Overall the hotel is very good, staff are pleasant and the atmosphere is relaxing. The rooms are spacious, clean and well laid out. The showers are larger than most hotels in the village, ours was a bath with a shower over and a curtain. The breakfast has a good choice for food apart from a poor choice of teas available and the lack of any provision of decaffeinated coffee or tea at the hotel. This was very disappointing especially as I was advised to buy my own coffee from the local supermarket. My previous experience at another hotel in the village was more positive and the management team there bought some decaf coffee for me and brought it out at breakfast each time. We also had a bit of a struggle to obtain a kettle for the room but did acquire one eventually. The pool area is very pleasant and gardens are pretty. The gym is not really functional as most of the equipment is not working and a notice on the door stated there would be a charge of 5 Euros each time it was used. I suppose there is not really much need for it from customers on holiday, but as it is advertised on the website the equipment really should be available to use. I was trying to keep up a new fitness regime whilst on holiday for 4 weeks but could not use any of the equipment. The management team overall were helpful answering any questions we had and provided all the assistance with arranging our covid tests etc. We like the size of the rooms, the location of the hotel and will be returning next year despite the minor hiccups.

Dear guest, thank you for your remarks and kind words. We also enjoyed your company and your stay in our hotel was a pleasure for us too. We are sorry that we could not accommodate every personal need, but we do our best to facilitate most of them if possible. As for pans/pots and kettle for every room, these had to be cleaned and provided by the reception, as specified by the Health and Safety Protocol for the prevention of Covid-19. We look forward to welcoming you in our hotel again this summer. Thank you

We had a appartement, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, kitchen, 2 singlebeds and a doublebed in a seperate bedroom. All 3 the beds were great! 2 airco's wich worked perfectly even in 40+ degrees!! Very comfortable and kept clean every day!
We enjoyed the beautiful swimmingpool, had every day a fresh and complete breakfast, even with home-made Greek honey, and delicious sweets! And most of all we enjoyed the way we were taken care of by the hotel-owners. A lovely family who does everything in their power to make our stay wonderful and relaxing.
We would recommend the Aeolian Gaeae Hotel to everybody who likes to visit the island. It's a short walk to the beach, and reataurants of Skala Kallonis, and by rental-car we visited places on the whole island in short amount of time, the location of the hotel is perfect for it!

We spent a wonderful 10 days here and recommend this accommodation for anyone who is looking for some quiet relaxation. The staff are all super friendly and speak good English. On the first night we were greeted outside by the host and he made us feel very welcome. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; furniture is simple and there is a small kitchen but not really equiped for cooking. Hygiene is excellent.
The pool is really nice and plenty of sunbeds. The whole complex is rather small scale and seems to be visited mainly by young families, couples and some elderly couples.
Breakfast is included and they have a good lunch menu which is quite good and affordable. We loved the Hardy Rusk Salad! They only use their own produce and make everything themselves and you can certainly taste that everything is made with much love and care.
The walk to the village takes around 8 minutes. Skala Kalloni is a peaceful villages with a lovely beach at the bay. Swimming is excellent and we loved dining at the restaurants near the beach. No public transport available so a car is recommended if you want to see more of the island. We made two trips by taxi; again a very friendly person who picked us up from the place we went to. The drives took us along some of the most beautiful routes through the mountains and even though the taxi fare was not cheap, it was totally worth it.
Great place to visit and have a relaxing holiday!

This is our third stay and the hotel is just perfect for our holiday on Lesvos. The staff and welcoming and the breakfasts are great. This year they had decaf coffee (instant) available which was an improvement. The only downside this year was that the hotel seemed to be popular with the Scandinavians, who see it as a very cheap holiday. Because this hotel has family rooms this encouraged larger family groups and they tended to dominate and took over the whole pool area. The pool is not massive so you cannot avoid being splashed or disturbed. Previously this area had been fairly peaceful with the occasional jumping in, kids playing etc. We understand that. However there was a lot of diving, bombing and disrespectful behaviour by the adults in these groups so it spoilt the ambience by the pool. My understanding is that the pool area is now by law meant to be manned by a lifeguard following mandatory training. When we visited Pasaphae Hotel there was a lifeguard on duty and we witnessed them halting any misbehaviour in the pool very quickly.
The difficulty is that this resort is not suitable for children as there is absolutely nothing for them to do apart from the hotel pool and the beach. The best area for families is Petra which has a more lively feel and activities on the beach, whereas Skala Kalloni is more suited for relaxation, peace and quiet. This did not bother us so much as we tend to spend our days by the beach so we just had to schedule any time by the pool when the families were out for the day. Otherwise it was impossible to find a spot where you could relax and read your book. We have booked for next year as we love the spacious rooms and the hotel staff.

The family are wonderful and did everything to make our stay in Lesbos just how a relaxing Greek holiday used to be. They even sorted our the cheapest car hire for us

Very pleased with our holiday accomodation. The room was enormous and cleaned every day, aircon was very effective (temp of 40degrees during the week). The pool was a delight and the breakfast was excellent and made a good start to the day.

Very nice hotel with exceptionally friendly owner and staff. Nice breakfast and pool(bar). Rooms are spacious and well cleaned. The only thing that could be better is the shower as you need to shower in a bath and this is not very handy for taller people.

Dear guest, thank you for your review. We really enjoyed your company and staying with us in Aeolian Gaea Hotel. We really appreciate your comments, concerning the bath, and that is the reason we plan to change most of the baths next year to walkin showers, that will accommodate better both taller and older guests.

Just returned from an amazing 10 nights here. As we were dropped off we were welcomed by the family owners, who did everything to make our stay as perfect as possible from the first moment to the last. Our room was really spacious split into a large double room for us with private balcony and then a living area with twin beds for our daughters (aged 4 and 10) with a separate balcony. Kitchen area with table and chairs and modern bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Quiet pool area with loads of beds, chairs and table areas with a mix of shade and sun to suit. Lovely pool bar serving drinks and snacks (Nikki was fabulous!). The homemade tzatziki is the nicest we’ve ever had anywhere! Breakfast is incredible with an extensive choice of hot and cold items, most of which is locally sourced including honey, jams, olives, tomatoes all grown at the hotel. A short walk down to the harbour village where there are a good selection of tavernas. We loved Sampo for food and Vista for drinks - again both family owned and amazing service. Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet break, great food, amazing service, beautiful surroundings then look no further. Just don’t tell too many people - we want to make sure it’s not booked up when we go back!

We had a wonderful stay at Aeolian Gaea Hotel. The hosts George and Fokian and the staff were all very friendly and very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious with a kitchenette. The breakfast was delightful including local honey and homemade jams, loukoumades and rice pudding. We will definitely be returning.

Had a fantastic stay at Aeolian Gaea.
The family were so friendly and really accommodating, making us feel so welcome the whole week.
The rooms were spacious and extremely clean, with air conditioning at no extra charge, and mosquito screens on the doors and windows which was a huge help.
The rooms could do with a few more ‘self catering’ resources in the kitchen such as a saucepan or frying pan, and a kettle.
The pool area is lovely with beds well spaced out and a bar serving drinks and some lunch food.
Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice.
The hotel is only a short (flat) walk to a beautiful beach with a harbour and square with plenty of restaurant choice.
