I never write reviews but after our holiday here at the Carian I just need to let people know how amazing this place is and how lucky you are to stay here.
Firstly the staff here can not do enough for you and are the kindest friendliest helpful people. The bar staff are so friendly especially Eva at the pool bar she’s so hardworking and lovely. The maids are such hard working women they clean the rooms every day and change your towels daily always chatty and happy even after their 14 hour day. The manager is a lovely man and always happy to help along with the friendly reception staff too.
The sea view rooms are simply stunning and you’ll never tire of the views here. The infinity pool is gorgeous and cleaned daily and there are more than enough sun beds to go around. The beds are never saved as it’s such a relaxed atmosphere. Pool towels are available every day too.
There is so much to see here and recommend a car just to see the island but you’ll only need to for a day or two and you can hire one directly opposite for 35 Euros a day.
The jet 2 rep Maria is so friendly and helpful and always on hand for any questions and visits the hotel nearly every day.
The rooms are modern and clean and my only negative would be the storage as it’s only one rail for your clothes but plenty of shelves. We didn’t have enough hangers but they gave us more as soon as we asked along with an iron or anything else you may need.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this beautiful place and couldn’t see how anyone would ever write a bad review about it. You’d struggle to find anything better than this little beauty

Location is very good, shops, bars & beaches are a short stroll away. The rooms are clean and bright and those facing Telendos have stunning views, you could spend your whole time sitting just there. The best thing about this hotel is the great staff. We left an iPhone behind and the lovely Yiota in reservations simply arranged to post it back to us, free of charge. That says it all really. An English friend was charged £40 to have his phone returned from a hotel in England! Highly recommend.

The Carian is a modern hotel in a great location, with wonderful views from the balcony of most rooms, large comfortable beds and good aircon. We found the WiFi good in most areas, including our room, by the pool and at breakfast (which was a good buffet selection, taken on a terrace with the same great views).

Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel pool and pool bar are lovely with plenty good quality sunbeds and chairs. There is a virtually private small shingle beach below the pool at the bottom of the steps, if you prefer to dip in the Aegean.

Kalymnos is a scenic island, very popular with international rock climbers. We hired a scooter for 12 euros a day and did a complete circuit of the island on one day, which was fun. There are lots of scooter rental places in Massouri, as well as loads of restaurants, including quite a few that were very good and exceeded expectations. The Carian is a couple of minutes walk from the central part of Massouri, which has a slightly hippy vibe. Recommended.

I spent a week in the lovely boutique in Kalymnos island overseeing the sensational island of Telendo, which is a walking distance from the hotel to the port, where you can easily catch the ferry to the small gem.
The staff is very helpful with tourists information, ferry and taxi booking and restaurants where you can enjoy the real Greek cuisine.
The swimming pool is always clean and situated in front of the sea, therefore you can enjoy a swim while overlooking the boats pass by.
Breakfast is very nice and how I could forget the delicious chocolate treat that the chef made after I complimented to her!
The while structure was clean and very well maintained from the whole staff, owner and the magnificent touch of Pola, which definitely makes the difference.
What I miss the most, beside the company if the friendly staff, is the drink at sunset which make me missing most my staying at Carian.
Worth to go, enjoy the vacation and get a treatment at Calliope center (just next door). Definitely recommended and go again in the future!

Excellent hotel with breath taking views. Our room was quite spacious with adequate size balcony and a good shower; cleaner visited every day to make the bed and change towels etc. Being right on the sea there was no traffic noise and access for a sea swim was at the end of the grounds onto a pebbly beach(rubber shoes advisable). Pool was well maintained with a bar for drinks and snacks. Good breakfast was served on the outdoor terrace where there is also another bar. There was a shortage of sunbeds with shade occasionally as the management allow non residents to use the facilities. There are no walking opportunities apart from on the busy road which has no footpaths so it is a case of dodging the traffic. There are some good tavernas within a 10 min. walk at reasonable prices; 2 meals with wine 30-40 euros. Staff were excellent; especially the evening duty guy.

This is such a relaxing hotel. The views out to sea and the sunsets showcasing Telendos island are stunning.
The staff are very keen to please and maintain high standards throughout the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts with an exceptional range of freshly made products on offer, served by friendly and attentive staff.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size and housekeeping maintain good standards of cleanliness.
The staff at this hotel are exceptional- special mention to the reception/reservations team and the pool team.
The only drawback is the number of steps back up from the pool and no toilet or changing facilities by the pool, but the hotel is keen to put this right when they get permission.

We arrived very late and were greeted by a lovely gentleman who carried our cases to the room. The room is modern with a large bed and good air conditioning. There is no wardrobe but instead has hanging space and shelves underneath. The bathroom is very modern and there was always hot water. The door out to the balcony has a fly screen which is great. Quite a small balcony but we didn’t use it very much. The breakfast is delicious with a great view of Telendos. Lots of small nibbles to try. The sunbeds are comfy and you can change beach towels as often as you like. All the staff are amazing very friendly and welcoming. Made to feel like one of the family. The lunch/snack bar menu is excellent and there is a good range of drinks from the pool bar. The hotel is within walking distance of lots of bars and restaurants. We stayed for 2 weeks and ate somewhere different nearly every night. The hotel cocktail bar is excellent with a great bartender. The only negatives were that there could be a bit more hanging space and the light comes through the bathroom door into the bedroom on a night. Small grumbles really. I would recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat. Thanks guys for an amazing stay.

Superb hotel that provided everything for our stay on Kalymnos. The views from the hotel (in fact the entire island) are breathtaking. Rooms were very clean and functional but you could get a little bit of noise from other rooms at times. Staff were excellent, everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. The pool was a good size given this is only a small property and the sun deck area was adequate, it could get busy at times. There is a myriad of nearby restaurants to choose from for dinning out, all within a few minutes stroll and all very nice.

In short couldn't praise the Hotel more, enhanced our stay and made us very welcome.

This is a truly amazing hotel with wonderful staff. After my husband broke his leg the hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay as comfortable as possible from taking us to the local hospital to asking if we wanted to move rooms. The owners and manager of the hotel always made themselves available for guests with a friendly greeting every morning. I found the hotel spotlessly clean in all areas, the room was great with breathtaking views. We both loved the breakfast with all diets catered for and efficient friendly waiting staff. We will be revisiting the island for sure and will definitely be staying at the Carian Hotel again.

We had a wonderful stay in one of the Junior Suites. The view is magnificent. The staff is great, especially the pool attendant. Food in general and breakfast is also great. You can hire a car with them, that’s what we did and they deliver it to the port. No issues, uncomplicated service.

Minor issues: we had an issue with the housekeeping after one day, but addressed it and the service was improved immediately. The AC is a little weak when it’s very hot outside. In our bathroom one of the fixtures wasn’t attached properly to the wall and only the small flushing of the toilet worked. The key card holder fell off once, my husband fixed it. While this did not effect our stay, we didn’t bother too much. Cappuccino is an extra charge. You have to pay a deposit for pool towels. We found this unusual for hotels in this category. Since we booked with them directly, we paid a high rate for the room category. Comparing this to other places in Greece, I feel the rate was a little to high. While you can book the hotel in a package from the UK it’s probably a great deal. I think most guest do that. If you book directly and expect a little extra luxury since the rate is high, you might be disappointed, depending on your rate.

However this is a good hotel, the staff is very nice and the food is great.
