Molivos was fantastic. First time visiting, family of 5. We all loved our week and wished we booked longer.
We stayed at Panselinos, which was great for us. Simple, spacious, comfy beds, clean apartment which cleaned everyday. Pool area was great and spotless with plenty of sun beds available. Continental breakfast fresh and plentiful. The bbq on offer by the resort on a Sunday was really delicious and good value. The staff were friendly and always ready to help wit a mini bus service into Molivos.
We also ate out at Sea horse, Gatos, octopus and captains Table, as well
as a beach bar in Petra. No complaints at any of the restaurants, all really really good.
Really enjoyed sea horse (staff friendliest and
Welcoming here- shout out to Christos👍) food great too.
Meze at Captain’s table are not to be missed, absolutely delicious- a must visit before they sadly close.
Views of sunset from Gatos are incredible, whilst again enjoying lovely home cooked Greek food (honey baked feta, particularly yum!).
Our favourite bar was Congas. Such a chilled, holiday beach bar, with amazing cocktails, music and games that the kids loved to play with us.

Kids also loved the train ride from Molyvos to Petra and also enjoyed the snorkelling boat trip.
Our youngest is 5, but was still able
to enjoy the swimming in the sea with us all, during boat trip, as life jackets were provided on request.
All in all a great week and we’d love to return in the future ❤️🇬🇷

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. The hotel has a big pool besides a very cool bar with the best staff (props to Efi and Alina) and is close to one of the best snorkelling beaches (on your right when you leave the hotel) as well as a small informal market that sells very local vegetables and eggs. We needed to work so we booked two very spacious connected apartments at a great price with big bathrooms (with bathtub!), kitchen and balconies overlooking the garden or the sea. The apartments coupled with their strong wi-fi connection make them perfect both for holidays and for teleworking. Nice breakfast in the morning, beautiful and well kept garden throughout the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes on scooter from the village of molyvos and close to the best spots in eftalou

Just returned from an amazing week in the Panselinos .From the moment we were welcomed by Alexandra on reception we felt at home
Room had lots of space ,air conditioning ,comfy beds and we had a great view so what more can you ask for .Was it ultra modern ..no but its Grece and for what we paid was perfect.Lovely pool area nice and clean and good beds.
Breakfast had a good continental choice plus eggs and omg the greek yogurt was lush.
Food during day and night was not expensive and was really good bar service excellant.

Bus to Molyvos and back was quick and handy but if your down there later than last bus at 10.30pm dont worry only 5 euro in a cab back .

Walked to Eftalou hot springs and beach around 15mins ,the hot springs are very hot ! Lovely bar just passed the springs via the rocky beach .

Loved Molyvos sooo much try the grand bleu or octopus restaurant in the harbour for amazing food and great views and Gatto in Molyvos town and in Petra try yako beach bar or mermaid restaurant just 5mins further on this island is so special ,prices are cheaper than on other greek islands.Such a greak vibe and the people are wonderful.

Try it and you will love it.

Just back from a 10 day stay at this excellent hotel just outside of Molyvos.

As others have said, if you want luxury then this isn't your hotel but if you want value for money, good service and a stress free holiday then this is a great option.

Our apartment was spacious with plenty of room for all of us and very comfy beds as well as a nice balcony.

The salt water pool is large and there are plenty of sunbeds. The bar area is nice and the drinks and food are reasonably priced. We found the staff very friendly and keen to resolve any minor issues quickly and efficiently. The breakfasts were continental with plenty of options and fresh. The Greek yogurt was particularly delicious.

The complimentary mini bus service into Molyvos was excellent and we made use of it most nights to visit this beautiful resort where there was a superb choice of restaurants, tavernas and shops.

All in all, The Pamselinos Hotel was a great find and we thoroughly enjoyed out time there.

A tad late with this review, sorry.

We decided to sneak an extra week away after being home from our annual visit to Molyvos and thought “why not?’

Soma last minute booking we got the last 2 seats on the plane. Me half way down and the better half at the front! It was interesting to go at a different time than normal and put faces to many names of folk who comment on the Facebook groups.

Last drop off by the coach but we were met and shown to our room by a very professional and polite young lady (alas, I can’t recall her name) a quick unpack and straight to the bar where the staff greeted us like old friends. Lovely.

Talking of old friends it was hilarious to see people who assumed we’d left not to return until 2024!

The pool is massive and we always got sun beds. Breakfast was worth getting up for. A minibus ran to the village each night - once as we were the only passengers the driver went and got his own car “faster and easier”

Our room was great. Plenty of space and was cleaned every day.

A few times we got back late to the hotel to find the bar still open…win, win!

We’d highly recommend the Panselinos and wouldn’t hesitate in going back.

The bar and pool are lovely. Had our dinner here once food was great. Our room was 539 one of the appertments right at the back. Sadly the cleaning let it down . Cleaning was missed once. Towels were changed every 2 sometimes 3 days. Bedding was not changed at all. When I asked at reception for towel's I was told there were none. Ants in the room. The rooms are dated. But for me the cleaning let it down

We have now stayed at Panselinos 8 times! We love the place. It's a convenient distance from the beautiful village Molyvos with a courtesy bus from the Hotel plus the local bus which goes past the front of the hotel making access easy.
The studio apartments are relatively basic but they are extremely clean and they have everything you need for a comfortable stay with air conditioning included in the price of your accommodation.
We had a first floor apartment with a balcony which had a fantastic view across the sea to a Turkey (which is only about 7km away!) and we could watch the sunset.
The hotel has a wee mini market on site which is really convenient and reasonably priced. (No big inflated prices just because it's on site!) Stratos who runs the mini market is lovely & really helpful. He is also the best baker of cakes on Lesvos and they are absolutely delicious!
The hotel has a lovely pool and bar area with comfy cushions on the sun loungers. There is no shortage of sun loungers or parasols so no towel hogging! The bar staff are also lovely, really helpful and friendly. The hotel is very multi- national which helps with the friendly atmosphere.
You can hire beach towels from the hotel for €1 so it's hardly worth taking your own. There is also free Wifi at Panselinos although it is a little temperamental. But hey on holiday it's not so important.
The apartments are cleaned daily with frequent changing of sheets & towels by the excellent cleaning ladies!
Panselinos is a fabulous venue for a relaxing and restful holiday with their friendly and helpful staff and the location is perfect for a quiet nights sleep after enjoying a superb night out in Molyvos or eating locally at Panselinos or Eftalou. Best of both worlds!
Molyvos is a stunning village with excellent tavernas whether you want beach front, cliff face balcony, harbour or village square. They all have individual attractions to make them memorable and the food is always so fresh, local and incredibly tasty.
The taverna/ bar Castros which is down the steps off the main road in Molyvos is a wonderfully traditional family run taverna. There are often 3 generations of the family on the premises and the food is not only amazing but it's extremely good value for money as well. We've been going there since we first went to Molyvos 28 years ago in 1986.
The beaches around Molyvos are stony but the local bus goes to Petra and Anaxos for €1.60 where there are sandy beaches and even more excellent tavernas.
The island of Lesvos is a little bit of Paradise and it's easy to hire a car to visit all the sights plus all the wee hidden beaches and tavernas.
Also don't forget to visit the wonderful open air cinema in Molyvos. We usually manage to go at least twice in 2 weeks.
We have been to many other Greek Islands over the years but none come close to Lesvos and we will be back at Panselinos again next year.

Although listed as a hotel this is a development of s/c studios and apts., with the option of b&b. Most of the rooms have great sea views and are quite spacious. The large pool and surrounding area are superb. Only one UK tour operator (out of 6) has an allocation here. There is a restaurant for guests not wishing to s/c., and a mini-market run by the very friendly Stratos. In a very peaceful location nearly 2 miles from Molyvos the hotel runs a free courtesy bus into town 5 times daily. The airconditioning is also FOC. There are other excellent tavernas within walking distace and the local bus stops at the entrance. The nearby beaches are stoney. To make the most of this island a car is essential. We always eat out but if you intend to cook be aware that kitchen equipment is minimal. We would not hesitate to use this hotel again.

Just booked to go back to the Panselinos my wife and i love this place so laid back and so is the island itself. THis will be our third year there. The apts are very clean and the staff are so helpfull, nothing is to much trouble. The view fro m some of the rooms are stunning and the view from the swiming pool is brilliant. You can get breakfast, lunch and dinner at the apts or about two hundred yds down the road is a very good eating hole. The drawbacks are, you need a car, there is no decent beach at Molyvos the best beach is about two mile away also there are no shops near the apts to get any food to eat at your apts. There are some great restaurants in Molyvos. My best tip is to get a car, you will need one to see this lovely island

This is the 7th year in a row that we've stayed at Panselinos apartments. This year we took our grown up kids with partners so there were 8 of us. They loved it as much as we do which was great. Staff are very friendly & go all out to be helpful. It has a great location on the road from Molyvos to Eftalou so is quiet at night. The views from the 1st floor rooms are stunning and there is very basic self catering equipment in apartments. But most importantly a fridge!
The pool is great too & this year they had new cushions on the sun loungers which made them very comfortable. Only 1 negative point is the tiled shower area by the pool as the drain is blocked so its dirty with weeds growing in it.
The apartments are all spacious with air conditioning included which is VERY welcome when temperatures go up to 38!
Next door to hotel is a wee farm where you can buy fresh melons, tomatoes, peppers onions cucumbers & eggs plus loads more besides.
The breakfast is a buffet style with plenty of choice & beautiful fresh bread every day.
There's also a hotel courtesy bus which goes to & from Molyvos 5 times a day. It all goes to make your holiday a mist relaxing experience.
I know we'll be back again.

We hired a car and drove there, it took about an hour and a half with a drink stop as I remember. It is not difficult to drive on the island and it was worth having a car to get to some of the nicest spots
