10/15 minute walk to the beach which was lovely, calmest sea on the island.
Skiathos town is beautiful and well worth a visit (or 3 in our case).
Had a fabulous holiday. Thanks Morfia and Family

we were in block at the top of lawns away from the pool, while faultless room a dog at propery down the lane at the side barked incessently even in the night because it was cooped up on the veranda and barked whenever anyone went by. This is not the fault of the hotel but bear in mind if you are a light sleeper. soundproofing awful the first day we were woken at 5-30 by the people upstairs sounded like they were throwing marbles around, then very young child grizzling as it did practically nion stop, then constant furniture moving, i cant imagine what they found to drag round the floor. the couple next to us had been thee several days said they could hear it and had bought ear plugs,, for those people and the dog. there was a large rowdy wedding party there all with very young toddlers who seemed to cry alot even 10pm screaming their heads off in the bar probably because too hot and tired. ive had children and tried never to inconvenience other people we would put hem to bed and stay in with them theres certain things you have to accept life changes for awhile.
sunbeds round the pool aproblem first time ever in 20 years all gone by 9am i saw people scurrying down at 6-30 putting towels on , one chap had 10 towels one day, there was one group who had to have same beds everyday, the mangement could have prevented this. we used the pool at byzantium just down the road which had plenty of beds excellent food and nice and quiet no screaming toddlers.
After looking forward to this holiday for 3 years because of lockdown, we felt stressed out by all this. when we mentioned it we were told people with children are entitled to a holiday yes but so are we, i dont expect to be woken silly early and to able to get a sunbed and not listen to a load of drunken louts and their screaming kids. when they left after a few days things improved considerably. several people said to us good for you speaking out we woud never come back again. Because a hotel says family friendly it shouldnt mean everyone else -tough. Everywhere else we have stayed in skiathos has had children there no problem because their parents were responsable and mindful of other people
we are returning to troulos next year because it is a very good base but not to morfia
