Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely family run hotel. Rooms, facilities & pool beautifully clean. Nothing too much trouble. Hill leading up to hotel quite steep but we coped! Recommend if you want a quiet, restful holiday. Bus to Rethymno every half hour for shops, bars, restaurants & a different vibe!

We had a fantastic week in a wonderful family run hotel. The brothers and all of the staff in the hotel were amazing. We arrived late after midnight and one of the brothers, ‘Harry’ went out of his way to bring us some food and drink - very thoughtful and kind. The food that week (breakfast and evening meal) was outstanding. Always a fantastic selection. There is a local bus every half an hour that goes into Rethymon and takes approx 25 mins. We also hired a car for a couple of days and this was so easy to do as the second brother, Costas, called the hire company for us and they simply dropped the car off and collected it again from the hotel. The price was excellent. If you like walking/ hiking we recommend two gorges - Imbros Gorge and Mili Gorge. Both within an hour drive from the hotel. We also walked near the hotel and found a lovely route that took us through the surrounding olive groves. Do expect a long transfer time to the hotel (just over 2hrs), but it was worth it. Wonderful family run hotel, the two brothers that own it couldn’t of been more helpful. The staff were great too. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the food was great. A few shops and restaurants nearby but a short bus ride will take you to the old town. Will definately return.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. View from the room was good over the pool area and sea! Breakfast was great and the desserts at dinner were always fantastic! Enjoyed our stay here and would return. The only thing is the location - I'd recommend a hire care would be useful here but if walking is no issue, there is a bus to Rethymno every 30 mins.

We had a lovely time staying here. It’s a quiet location, with a family feel to it. The rooms were very clean and the pool was a good size. Easy to get transport to Rethmyno. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The food every night was delicious, especially the BBQ night!!! Would really recommend

The Oasis exceeded our expectations. Beautiful location, amazing view from bedroom. Room were everything you need, price was appropriate and the managers, who are brothers, were approachable and kind. The bus is every 30 minutes, easy accessible, if you fancy a trip to the city centre or one of the smaller towns. Would recommend to any couple who fancy a nice get away!

Everything was good georganiseerd. We came on sunday afternoon there was man waiting for us with welcome drink. Incheck was express. Breakfast and supper was really delicious every day you can try greeks kitchen. We make reservation via hotel for trip naar Santorini. We had bus at 6 o clock in the morning we get day before luxe breakfast for the trip. Our boat was going late we arrived late in the night. And again there was somebody wait for us with food and drinks. You can really feel hospitality and kindness of those two brothers. They are always for you. Everything you need they can always help you. Bus tickets can you buy at reception. Rooms are clean and with nice view. You have to pay extra for airconditioning but actually we use it for 2 days. Close to the beach and bus station every 30min bus to the city Rethymnon. We really enjoy stay at this hotel

I am somewhat taken back at your response to a review regarding your accommodation you offer. I was one of the persons that came to oasis that day, We told you my daughter was unwell due to having a hypo she is diabetic. We left her in a bar to recover while we came to oasis ! Our suite cases where in the car, yes we where an hour late as we got a hired car and as my daughter was not well enough to leave . I don’t believe the Tui rep took photographs of the disgusting room you showed us. We also took photos which Was emailed to Tui that day. When I rang Tui regarding us not staying at Oasis they did not argue, or questioned the reason I gave and offered us alternative accommodation . why would we book accommodation if a so called friend living in Skiathos offered us free accommodation. When I rang and told you we would not be staying at Oasis you said ok ! Did not offer us alternative room or help solve the problem. I have the receipt of payment from the accommodation we had to book lucky for us we found something. You need to be very careful stating things which are made up and not true. As for not parking the car at your apartments we could not find the entrance to Oasis despite driving around looking for it in the heat, Tui did pay towards the cost of our new accommodation so that just shows , they are aware of the poor accommodation at Oasis. I have a terminal illness and would of be at risk of getting infections if I had stayed here,

First off it was our first time to Crete so we did not know what to expect. We were dropped off at this lovely hotel and greeted with friendly staff and a welcome juice. Amazing. Throughout the stay the brothers were so welcoming and helpful. From organizing tours for us to giving us local information we wouldn’t get elsewhere. Not to mention their raki is the best we had. The hotel is lovely and the staff is even better. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are incredible and there is definitely something for everyone. We are definitely returning. Thanks guys. -Scott
