Amazing stay. Excellent staff. I stayed on February with a friend of mine. Quiet place. Close to town. We rented a car and visited all places in Corfu. There was also a restaurant inside the hotel with very good menu. We suggest to visit. You won't loose.

Panos and his team worked tirelessly to give us a wonderful holiday experience.Food was wonderful i.e. grilled bream was cooked perfectly. The pool area was very nice plenty of sun beds. A large pool with umbrellas. The cleaning was done every day. Overall a wonderful experience. Would go back.

Mmmm where to begin.. Our first ever trip to Greece and we didn't have a massive budget, so ipsos di mare seemed to suit all of our options at the time We usually book half board, with a view that it's not that much more than a bed and breakfast option, but if we dont like the food we can go elsewhere and eat out.. After a nice easy transfer from the airport, we had a lovely welcome at reception, as we were relatively late, we were booked in quickly, but not rushed and shown to our room (with a pool view).. which gave us time to catch a late meal in the restaurant.. nice pizza's fresh from the oven.. The room.. Basic is the easiest description, enough room for a double bed, dressing table with small (old) fridge under, and small table to put a bag on, which was a good job as there is no wardrobe or shelving to speak of, so we ended up living out of unpacked bags for the week.. the small safe was a bit of an art form to open with the override key that we were given, but we got the hang of it eventually.. The bathroom.. .. a small metal drain plate in the middle of the floor seems to have the sole intention of removing as much skin from your feet as possible on every visit, so best off covered with a towel on the floor.. the shower was tiny to say the least.. (We had larger in our touring caravan) with a shower curtain that insisted on wrapping itself around you when wet and a shower head that had a mind of it's own when switched on.. good hot water and pressure though so tick in the box there.. finally the toilet itself.. we get that you aren't supposed to flush paper, but the toilet itself wouldn't stop filling up after flushing, so unless you had the knack to stop it was somewhat annoying.. Pool area.. is unkempt and untidy, but the water was clean and nice and cooling in the hot weather we had, so a bit of maintenance and weeding wouldn't go amiss.. Restaurant.. we ate there every day to be fair.. only choosing to eat out one night as we fancied somewhere different. The waiters were nice and freindly, looked after us well and we had some good chats with them for some local knowledge (mainly about fishing) the food was nice and varied too, but limited to about four different dishes per day.. desserts were also good too with plenty of fresh fruit available if you wanted Overall.. its tired and careworn and looks like it needs some effort putting in to it to bring it up to scratch, we weren't expecting much to be honest, but we take the view that if its clean with clean bedding we will be ok.. other reviews moaned that you only get one pillow on the bed each.. ask at reception and another will appear as if by magic, so the staff do listen, are attentive and will help where possible.. the room was cleaned daily so a good tick in the box there Would recommend a poolside view room, as the sea view rooms overlooked the main road through Ipsos, so traffic was incessant and in the evening you could see the smog from exhaust fumes rising towards the balconies Would we go again..? Probably not, but we enjoyed the whole experience on the whole, would maybe go to corfu town instead

Pleasant base especially if you want to travel the Island - which we did cheaply on the public bus service. Ipsos resort is basically a strip with the main road directly in front of the hotel and you need to cross to get to a narrow pebble beach. On arrival our transport taxi stated this was a clubbing strip and lively - which was a little concerning for us slightly senior travellers - however we found it fairly quiet in the first week in September - quiet but still a good choice of bars - it may be different in high season. The staff at both the hotel, and wherever we travelled, were so very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and the bedlinen and towels changed daily with the exception of one day in seven. It’s a small to medium establishment that also has a walk in restaurant for the public. Our first day a wedding was held and so they switched the evening dinner to lunchtime to accommodate us all. We were half board - it was buffet for breakfast and dinner - a good selection and very satisfying - and I did complement the chef ( it wouldn’t however suit ‘Brits Abroad’ if you’re not keen on a Mediterranean menu) Pool was clean - low key with no bar service, but that suited us. The sea crystal clear and you can hire two sun beds and umbrellas between €8 to € 12 per day depending where on the beach with the higher rates throwing in a couple of bottles of water and usually provided waiter service from the bars across the road if you desired. The sunrises were spectacular and worth rising early - even if you then headed back to bed before catching breakfast. It’s definitely worth getting the bus into Corfu town - ( we also travelled to Kassiopi and Paleokastrttsa) You can buy tickets from the local shop (cheaper at €1.40 one way ) and the lady there was so helpful with routes etc or contactless from the driver. We had an idyllic stay Thank you

Do not pay extra for half board at this hotel. The food was cold everyday. Cold fried eggs, cold rice, cold everything. I have complained to our travel company but they are in denial. The rooms by the pool are unsuitable. There is no warbrobe just some shelves, the curtain rail was not fixed and fell off when pulling curtain on, the beds were so uncomfortable and the mattresses were so lumpy my husband had no sleep. The bathroom is dangerous. The curtain round the shower is too short and therfore water floods the floor when showering making it like a skating rink. I nearly slipped. There are no bath mats so we had to use all the towels to soak up the water. Pictures attached.

Ignore the negative (badly written) reviews...we had our concerns about going half board with those reviews but can honestly say we enjoyed every meal! There was always at least 3 main course choices (1 fish, 2 meat) as well as lovely fresh salads, vegetables & dips, a choice of potatoes and slices of freshly cooked pizza (a whole one could be ordered too). The house wine was fine (could be more chilled but that was remedied by asking for ice). Our room was cleaned every day, fresh towels every day (not essential so maybe adopt the used towels in the shower approach) and the sheets changed a few times in 11 days. The aircon was good, as was the fridge and the mosquito screen was very effective. The reception staff were lovely and we witnessed them dealing with difficult customers with empathy. We paid extra for a sea view room and it was worth it. The pool area was quiet and the pool was clean and inviting. We hired the sunbeds on the beach across the road a few times and it was easy to order coffees and drinks brought over from the hotel. We are definitely planning to go back next year.

Just got home from Ipsos Di Mare. Looking at some people's reviews had me worried before we arrived. I can confirm they are all rubbish in my opinion. We had a lovely stay, the staff were amazing, attentive and friendly, the food certainly was not cold. The receptionists were lovely, the cleaners very friendly and hard working, the bar staff are legends. If you expect a 5 star hotel then pay for a 5 star hotel. The pool area was great, the location of the hotel right on the beach. We loved the cheeky cats that hang around the front. Some bits need a bit of redecorating but it didn't affect our stay. We would love to come back.

Hotel ipsos di mare is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at .the front of the hotel looks fabulous but once you go up the stairs it all changes. The rooms are very basic which I don't mind but they are very dirty cramped and dated .the shower head was mouldy there was public hair in the shower and in the corners of the room my wife went to the shop to get antiseptic wipes as she didn't want to cause a scene. The food in the hotel was stale and cold when we asked why the heaters wer not on we wer told that electricity is expensive the waiters only come to you if you are a paying guest off of the street if you are staying at the hotel they don't bother with you. people that did complain wer treated with contempt the only thing I can say good about this hotel is that we are not there now . I am going to send a email to the town mayor to complain about this hotel because the actual resort is superb and hotels like the ipsos di mare give the resort a bad name
