The beach is almost 1km long and is one of the best on the island. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel which provides daily bus services to Corfu Town. The apartment complex provides a calm and tranquil atmosphere. Also worth mentioning is the marvelous, spacious (1000m2) garden, in which there is a superb swimming pool. There are regular evening barbeques organised in the garden, providing guests with the opportunity to savour Greek-style mezedes (light snacks).

The apartment was located on the ground floor. It was very simple and clean
The relationship between quality and price is excellent considering the location and the period ...
The main problem was the lack of mosquito nets in the windows...... so our staying for most of time was a battle against those animals disturbing our sleeping and staying.
TV was not working and to use the air conditioner they asked us an extra fee.

We booked a weeks bed and breakfast direct through the apartments. When we arrived and asked to pay the balance (we had paid £150 deposit) Irene said there had been a mistake and that the price did not include breakfast, even though I had the confirmation email to prove it did! She said it was her brother's mistake. So, we got self catering! Irene herself was totally un apologetic and didn't offer us anything by way of an apology, however, when I emailed her brother directly, he did say we could have 2 days breakfast on him as a sorry.
I'm sorry to say that, like some other reviews on here I found Irene rather abrupt and bossy.
Other than that, the room itself was OK, although the fridge didn't shut, and on the first night the a/c didn't work, but we did get it fixed the next day. Pool area was fine, very nice bar staff.

Nice clean apartments, kitchenette with toaster, kettle. Can't comment on the breaky but the evening meals are brilliant value at about 10e and 8 for a Caraffe of med sweet white. Service is very good. There will be a note in reception on the main road (next to (Alexs Supermarket) with your name and room, a key left in your door, if arriving after 12 noon. You may have the 1st night without Aircon. Brilliant value for the price. It is quite an expensive resort, meal wise, drink wise. Nothing like Zante, Kos, Rhodes, Kefalonia. Taxi from airport was 45 E. The Greek Taverna on the left of the beach was fabulous value too. Meals about 10 E litre of wine, 8 euro. The green bus back to airport is 4.40 each! Enjoy

I used the pool and bar here while staying in apartments nearby.

The food at the bar was fab- portions were huge and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Happy to serve at tables or sunbeds

The whole pool/bar/garden area was spotlessly clean and well kept. Little toilet block next to pool was also clean with plenty of paper, soap etc .

I found other people using the pool to be friendly. I tend to keep myself to myself when travelling alone but the atmosphere here meant I was happy enough to chat to others. There was a great mix and there was the perfect balance of being able to chat but without being disturbed if you didn't want to be.

Some children at the pool some days. Staff treated everyone the same so can't see that a family holiday here would be a problem. If your children need fancy slides etc then AG would be the wrong place but if they are happy with a pool, beach etc then AG and Irene's will suit you perfectly :)

Can't comment on the apartments but everywhere I saw here was spotless and staff all polite so can't imagine the apartments would be different.

Have just returned from a week’s stay at Irene Apartments. I stayed with my mum for a last minute cheap holiday. We picked Irene’s due to location and excellent price.

The apartments are very basic, which is reflected in the cheap price. However, we found the rooms to be very clean, adequate facilities such as toaster, kettle, hairdryer, fridge/freezer and a spectacular view of the mountains.

What we enjoyed most was the very large pool and sunbed area, very relaxing looking out to the mountains and also bar area where service from Grace and Gregory was always perfect.

The apartments are a perfect location. There is a supermarket literally across the road and the girls who own it (I believe they are sisters) were so friendly and genuinely lovely people.

There is a short stroll down a small slope to the beach, passing tavernas and bars along the way and then the beautiful beach area with more tavernas along the front allowing for the spectacular sunsets.

The family who own Irene’s were always helpful and chatty, and our cleaner was always smiling. I’m not sure why the negative reviews about them. We also spoke to a lot of repeat guests which I think speaks for itself.

Me and mum had a perfect week in Agios Gordios, happy that we were able to have a holiday. Wouldn’t hesitate to return to Irene’s in the future. If you are looking for 5* luxury, this is not the place, but if you are looking for a cheap place to stay with friendly staff, clean room, great pool and great central location, then definitely recommend here.

The room was basic - you get what you pay for. The shower in bathroom was very small with no room to move around. Our toilet seat was also broken, which no one fixed even though we complained a couple of times. We had very minimalist kitchen items in our room. Towels were changed after 3rd day of our stay. Lots of insects in room (wasps, mosquitoes) which needed something to prevent this.

We paid for a superior studio, but we felt it was not worth the extra money at all. We also had to pay extra for air conditioning. We had a horrible view from our balcony. We also found Irene to be quite rude, abrupt and very unhelpful.

However, the location is perfect and close to the beach. Swimming pool was fantastic and friendly bar staff.

Booked a last min trip and Irene apartments looked like a bargain from the photos.
On entering our room there was an awful smell of damp and a dehumidifier. Room was clean and towels changed every day.
Shower was cramped and not even strong enough to wash the sand from the beach away. Air con was at an additional fee which was not stated when booking. Great area, short 5min walk to the beach and bars, although quite a big hill so not suitable for anyone that would struggle with that. We didn’t use the pool but this did look like the pictures and was very clean. Based on what I paid as a base to sleep it was okay however would definitely recommend paying a bit more and staying somewhere nicer. Had already decided this on first day however on last day with a late flight there was no where to store luggage. Bags had to be left outside reception which made me very uncomfortable. Receptionist/owner not friendly or helpful like most others in the area.

Well what a little gem this hotel is we were sceptical after reading reviews but we are well traveled and have seen the same thing about other properties on here. All I can say is go have a look and I’m sure you will enjoy it if you are a decent person. Firstly our apartment was basic as described but very clean and the cleaning staff checked on us every day to see if we needed anything and she was lovely. Second thank you to Irene and all the family for making our stay so good and being so welcoming towards us for our who stay. Third the pool and bar restaurant at this place is of beautiful quality and you would honestly think your laying in a mountain retreat the views are incredible also the food at this place is restaurant quality no matter what you eat it’s fantastic and great value! The beer is great the home made wine is spot on and the spirts and cocktails plenty strong enough.
Lastly a HUGE thank you to Gregory and Grace in the bar for some fantastic evenings keeping us entertained and making sure we had a brilliant holiday and also the reason we found new friends Neil n Marri your fond guests who return regularly as I’m sure we will do also in the future.
Thanks so much all of you it’s been our best holiday in years and that says a lot as we go 5/6 times a year so we’ll done.
Much love scott n Cathy x
Go have a look folks!!

Booked four days prior to going. Had a balcony overlooking the road on the top (3rd) floor. Was basic as everyone says but was very clean and adequate and everything worked as it should. There were no bad smells! Great location for beach, supermarkets, restaurants etc. The pool was lovely as were the staff and cocktails.

It was quieter than expected (due to Covid)
There were lots of wasps as everyone says but the whole resort had them not just these apartments and I never saw anyone get stung. I wondered if they were capable of stinging as they never stung and I had the odd one land on me.

For the price we paid the apartment was excellent And I sometimes wonder what people expect for such a budget

We booked a boat trip and the water park from a local agent that were very good

All in all great apartments

As far as the accommodation goes, it's fairly pleasant. Rooms have a good amount of space and are relatively clean. The amenities are a bit sparce and the sheets are stained but for a fairly no frills holiday it's not too bad. Wasps all around the pool area drive you a bit mad. I didnt anticipate having to take a walk to get to the pool facilities, including crossing a road so factor that in if you have little ones.
Extra surcharge for air con is a bit of a con and there are no laundry facilities despite advertising so.
Pool is advertised as a "children's pool" however all staff members were hostile towards our children everytime we were around and made us feel uncomfortable. A shame really as overall I would have returned but the general feeling toward our family whilst away was unpleasant.
