendly and helpful. We would definitely return. It is ideal for a family holiday, we visited with our 7 & 2 year old & there was lots to keep them entertained. The candy floss & popcorn carts on 2 of the evenings were a lovely addition. Lots of choice in the restaurant & something for everyone. We did eat out several times - that wasn’t a reflection on the choice but that is down to our preferences. The only negatives were the pillows & the coffee - whichever we selected tasted like hot chocolate. May be an idea to have separate machines for the hot chocolate to the coffee to avoid this. Location was ideal, a short walk down the hill to a few restaurants & bars. Not too much further to the beach front - which was fine with the buggy (no steps). We visited Aquamarine on 2 days and would highly recommend.

We stayed here for one week and have so much to say, so will break it down into sections, as each section deserves a different score. Facilities - 4/5 the bedroom was a fine size with all you would expect. The balcony was an added bonus. However, I could not score a 5/5 as the pillows were some of the worst hotel pillows I have ever slept on. Normally you associate hotel pillows as being super good, but not here. It affected my sleep, as I found it hard to get comfortable. I even asked for extra pillows at reception, but this was not big help. The bath takes an age to fill, but the shower is good. Food 4/5 - on the whole, the buffet food was very good. I loved that they rotated some of the items each day, so that you could have something different each day. Good rane of meats/fish/salads/soups. However.....we booked this place as it advertised having different themed restaurants. Oriental and Italian to go along with the main buffet hall. However, we inquired about booking a table for these, as soon as we arrived, we were told that we could only book the oriental restaurant on one of our 7 days as "it was fully booked." We asked how could we have booked for more than one day, but told that people already here had already booked all the remaining slots up. On the one night we did have, I heard another customer ask to book a table at the restaurant itself, but told that it was fully booked. He also stated that he had just arrived that day, therefore how could he book? I find it bizarre that there isn't a better system in place that allows guest, no matter what day/time they check into the hotel, that allows all guests equal access to the different restaurants. I am assuming that some guests could book multiple nights, therefore not allowing other guests any opportunities to eat in these different restaurants. On the one night we ate in the oriental restaurant, which had exceptional food, we chose to sit outside (inside seating was 90% full) because of our neurodiverse daughter. There was only one other family sat outside the oriental restaurant which must have had another 15-20 tables around us for 2-4 people. So feel they could have increased their capacity of guests allowed in to allow more guests the opportunity to eat here. Kids club/hospitality - 2/5. This is where the hotel fell down. We came with 2 children. The kids club timetable looked to have a good variety of activities. However, the effort of the staff and duration of these activities were poor. Each member for staff that we came across in the kids club for arts and crafts activities did not engage with our children apart from giving them materials (very cheap at that, such as a toilet roll and toilet paper) with little explanation of how to create the desired art tasks. For example, a mummy and a witch. Our children were literally given the materials and then told. Make a mummy or make a witch. No step by step instructions. Some parents chose to leave their children here to them collect later. I am glad I stayed, as our children were bored after 3 minutes. The mini crazy games which took place by the pool, were very poor and again, lasted 5 minutes (such as throwing table tennis balls into a hat). If staff were properly trained, this could have been such a great resource to parents. But the effort was very low by staff who were more interested in talking to each other than talking to the children. Then at the buffet restaurant, the host who asked for your room number, never broke a smile and spoke with 0 enthusiasm. The staff cleaning the tables were very good. Very efficient and were polite. The ladies at reception too, were not the smilest or very helpful when I asked about wanting to book for the oriental restaurant. And didn't seem to show much care for my situation of just arriving and not being able to book more than once. There is a snack bar offering pizza, chios, burgers, hot dogs from 12-7pm every day so kids could always get access to food if hungry. Drinks 5/5 - on the whole this was very good. Drinks available for most of the day. Cocktails, mind you are mixed by a machine, not by person, which was a shame, as there were generally not queues to get drinks. Bar staff by the pool were friendly though. Swimming pools 4/5 - the kids loved them. The pool temperature was cold! Outdoor pool was 19oC. Indoor 28oC. So indoor was fine, outdoor, we could only stay in the water for 10-15 minutes before the kids got too cold. Entertainment - 3/5. There is a kids mini disco each night at 8. But each night is the same songs. Good for the kids to learn I guess, but repetitive. Then from 9-11 there is music playing. I think a live person signing covers. However, we could hear this all night long (until 11) in our room on the 4th floor. So kept us and the kids up later than we wanted EVERY NIGHT! So along with the bad pillows, did not wake up feeling very refreshed. Summary - a lovely hotel, with a lot of potential. However, fell short with enthusiasm and engagement of the staff running the kids club and the host to the buffet restaurant. Good amount of food and drinks available through most of the day.

Great hotel with everything you need. This hotel is mainly aimed for families and I would advise if you’re a couple/friends it may not be what you’re after. Although saying that the hotel is close to local amenities including restaurants bars and the beaches. The outdoor pools were great (cold but October) and the indoor pool was a blessing especially with our son who has autism and really enjoyed his daily visits. The staff were generally great with the kids and the entertainment team were good and always humouring the adults and kids. The food was one of the highest quality in an all inclusive I have experienced great choice every day at all meals and the drink choices were great. Only cons were the main bar/entertainment felt a bit old, dark dingy not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The sports bar looked really good but didn’t really get to visit. The coffee machines coffee was terrible (sorry but it was) please get tea pots with tea bags and have cold milk ready and ensure the machines/cups are well maintained re stocked. The gym (yes it’s a hotel gym) was barely a gym I mean it was really generous calling it that. That’s all I can moan about then it was a great holiday thanks to all the team again :) Colemans 2006

Just come back from a lovely week here staff were really helpful and friendly, food variety and quality was excellent for an all inclusive. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pools were between 23 and 20 degrees (they have 3 pools and it varied depending on the day) they write it on the signs by the pool but unfortunately even with a wet suit on my 18 month old found it abit too cold. Sunbeds are comfortable enough I just prefer ones with cushions but given the amount of rain they can have and how many kids stay i understand why they are just the netted type. The entertainment team were very good at including everyone without being hasseling over the activities and the facilities for kids (kids club, playground, games room etc) were very good. You can still use the kids club if your child is under 4 but you have to stay with them which for us was fine. In the restaurant no matter what time you go there is always full avaliablity of food and if something isnt out they are more than happy to grab it for you. We made use of the picnic for the journey home and were greatful of the sandwich, cake, fruit and drink (given at no extra cost just requires a preorder.) I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future and would recommend to anyone with children. The hotel is located roughly 10 min walk from the beach and a 10 to 15min taxi ride from Albuferia.
