Danny's Hotel is frequently lauded for its cleanliness, with guests commending both the rooms and public spaces. The staff's excellent service, particularly the attentive pool bar service, contributes to the welcoming atmosphere that is often mentioned in reviews. Although some travelers note extra charges for air conditioning and sun loungers, the hotel's amenities and food are generally considered good value for money. Its prime location is a standout feature, offering easy access to beaches and local attractions. While the rooms are described as basic yet clean, the hotel also offers new deluxe accommodations that receive praise. Evening entertainment, such as karaoke and Greek dancing, adds to the vibrant atmosphere, though it may be too lively for some. The amenities, including the pools, are appreciated, though they can become crowded.

Very friendly staff throughout the hotel. Well positioned for beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Food served at the pool bar is excellent value for money, well presented and served quickly. Social distancing is being taken seriously with temperature check in all arrivals at the hotel, spaced out tables and chairs, spaced out sun loungers too. Felt very safe everywhere we went - masks in shops, hand sanitizer in bars, shops & restaurants, and hotel staff wore masks too. Yannis and Olivia made our stay a wonderful experience.

My Wife, and I spent 2 weeks at Dannys, from the 16/08, till the 30/08.
We were in a superior room(136), low down, right beside the quiet pool.
It was very modern, with nice decor, a walk in shower, double bed , 2 ring hot plate, toaster, and kettle.
A nice size balcony, with table, and 3 chairs.
Dannys also has its own supermarket, restaurant/snack bar, and a large bar, we found the staff to be very friendly.
The surrounding area is full of tavernas, and bars, with the usual splattering of tourist, travel, and car hire shops.
The beach, which is superb, is a 12/15 minute walk away, really safe for kids, shallow for about 100 yards out, and sandy, no stones, or pebbles.
Have only good things to say about Dannys, or first visit, but certainly would return.

This was our second visit to Danny’s in as many years having first visited in August 2020 following a cancellation to Tenerife. The amount of regular guests speaks volumes for this place, we saw many of the same people from last year and you can see that almost everyone had been here before at some point. We have never been to the same place twice but we had such an amazing time that we booked again this year and we were not disappointed. From the moment you arrive you are treated like friends in this family run accommodation. The hotel is well situated and in walking distance from many shops, bars and Greek Tavernas. Special mentions to Busters Bar and Sakisfaction Rooftop Bar which we frequently visited both years. The hotel itself is lovely. It has two good size swimming pools (one of which is quiet if you like some peace). There is an on site shop for all you need during your stay. The restaurant located by the main pool is incredibly well priced and the food is to an excellent standard with lots of choice, we ate here most days for breakfast or lunch. The beach is around a 10/15 minute walk, and attracts a regular turtle visitor which we managed to spot. The trips are all amazing to, over the two years we did Zante by Night, Water Village, Turtle Island and the must see Navagio Shipwreck Beach. Finally the staff, Yannis and Ioana are fantastic and make every effort to speak to all guests daily. All staff including cleaners, bar staff, chefs and gardener work extremely hard every day. I can’t recommend Danny’s highly enough, this place is truly my amazing.

The actual hotel was nice. The staff let it down, we had been looking forward to the famous 'friendly' service but everyone must have had a break from being friendly for a week. We were treated like an inconvenience upon arriving earlier than expected (due to us taking a taxi rather than transfer coach)
And this set the tone for the week. At checkout, the lady in the shop uttered one word...'Key'

The maids are friendly.

But the biggest problem with this hotel is that is it so, so loud and rowdy. The bar plays loud music and sports all day, every day until the early hours and we needed to keep the aircon on to provide white noise to block this out slightly (room 319)
But even then, I was awoken multiple times from shouting guests, slamming doors, patio chairs being dragged about etc until 2/3am every single night.
The majority of guests were lager louts, swearing loudly repeatedly in and around the main pool. Luckily, there is a second pool which was always quieter so we just used that.

It was honestly like being back in Ibiza in my late teens. Definely not a relaxing, family hotel.

The studio was large, well maintained. Agree with others re towels - even those sopping wet used to mop the 'wetroom' after a shower were just hung up on the balcony to be re-used (even though they were visibly dirty from mopping the floor, not just wet)
The balcony is long but extremely thin - you can't fit four people without lining the chairs up like a bus.
There is not enough cutlery/crockery for 4 and when I asked a maid for extra, I was told I'd need to go to reception. No thanks, I'd rather do without.

We didn't try the food, but the cocktails were nice and reasonably priced.

We hired a car for the majority of the week and so escaped the hotel and Alykanas as much as humanly possible.

Overall, I was very disappointed with the service and very disappointed with the hotel. I was not expecting a sports bar themed hotel at all, this is not advertised as being the main feature anywhere.

It's a shame, as the actual hotel is a good set out. A short walk to the beach.

If you're a deep sleeper and enjoy rowdiness, this is the place for you.
Otherwise, look elsewhere.

First time to Alykanas and Danny's Hotel, and the value for money was astounding overall. We stayed in the rooms of what I guess was the Kali Pigi hotel, and the room was pretty good, if abit dated, but did have everything we needed. What was rare for greek hotels was a shower which actually had good water pressure! although the absence of a shower curtain is a curious choice, going for the "wet room" look

There are two pools at the hotel. The one we had right by our room is considered the "quiet pool" and it is incredibly chilled out there and fully recommend if you are looking for a more relaxing experience. The other pool is by the Bar/Restaurant and is typically much busier and louder, but not to the point that it's off putting.

Speaking of the restaurant. We had lunch there a couple of times and breakfast once. Again, the value for money is great. 2 Euros for a pretty decent sized Pitta Gyros is always a winner, and the breakfast for 5 euros was damn good as well!

There is also a bar towards the entrance of the hotel which is open till about midnight, and prices of drinks are pretty much in line with the normal around the resort (you do get a cheeky free shot with your first order) and they have most sporting events going on as well.

The supermarket by the road is also run by the hotel. Yes the prices are a little higher than others down the road, but you are paying for the convenience of it all, and I wouldn't say its a rip off in any sense, so I do find the reviews complaining about the prices there a bit OTT. Although I will say 7 euros per day for Air Con is a little steep.

But then again, the value for money for what we paid to stay here and what we had whilst out there was just so good, it's hard not to rate this place 5/5. Everything we needed was here and it was perfectly located, about 2 minutes away from the main road into Alykanas.

We have just returned home from 10 days at Danny's. The hotel was so clean and well maintained. We had a pool view balcony, the balcony was a nice size, plenty of room for a table and chairs. The rooms were basic but cleaned everyday, the cleaners made our beds every day, and emptied the bins daily and changed the sheets every other day, they even tidied up when we left thing on the floor. It's hard to get used to not putting the loo roll down the toilet and there is no shower curtain so the water goes everywhere but it's so warm it dried very quickly. The towels were changed most days too.
The pool bar was lovely, the food was lovely, the full monty breakfasts were a big hit with us and my son loved the tuna baguettes. It was all reasonably priced, The waitresses were so lovely and helpful and the young family running the pool bar were so friendly and welcoming. Their little girls were adorable.
The bar made THE BEST MOJITOS, in fact all cocktails were amazing. The bar staff were brilliant Costa and David were very friendly. There was bingo nights, karaoke and quiz nights for those who wanted to take part. The couple who ran the bar were lovely too, even if the horn honking drove us mad 🤣.
The shop was well stocked and had all the basics we needed. And the couple who ran the shop were helpful and helped us up to the room when we checked in.
There is 2 pools, one next to the pool bar which has a kids pool and a jacuzzi this was abit more lively and lots of the younger kids played in this one and the other pool was abit quieter and not too overcrowded. We never had a problem getting sunbeds, there was plenty of them. They all have parasols too. Both the pools were cleaned in the evening, and the pool areas were very clean.
There are lots of bars and restaurants and the end of the road so plenty of variety where to eat, the beach is about 10 mins walk. We loved the Roadhouse restaurant, and the Mill bar which their greek night is a must!

Just back from an 11 day stay at Danny's with my husband and 17 year old daughter. We arranged for a private transfer through Danny's which cost 25 euros, they were there waiting for us in the departure lounge, for a quick transfer to the hotel, only took about 15 mins. On arrival we had a great welcome from the staff and were quickly taken to our room, there are no lifts, but the man carried our cases up the steps for us. The rooms are basic, no shower curtain, but they are clean and do the job. We paid extra for the air con and a safe, the safe is situated in the shop. Plenty of sun loungers, no need to get up early to reserve a bed, readily available at any time of the day. The pool bar serve a great choice of food, which is delicious, especially the small English breakfast which came with a slice of toast, butter and jam and an orange juice for 4 Euros, cheap as chips and of high quality. There is also a decent cocktail menu, screaming orgasm was my favourite of the holiday it was amazing. The waitresses around the pool were lovely, so friendly and a big thanks to Senya for looking after us all during our stay there. Yannis and his wife are brilliant, they will do anything they can for you, if you need something during your stay, ask them and they will try their best to accommodate. We arranged taxis through them for a visit to Laganas and to Zante Water Village, decent price and picked us up again on our return no problem. We had our beach towels washed for 10 euros in the shop as they were full of suncream half way through our hols, dropped them off at night and picked them up in the morning. Danny's is within walking distance of lots of other bars and restaurants, our favourite being Vrysaki which is just across the road and Horio which is about 5 minutes walk. In the evening there are horse and carts which will take you into Alykes for 10 Euros for a change of scenery and can walk back along the river which takes about 20 mins. The beach is 15 minutes walk from the hotel, gorgeous beach, some with waiter service, around 8/10 euros for 2 sunbeds and a parasol. There are plenty of watersports and boat trips to the shipwreck, turtle bay and blue caves. Would highly recommend Danny's, very family orientated and so friendly, definitely true arrive as strangers, leave as friends.

Just arrived back from a 10 night stay at Danny's. From the start I thought this trip was going to be an absolute nightmare as the 1st holiday was cancelled with only 24hrs notice, we had some friends that flew out a few days before, they went to the reception and asked if there was any rooms available for the whole 10 days and luckily there was so we just booked flights.
We arrived and checked in, never had such an easy check in and our cases was taken to our room (109). The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Now the staff!!!! Wonderful wonderful, wonderful. Couldnt do enough for you and nothing was ever a problem. Food and drink at the bar are at a very reasonable price with a very quick service. So what turned from been a dreaded holiday turned out to be amazing. Will defo be returning next year for sure. Thank Yanni, family and all the staff.

We had a holiday booked to Florida, which was cancelled and then booked Malta which went out of the window due to our teenagers being blocked due to not having had vaccines.

We looked on TUI and picked from the cheapest 2 week breaks and basically chose the one with the best review on trip advisor and nicest looking pool. I'm so glad we did!

We have had the best time here. You have to pay 50c per night per room in tax (cost us 14 euro (2 rooms) but is standard for Greece. you also have to pay for aircon if you want it at 7 euro per night. Again this is standard as electricity is expensive here. We came during the unprecedented heatwave so paid for 14 nights from day 1.

We booked it as self catering (money is tight as we still haven't had refunds from the other 2 holidays). The first night, we arrived late and posed to the restaurant over the road as the pool bar had already closed for the night. We then bought some bits for breakfast from the on site supermarket and went to bed. Only after we had eaten, did we go to the pool only to discover the menu is not only vast but incredibly well priced. The quality of food is absolutely outstanding, in fact we ended up having over 90% of our meals here. It closes at about 6.30pm so if you want to eat late, you will have to pop in to town but when you see how hard the team work from the start of the day, you can't begrudge them the early finish!

The bar and catering are run by the hotel Husband and Wife team Yannis and Ioana. Staff work incredibly hard and everyone has absolute pride in what they do. Smiles on faces and fist bumps all round!

The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and are swept and mopped out every day with disinfectant. Linen and room towels are changed regularly.

We met some absolutely lovely people here and will definitely be back! We never go back to the same place twice but WE WILL come back here! It's just too good!

It is clear that a LOT of the guests come here several times a year, every year. They are on first name terms with all the staff and speak of remembering Yannis as a young boy. He takes time to come around and speak to every guest!

If you want a decent, laid back, hot, well catered holiday, come here!

Booked to stay at Danny’s after Spain was effectively closed to British tourists in August 2020. We took advantage of an offer on the TUI website just 9 days before travelling and were confident after looking at previous guest reviews.
Yanni and the team run an excellent hotel and we can see why people return year after year. He and his team are great, nothing is too much trouble. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet part of the resort but close to all the bars, restaurants and shops with the beach being a 10 minute walk away.
The food is excellent, a huge choice for breakfast, lunch and larger meals all very good quality and not expensive.
We had a great time at Danny’s and would love to return in the future!
Thank You Yanni and team!

No, there's no bar at the deluxe rooms pool but we just walked across the street to the main pool bar for lunch and drinks. Apparently you can also take drinks back to the deluxe room pool from here too if you want.

I don't think there will be a separate bedroom - looking at the photos on the booking site it seems that the beds are all in the main room. Normally a studio means just one main sleeping/living area with an open kitchen and separate bathroom.
