Small and friendly authentic greek hotel. Hector and Stavros were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect, with a short walk to the beach and various tavernas. Room was adequate, but would have liked a microwave or a grill as it was self catering and felt the equipment supplied was a bit lacking. Definitely would stay here again. Rooms was cleaned every day, towels and bedding changed regularly so no complaints there.
Spent a week at Mythos Studios at the end of August with my partner. It was a very last minute booking and upon reading the reviews I was glad we chose Mythos for our last minute getaway. The hotel is basic in that you have to pay for things that would otherwise be considered standard elsewhere, aircon for example. That said Ektor was very honest and said we possibly didn’t need it and to see how we went on before purchasing it so I don’t think it is a money making scheme - just something to note if you are used to it being part of your holiday, it is apparently standard practice on smaller islands like skiathos. I HAVE to have air con so it was a must have expense and cost us €50 for the week, The rooms are basic. Beds a little hard although not to the point of uncomfortable. What is missing and what I do think could be improved on is the lack of a full length mirror, I do like to look at myself in a full length mirror before going out (vanity at its best!) but struggled with the smaller mirrors only so that might be a point the hotel could improve on. Rooms were only cleaned if we left our room key at the bar which is a good economical use of the domestics time I felt. The food and drinks here are amazing, we are very well during our stay, the Greek salad, pizza, club sandwich, chips - All home made, all created by Stavros and really well presented. Cocktails are strong, reasonably priced and they have a good selection. You access the hotel via a dirt track then via quite a hilly road, I do not think it is suitable for those with accessibility issues or those with small children that need prams. But the wall did us good, if not to walk off the copious amounts of tzatiki and gyros that we consumed! It is adjacent to a pig farm with a very vocal cockerel - but again, it made for real entertainment watching them run about in their field.. The other patrons of the hotel were all lovely and friendly and as I say, most were returning customers from years gone by. All things considered it was a wonderful holiday, we met new friends, ate well and for a short moment, we could forget about the new normal of Covid that we are all embroiled in. Would we return? Yes. And I think there can be no higher compliment than that. …
Have just returned from the most relaxing, fab 11 days at Mythos. It was a last minute booking but it was just what we needed. Resort quiet but expected that. Basic accommodation but spotless and pool and bar area are lovely. Stavros and Ektor are great hosts. Thankyou for helping to make these unusual times more bearable.😎
Lovely small place. The guys who look after it are great. Hector always addresses the guests by name. The place is clean. the pool is great. some children the first week who were well behaved. within walking distanced of beach and tarvena's.
Just home after a fabulous week at the apartments. Wasnt sure whether we would get there but so glad we did. Stayed in block 2, room 202, rooms are basic but had everything we needed, bed and shower! room cleaned everyday bedding changed midweek and towels changed twice. Food was fabulous at apartments and fell in love with greek salad, can highly recommend margaretta and mythos special pizza, cocktails were lovely and spiked lemonade was our favourite. Staviros and Ektor made us feel very welcome, my sister and I were very sorry to leave and will definitely be back in the future, we can understand why everyone returns year after year. Stunning location so peaceful and quiet and a wonderful find.
