Vasili and his family run an adorable holiday apartment complex which is perfect for a fun and comfortable holiday. The paradise studios offers stunning views of the ocean and has a large and clean pool. It is situated a short 20 minute walk or €5 taxi for the local town so you have guaranteed peace and quite at night but aren’t too far from the restaurants and nightlife if that is what you’re looking for. Vasili offers a personal experience and is available to help make your holiday the best it can be at all times. The entire family who staff the apartments are kind and quick to help in any way they can. They also run a restaurant in the middle of the complex where residents can sample local cuisines and beverages. During our stay each night the residents would gather round and have a few drinks together, it was an incredible wholesome environment. I cannot recommend this destination enough.

I booked here last minute with Jet2, not knowing what I as getting, and I’m glad I went! When I arrived I was greeted by Vasilis, whose family own and run Marianthi Paradise. He’s lovely, friendly and very helpful, as is Christos and their mother, who is a fantastic cook. As well as English food, they serve traditional Greek food, which is amazing. The Moussaka is the best I’ve ever had! The Souvlaki and Stifado are so tasty, and the chicken and potatoes were beautifully cooked. They also have beer, soft drinks, ice creams etc, so you’re well catered for.

The rooms have everything you need, and the pool area is well kept, with great views of the castle and town. You’re about a 20 minute walk away, or Vasilis or one of the team will happily call you a cab. Molivos itself is a lovely place, with plenty of choice for restaurants and bars - if you like Gyros, make sure you visit Friends.

Thanks for a great stay, Vasilis - I’ll make sure I send you the pictures when I try (and fail) to make Moussaka as good as your Mother!

Returned to marianthi after a few years molivos break , hosts vasillas and Christos are genuine warm and entertaining brothers who run the miraianthi . What adheres us to here is my spouse and I don't feel pressurised and we do our own thing ,walks and chilling at marianthi in afternoon ,always have a glass of vino and a chat at the bar area before heading into town .marianthi is one of a few budget self catering apartments in molivos and believe me vasillas and Christos are the most friendly, even quirky and funny humoured which I appreciate . The rooms are cleaned and bleach mopped daily, bins emptied not intrusive. We enjoyed our fortnight so much and missed molivos we rebooked for a month next year . Yammas .

I came here for my first holiday alone and had the most amazing time. I felt more a friend than a customer, Vasilis was such a great host.

The accommodation was basic, traditional, but had everything you need. Fridge, 2 cooking rings and kettle with a small flat screen tv, which I didn't use if im honest as I was having such a lovely time. The shower is hand held in a shower tray with no curtain, but the rooms are swept and mopped every day, so the water was soon gone. The air conditioning is an additional cost if you want to use it, but I managed to keep cool leaving the doors and windows open as it can be quite breezy. There was the most amazing view from my room on the back of the apartment block (35) over the farmland and hills.

The food on site was home made by Vasilis' mother and tasted amazing! There were also ice creams and bottled water etc you could buy from there as well as all the usual alcoholic drinks and pop.

The swimming pool area was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds for everyone, including parasols. A net was available to clean out the pool of any leaves / insects etc.

Molyvos itself was about a 15 - 20 minute walk down the road and there were more than enough bars, restaurants and shops to choose from. The supermarket was a 10-15 minute walk away. The castle and cobbled streets are well worth a visit, it's just very steep. There isn't much of a beach in Molyvos, but just down the road, Petra and Anaxos have beautiful beaches with free sunbeds if you buy something to eat or drink from the bar closest to you.

Don't bring high heels with you, as most built up areas in molyvos have cobbled pathways, you would be better wearing flats!

If you love, small, quiet, friendly, traditional places then you will love it here. I felt so safe on my own, even walking into and around the village and back at night. Everyone is so welcoming! I will be back!

We stayed here in a one bedroom apartment. Two balconies on different sides gave us shade/sunshine depending on the time of day.
Amazing views of the sea and Molivos.
The apartment was clean and well equipped, we didn’t cook but there were certainly adequate utensils etc to do so.
Vasilis went out of his way to make sure you were okay, remembered our names and drinks lol
Pool bar prices are very reasonable €2 a glass of wine, €3 500ml beer. You must try the moussaka, hand made by the matriarch and yummy at €7.50.
The walk to town is perfectly doable and a taxi back was €6
All in all a perfect stay…we will return!

Loved this place.
My daughter and I were in need of sun, tonnes of Greek salad, somewhere to wander about and explore, somewhere to relax and read, somewhere value for money. And we hit the jackpot with this place.
Vasilis knew our names within 2 minutes and was on hand for anything. Our room had 2 balconies so we could look at the sheep in the family’s farm behind, the mountains, Dad’s prolific vegetable patch, the sea, the sunset, the village and castle lit up on a night. This is a view I’d never get tired of seeing, especially out on the wooden terrace eating Mum’s homemade food, served by gregarious Vasilis or shy Christos. We even got to see Mrs Vasilis and their very cute son one evening.
If you know Greece, know basic Greek accommodation, understand the economic hardship they’ve been through due to the pandemic then you’ll like it. If you’re expecting Premier Inn type accommodation then you won’t. Our room was very tired, needing a new bathroom and new mattresses. The pool needs new sun beds and parasols. The kitchen facilities are minimal. It’s a shame 2 new little holiday buildings are being built on the land next door.
But Marianthi had everything we needed, was cleaned daily by lovely staff, there was a book exchange, the air con worked as did the hair dryer. It’s a manageable walk or taxis were €6. There are supermarkets that will deliver (not the nearest one, but the one next to the pharmacy and TK’s up in the old town) but Vasilis sells bottles of water singly or in 6 packs to save you carrying them. There are snacks, ice creams, drinks, breakfast/brunch/lunch choices, delicious evening meals, alcohol - and people to chat to if you want to. Plenty of space to park if you hire a car (which we would if there’s a next time 🤞🏻).
With quiet apart from the occasional clanking sheep bell or braying donkey, this is the authentic Greece you’re looking for.

We have just enjoyed a short stay here for four nights with our two year old boy and have had a lovely, relaxing break. Marianthi class themselves as a two star and these are your traditional Greek apartments which we feel reflected the price we paid. The grounds are beautiful with well maintained gardens. Yes, the rooms are dated but we’re comfortable enough - if I could change one thing, it would be to provide a more accessible shower as it was difficult to shower (one handed) and cramped. The apartments offer a little bar offering drinks and snacks and is very reasonably priced. The food was great. The rooms offer beautiful views and are situated next to a farm, (our boy loved the sheep). Visili and family do really make you feel at home and are so friendly and grateful. It is worth noting that these apartments are situated around a 20 minute walk to the centre of Molyvos which plenty people did downhill. We preferred a taxi as we found that the journey was too difficult with a toddler as there aren’t many paths to walk along. Visili will get you a taxi which costs between €7-€9. Overall, we really enjoyed Marianthi as it was so peaceful and relaxing which is what we wanted. Consider pricing an airport transfer as the journey was around two hours on a coach. Thank you Visili and family for a lovely stay. We hope that people who have booked do focus on the positives as there are many. I’m sure we will be back again in the future.

We have just returned from another wonderful holiday staying at the Marianthi Paradise. Vasilis is an excellent welcoming host. His cheerful manner and aim to ensure that every guest has the best of times is genuine. The accommodation is set on a spacious site giving opportunities to quietly chill or mingle with other guests.
Our apartment was roomy, clean and cool with a generous terrace .
There were sufficient sunbeds and parasols around the sizeable pool, which we took advantage of on numerous occasions.
There is a bar and the snacks and meals served were very good.
We are really looking forward to returning there.

The road is not too steep. A gentle slope for most of the way. If you have mobility difficulties then you will have a hard time in Molyvos. The main town is all steep cobbled slopes with some steps.
