We had enjoyed our stay here last September so much that we returned again for another holiday this year, from 29 June to 10 July.

The hotel is a wonderful family run hotel. Every single member of staff is so friendly and makes you feel welcome, even the little puppy Beethoven!

The rooms are basic, but comfortable and kept spotless with daily cleans.
Bedding and towels are changed every few days. The shower cubicle and shower can be a bit difficult, but once you have a method there isn’t a problem!

The sheets and pillow cases are of a high quality and there is plenty of wardrobe space and hangars.

Wifi is a bit unreliable at busy times but you get there eventually.

The views from the room are wonderful, and the breakfasts eaten outside in the peaceful garden by the pool are an enjoyable part of the holiday - as were our late afternoon relaxing and swimming sessions in the pool. What a view from the pool - the magnificent castle of Molyvos perched on top of the hill. The hotel is in an excellent location, a couple of minutes to the pebbly beach & a few restaurants, a 10 minute walk uphill & downhill to the harbour and more restaurants, and a walk up the hill to the pebbly old town. Just beautiful.

I know it isn’t a five star hotel in luxury, but the family-friendly feel due to the lovely staff, the cleanliness and the location of the hotel make it 5 star for us.

A lovely family run hotel with such friendly and helpful staff, in a great location in Molyvos. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean - like the whole hotel. Bedding and towels were changed regularly. Breakfast was a buffet of eggs, cheeses, meat, bread, rusks, tomatoes, olives, cake & yoghurt with honey or jams. Eating it outside in the pretty garden that overlooks both the swimming pool and the castle at the top of the town was a perfect start to the day. The beach is a short walk away, the gorgeous cobbled streets of Molyvos are very near and it’s a lovely 10-minute walk up & down to the harbour. The only (very slight) negatives that we had were that the wifi was intermittent and the balcony was a bit small - but at least we had them, so nothing to really grumble about. Molyvos is a stunning place and I can’t wait to go back.

Please read in full... I have to admit on first arrival after a long day travelling I didn't enjoy dragging the suitcase along the cobbled street from drop-off point and was a little disappointed with our room as it had no balcony although I think I had read not all rooms have one anyway, we very soon relaxed and enjoyed our time there, and got used to having no balcony and adjusted. There was only one socket easily accessible for charging phones etc. in our room but luckily we had a multi-USB adapter. If you come here, expect room to be basic and possibly no balcony and you'll be fine. Comfortable beds, a fairly powerful shower head that you didn't need to hold like we've found in so many Greek places was a bonus, decent fresh selection on the continental breakfast, rooms tidied every day, sheets and towels replaced every 2-3days, comfortable seating and sunbeds available, lovely clean pool (one of only pools you see from the restaurants or Castle up high) stunning views and excellent location for all Molyvos has to offer. Genuinely lovely owner, staff and family. So, despite the initial disappointment we can't wait to go back to Amfitriti again, balcony or not. 😍

A lovely friendly, clean & pretty family hotel in a beautiful place. This was the third time we have stayed at this hotel and once again it did not disappoint.
Breakfasts were eaten outside in the pretty garden by the pool & olive trees. There is a good choice of food for breakfast, not extensive, but sufficient and always delicious. Eggs (scrambled & hard boiled) meat, cheese, bread, tomatoes, olives, yoghurt, cake, jam, honey, muesli & watermelon.
The staff make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive until the sad departure!
Rooms are fairly basic, but clean and comfortable and a decent size, with a good sized fridge, air conditioning, sufficient wardrobe space and drawers and a hairdryer in the shower room. Towels and bedding are changed every 3 days, but the room is cleaned every day.
The hotel is situated in pretty Molyvos, a very short walk to the sea and the street leading to the harbour and the beautiful cobbled streets up to the castle.
The pool is in the pretty garden with lovely views of the castle. Very relaxing.
We were sad to leave and can’t wait to return.

Amazing hotel great friendly owners and staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Something for everyone at breakfast freshly prepared. Great relaxed atmosphere lovely pool area plenty of sun-beds. The fact breakfast is served 8 to 10 means a relaxing start to the day. Have never felt as relaxed on a holiday. Can’t wait to return.

Found this hotel online and it was exactly as I expected.
A family run business with high standards. Impeccably clean with attention to detail.
Situated in the lower part of town, everything is accessible.
We had a wonderful view of the castle and could also see the sea. The beach is yards away but they have a fantastic pool. The gentle breeze is magic.
Bar service at hand.
The breakfast is continental and can be take alfresco.
We will definitely come here again

The proprietors of Amfitriti, Molyvos - Menelaos and Thelpi - are the friendliest hosts we've ever stayed with. The hotel is beautifully located near to the sea in a picturesque road and the glorious garden and pool are the envy of most passers-by, holidaymaker or local. The hospitality is simple but of the highest standard; the only holiday/hotel combination we've ever repeated (in fact we've stayed there six times in five years). We were there in September 2003, too; and had an experience diametrically opposed to the other, rather embittered reviewer. Maybe this chap needs to try a bit of empathy with the locals? say, a bit of language - and get out more, too, as anywhere you stay in Molyvos will tend to be a base for exploring the many culinary and cultural delights of the town and island of Lesbos as a whole.

We've just spent 2 weeks at the Amfitriti in Molyvos. Molyvos is paradise, sadly however, the Amfitriti is not! The owners must be the least friendly Greeks alive, the bar is simply an extension of the family home and not a comfortable place for guests as the TV is on so loudly that the family shout at each other. The bar service is non existent and there is definitely NO restaurant at the hotel! We were left with the impression that the owners are after maximum profit for minimum effort, and believe me, they put in minimum effort! They are only interested in ensuring their family are catered for. We had to take our own bags to the room & bring them back down again on departure, no service offered at all. Breakfast was simply 6 piesces of toast (not always toasted) with 2 samples of jam and tea or coffee all for 5Euros! DO NOT GO HERE!

We stayed at this nice hotel twice. This is a family run hotel. The hotel owners are really nice people. They became like a family to us.
The hotel is very clean and peaceful. The room prices are really reasonable. It is near to the sea if you do not prefer the small pool of the hotel. The garden. is a good place to read your book after having beakfast. In the evening go find nice restaurants around the hotel.
Personally I never found a fault with Amfitriti Hotel. Some of my friends went there on my recommendation and they also became very pleased. Do not hesitate to choose this hotel next summer.
