Stayed at Morfia for a week and had a brilliant time. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, beds are a little hard but we have come to expect that in Greece. However you can ask for a mattress topper if you need to. Rooms cleaned often and towels and bed changed. Couldn't ask for more. Great location with a bus stop nearby (number 18) a service that runs about every 10 mins and takes you all along the bottom of the island. Pool was super clean and gardens immaculately manicured. Staff work very hard to keep this place pristine.
10/15 minute walk to the beach which was lovely, calmest sea on the island.
Skiathos town is beautiful and well worth a visit (or 3 in our case).
Had a fabulous holiday. Thanks Morfia and Family

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at the Morfia hotel. Every member of staff was so warm and welcoming. The location is extremely convenient, with 2 supermarkets, a bakery and plenty of tavernas all within minutes walk. It was always very quiet. Our room was in the building up the steps, which although a bit of hard work, meant we had a lovely view from our balcony over the pool and gardens. The room was really spacious, typical Greek style, accommodation. It was extremely clean. The cleaner changed the bins every day and changed our towels/sheets and mopped the bathroom every other day. Even though it was mid August, we didn’t need the air con at all as the room was lovely and cool and airy. We had seen on other reviews issues with other guests reserving sun beds at the crack of dawn, but this was never an issue. No one put towels on beds and left for hours. Every day of our stay there were beds available even late morning. We didn’t have any issue at all getting a sun bed whatever hour of the day it was. The only reason I’m giving this review 4 stars instead of 5 is because we felt the pool could be cleaner. Later in the day there was quite of lot of debris in the pool and there was a green line round the edge in some parts. Also, although we are used to Greek accommodation having hard beds, the beds were a bit lumpy and you could feel the springs. Overall, I would definitely recommend this accommodation and would stay again.

Hotel Morfia is beautiful. It is a very basic hotel but saying that it is kept up to standards. There are a lot of local supermarkets nearby. And all the staff there are so lovely. We stayed here for 11 nights and we had a great holidays. It’s about a 15/20 minute walk to the beach and it can be quite a tough walk in the hot weather. Even though they say sunbeds should not be reserved people do reserve them quite early. And we even encountered a rude older women who told us we could not sit in two seats that were free next to her by the pool because apparently they were reserved by her. Even though there was no towels on those seats and the whole day no one else came and sat in them. Apart from that every over guest we met was so nice and it was just a great environment to be in. There is a bus stop near the hotel called bus stop 18. If you go and ask for bus stop 0 it takes you into town and near the port and it only costs 3 euros and then you ask for bus stop 18 on your way back. If you ask for any other bus stops it is normally 2 euros bus stop 22 takes you to maratha beach. The tui rep at the hotels are amazing. They also serve food at the hotel between 9 to 3 such as breakfast and sandwiches. There are a lot of food places near by such as ratatouille which is owned by the owners of the hotel they have a great food selection there. It gets quite busy though so book a reservation if you can. Captain Nikos nearby is also great for food. The only other problem we encountered was with the Wi-Fi as it would not work in our room at all. Apart from that it was a great stay and we were really surprised by how good the hotel and staff were.

Our apartment was basic but appeared clean when we arrived, however did not appear to be cleaned anymore during the week we were there, only the bins were changed daily (apart from Sunday) and the towels and sheets changed twice during the week. Apart from that the room had pretty much everything needed although the shower was sub standard and the pole holding the shower curtain up continually fell off the wall when using the shower. The grounds are well kept, we did not use the pool as could never get a sunbed and were not prepared to put towels down at 7-7.30am like a lot of people did. The best thing about Morfia, in our opinion, is the on site Ratatouille restaurant which we ate at a couple of times, lovely food and service. Overall we would not return to Morfia, however loved Skiathos, the beaches, the town and the ease of getting around due to the regular bus service.

Booked through tui. The description of the duplex studio I booked was misleading. I went with my husband and 25 year old son. The accommodation was described as "duplex studios come with a double and twin room" and "a duplex studio for more space with an extra bedroom". This was not the case. It was an open plan studio bedroom with kitchen area, a staircase in the bed area leading up to a mezzanine area with a bed and wardrobe and curtains which did not fit the whole area and did not join in the middle. No door. No privacy whatsoever. When I complained to the tui rep she argued that it was a studio not an apartment but when I showed her the description on the tui website she agreed that it did indeed say an extra bedroom. She said there were no rooms like that on site so nothing she could do but did speak to the staff who said they'd sort out the curtains. A staff member came and put 2 safety pins to join the curtains in the middle but that still meant the were large gaps either side. Because of the attitude of the rep I didn't pursue this anymore but it was not ideal for my son, who has his own house, to have such a lack of privacy. The hotel complex itself is very nice with a good atmosphere and lovely restaurant and bar serving snacks. The area it is situated in is also very good. I complained to tui when I got home and was offered a £15 voucher for Costa coffee. Not good enough. I would not have booked this accommodation if I had known there was no extra bedroom with 4 walls and a door.

We visited this hotel for 11 nights in June. We were pleasantly surprised, only a short trip from the airport, and were greeted by one of the family who instructed the young barman Seraphim to carry our cases up a shoert flight of stairs to our room overlooking the pool. We ate that evening in the Hotel restuarant Ratatouille which is good. There are loads of restauranrs and bars just a few minutes walk away all serving good, reasonably priced food and large helpings. Three supermarkets close by and one Live Music Bar if you like to have a sing song and a boogie. Trulos beach is very busy and if you arrive later than 10am packed it is also a 15 min walk along the busy main road, there is a short cut by the Sunshine bar which is far more pleasent. Towels and sheets changed at least three time during our stay and family who run the hotel very helpful not forgetting Olaf the lovely puppy who kept us entertained. All in all we loved it.

Morfia is an excellent hotel in Troulos. The room was modern and freshly updated. The house cleaning was amazing with daily cleaning and bedding and towels changed every 3 days. Troulos beach is a pleasant 15 minute walk away. 10 minute walk to bus stop 18 for journeys into town. A number of good taverns in the locality. Downside was the Wi-fi when in our room was very poor and unreliable and the TV was unusable as was the shower with a very dodgy curtain that flooded the en-suite when used.

Had a lovely holiday and stay at this hotel. The room (room 4) was excellent. The cleaners were very good and overall the hotel was very clean. It is in a good location with plenty of restaurants nearby. The owner/staff were very friendly. The only reason I scored 4 rather than five is that in order to get a sunbed by the pool you need to get up very early to get one. I witnessed one person reserving six beds at 6:30am!!! There is a notice to say guests are requested not to put towels on beds to reserve them but this was not enforce, although I can understand why the staff do not tackle this and I guess it does it show more about the attitude of some British guests.

first of all the positives and there are many. Room excellent size biggest we have ever know so was cool and aircon never needed even though extremely hot. Cleanliness excellent brillant cleaner plenty of bedding and towel changes. on site taverna ratatouille first class one of best in troulos. very good small supermarket only 100 yards away
we were in block at the top of lawns away from the pool, while faultless room a dog at propery down the lane at the side barked incessently even in the night because it was cooped up on the veranda and barked whenever anyone went by. This is not the fault of the hotel but bear in mind if you are a light sleeper. soundproofing awful the first day we were woken at 5-30 by the people upstairs sounded like they were throwing marbles around, then very young child grizzling as it did practically nion stop, then constant furniture moving, i cant imagine what they found to drag round the floor. the couple next to us had been thee several days said they could hear it and had bought ear plugs,, for those people and the dog. there was a large rowdy wedding party there all with very young toddlers who seemed to cry alot even 10pm screaming their heads off in the bar probably because too hot and tired. ive had children and tried never to inconvenience other people we would put hem to bed and stay in with them theres certain things you have to accept life changes for awhile.
sunbeds round the pool aproblem first time ever in 20 years all gone by 9am i saw people scurrying down at 6-30 putting towels on , one chap had 10 towels one day, there was one group who had to have same beds everyday, the mangement could have prevented this. we used the pool at byzantium just down the road which had plenty of beds excellent food and nice and quiet no screaming toddlers.
After looking forward to this holiday for 3 years because of lockdown, we felt stressed out by all this. when we mentioned it we were told people with children are entitled to a holiday yes but so are we, i dont expect to be woken silly early and to able to get a sunbed and not listen to a load of drunken louts and their screaming kids. when they left after a few days things improved considerably. several people said to us good for you speaking out we woud never come back again. Because a hotel says family friendly it shouldnt mean everyone else -tough. Everywhere else we have stayed in skiathos has had children there no problem because their parents were responsable and mindful of other people
we are returning to troulos next year because it is a very good base but not to morfia

The Morfia apartments are fantastic, spotlessly clean with beautiful gardens and a great pool. The family who own them are so friendly and can’t do enough to help their guests. We stayed in July and had the best holiday ever, the location is great with just a 5 minute walk to the local shops and a great bakery and 15 minute walk to the beach, would recommend here for anyone who wants a quiet family holiday

Hi are local restaurants close by and do you have to walk uphill to get back to apartments?

Hi do all the apartments have air-conditioning and if so do you have to pay for it?
Answer from Chez R

We were stopping in the fishing village (Name for the apartments) and these all had air conditioning included. It was censored though but we found if we turned both units on when leaving the room you would come back and it would be very cool. The only time it would be a bit warm would be early hours of the morning as if you don't move during your sleep as such then the sensor wouldn't think anybody is in. There may be a way of increasing the timer but we never tried as it worked fine and was always cool in the room.
