Our 4th visit over the years but our first in Wheal Busy. Top quality facilities and wonderful hospitality from Liz and Nick as always. The fact visitors return time and time again is tantamount to how good Callestock is. Beautiful.

We booked Wheal Busy Cottage at Callestock Courtyard, on the recommendation of a colleague who had visited. Our cottage was very well appointed, immaculately presented and we had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Located by the entrance of a working farm, you get the peace and quiet of the countryside whilst being so well positioned for Newquay, Truro, Bodmin, Falmouth etc. We had very enjoyable days out, mainly exploring the Cornish coast. Our National Trust membership came in very useful for parking at Holywell, Godrevy etc. We chose to self cater for meals, using supermarkets in Truro and Newquay when we were passing. There are also a range of farmshops in the area selling great produce. We won't hesitate to return. Liz and Nick are incredible hosts who have thought of everything!

We have been visiting Callestock Courtyard for 20 years and this is because this is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday. The properties are all of a very high standard and are located with easy access to reach all parts of Cornwall. Liz and Nick, as hosts, are delightful in making sure that everything is catered for and have lots of recommendations of places to visit and eat. The farm is also a credit to all the hard work that has gone into establishing the herd and we have learned so much about farming and animal husbandry over the years. When you sit down in the evening, watch the sun go down, looking out over the beautiful countryside and appreciate the peace of this, you realise that this is a very special part of the world.

We have just returned from a week at Callestock, our third visit but first with kids and staying in Orchard Cottage. This really is a great location and the accommodation is a high standard and very clean. The kids loved being on the farm and especially going to visit the “baby cows” and tractors! Thank you Liz, Nick and Ben for making everyone feel welcome as you always do, but this time including the little ones. I’m sure we will be back if you’ll allow us to shatter the peace again!!

My wife and I stayed at little Callestock farm in July 2023 and had a wonderful time. The hosts Liz and Nick were so friendly and welcoming that we felt right at home straight away. The cottage was lovely, very homely, very clean and furnished to a high standard. We were interested in the dairy herd and were so pleasantly surprised when Liz gave up most of her morning to introduce us to the herd and to show us around the farm. From a tourist point of view the cottages located within easy access to many favoured tourist spots. And, of course, we can’t leave a review without mentioning the very tasty home made cream tea on arrival. We would heartily recommend the cottages and will be back there soon ourselves.

This was our second summer at Callestock, this time in Wheal Jane, and it was again exceptional. The accommodation is faultless - super clean, beautifully decorated and with an air of luxury, but homely too. Somehow you feel cared for in these cottages. Perhaps it's the cream tea on arrival. The courtyard is so peaceful that it is the perfect place for restoration. As a base for exploring Cornwall Callestock is also ideal - easy access to local farm shops and supermarkets for self-catering, 10 minutes to the coast, right on the major road networks if you want to go out to houses, gardens, towns, villages or other parts of the coast. Liz and Nick are efficiently but unobtrusively on hand for queries and their commitment to their guests is complete. A tranquil, relaxing, beautiful holiday!
