We were disappointed with restautant food in the hotel. Breakfast meals was always dried, not much variaty for dinner as well as for breakfast. We were surprised that no tap water was offered - we had to buy it during each dinner. The ventilstor in the bathroom was not working.

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in April. When I arrived we were received very well and the team of staff at the hotel were very friendly. The room was very nice with a clear view of the airport strip for a very unique hotel experience where we were able to watch planes fly very closely - unless you are somebody who has extreme sleeping issues - no the planes are not an issue they are a massive advantage in their uniqueness. The pool area was nice but was very basic. A square shaped pool with sun-beds encircling it. There is a lovely gondola style lift which takes you down to a secluded sandy beach (please note it is not completely sandy beach and does have a lot of rocks in the sand which can be uncomfortable to walk on). The food was very good with a large selection of meals to pick from. Although we got half board - dinner requires you to pay for your drinks do keep that in mind when you visit. The greatest part of my restaurant experience was the customer service demonstrated by Antonia. Antonia was the most friendly staff member that I have encountered whilst travelling. She was very attentive and heightened my restaurant experience at Corfu Holiday Palace. She is clearly very passionate in her role and loves her job. She was very patient with my son who is very messy and fussy with food and even encouraged him to the point of him finishing his whole meal! Overall hotel was very good and I’d be very pleased to return - especially if Antonia is still working. It was very refreshing to step into a hotel and meet a member of staff that really embodies their role and makes us feel very welcomed every single time we step into the restaurant. Thank you Corfu and thank you Antonia!

Beautiful hotel with stunning views. We were at the front of the hotel and enjoyed watching the planes land and take off on the nearby runway. The management should be congratulated on their staff selection. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly, including the cleaning ladies who worked very hard. The place is spotless. My only gripe relates to the restaurant. A quick change would really improve the ambience. (We were half board. ) I think if you provided tea and coffee to the guests at breakfast rather than have us queue at a machine would be appreciated. Very frustrating and when I eventually returned to my table everyone had finished their breakfasts! In addition, the selection of vegetarian and vegan food was very limited and not always labelled. The desserts on the other hand were very impressive!

We had THE BEST time!! My dad and I went to Corfu Holiday Palace for my dad’s bday dinner and the wonderful host, Antonia, was absolutely amazing. So caring, so thoughtful and attentive. She went out of her way to surprise my dad with a candle and a customised decorated cake and sang happy birthday whilst bringing the cake over to our table! She needs to be promoted or have a higher salary! Amazing service all round, will definitely come here again!

We spent three nights at Corfu Holiday Palace Hotel and had an amazing time. We had a bungalow with a small private pool on the terrace which was awesome! The bungalow was very nicely decorated, spacious for our family and very comfortable. However, one complaint that we had was that we couldn't get out of the bungalow door when we first arrived. As it was night time, they said they couldn't fix int until the following morning. The maintenance guy took three attempts to try and fix it and it definitely was a huge hassle and ate into our time there. The staff were extremely friendly at the hotel, most especially the porter, Nacer! He was so helpful and kind and always had a warm, welcoming smile on his face for us : ) All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Stayed at the very start of the season. Absolutely amazing weather. Paid for a sea view room and I would highly recommend. The lake view rooms overlook the airport runway. Amazing views of the sea and Mouse Island from the large balcony. Room quite spacious and comfortable and has everything you need, although no functioning shaver point. Pool area lovely and the waiter there worked very hard and was very friendly. Outdoor pool very cold but indoor pool lovely and warm. Lounge bar very nice in the evening with relaxing music. Cold in the evening, so take jumpers or a thick coat. Food was typical buffet food. Delicious desserts and for me these made up for the not so brilliant and a bit cold main meals. Lovely time and would recommend. Nothing much open around here in April though. Bus to Corfu town just outside- 2 euros on the bus or1.20 if you buy a ticket beforehand.

Pros: The view is beautiful and it is only a short walk across the private beach to the boats that take you to mouse island… and the weather was wonderful. There is a great selection of salad available on the buffet, even if the majority of the mains are meat. There are also many cakes available for both breakfast and supper! There is an indoor and outdoor pool and plenty of sun beds. The communal spaces in the hotel were relaxing and clean, with reruns of football games on the TV in the bar. It was lovely to be one of the first guests of the season as it meant there were very few other people in the hotel- we had our choice of seat and didn’t need to fight to get to the buffet. It is only a short bus ride into town- which is so nice to explore. €2 each way if you pay on the bus or €1.20 each way if you buy the ticket in advance from the kiosk off site. Cons: Half board does not include drinks with your supper- not even water. So when you’re planning your budget make sure to add the costs of drinks. The hot vegetarian options are limited (spaghetti with tomato sauce, dauphinois potatoes and some fried mushrooms) and they don’t really understand what vegetarian means, for example, they offered us a vegetarian omelette for breakfast, and then cooked it on the same hot plate that they had just cooked the bacon on and using the same utensils without cleaning them. So the omelette was cooked in bacon fat with lots of little flecks of bacon. The private beach is full of litter, lots of empty cans and bottles and even some broken glass. The lift down to the beach was out of action on the third day of our stay. The walk down isn’t arduous though. The outdoor pool is freezing, not that it deterred the children- but it’s worth bearing in mind. None of the games pool side were working- but the lady returned our money. There was an outdoor chess/ draughts board, but no pieces. There was an outdoor tennis court, but it was very run down. They closed the playground on our second day. There are no screens or net curtains on the patio doors, so you must shut them to avoid being eaten by mossies at night. The air conditioning is ineffective, so you wake up hot and sticky. Perhaps because you can’t open the windows, there is a little black mould growing between the bathroom tiles, a mild smell of damp emanating from the cupboards and a dehumidifier in the bedroom confirmed the suspicion of damp. As an aside: The massages are very expensive, (even with the 20% discount). My husband treated me to a whole body massage- €90 reduced to €73 . When I arrived the room was freezing, even though the air conditioning unit read 27. I told the lady that it was very cold and she apologised and explained that the windows hadn’t been opened and that the air conditioner wasn’t working yet- because I was the first person to use the spa that season. I needed to ask several times for her to cover me during the massage as it was SO cold in the room, so she covered me with additional towels. In hindsight, I should have just left, but I didn’t want to be rude. When I left, my teeth were chattering from cold. I told the manager in the spa and she recommended I come for another massage at an equally extortionate price. I spoke to the lady at the desk and she said that she would speak to the spa, but that the spa is separate from the hotel. The spa manager told her that the air conditioner had been set to 30… such a shame to have such poor customer service. It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.
