If I would have to use two words to describe this place I would use 'false advertising'. When you look up a place you see beautiful garden pool and fantastic breakfast. The rooms are meh but you think that the pool will compensate for this. But this is an illusion. When you will come they will tell you that the hotel and the pool are separate places! So basically you overpay for hotel and you cannot enjoy a pool without ordering highly overpriced food and drinks. So I recommend choosing some other place and if you want to visit the pool just do it like any other person from the street. Surely you will have superior hotel for this price and quality of your sleep will be much better without loud music until 2 am.

Lizzards in the room; a 5€ extra charge per night for air conditioning; water, juice and lemonade charged additionally along with dinner without informing in advance; impolite behaviour when a kid brought own Pepsi (took it away and brought their lemonade instead); the beach is accross a busy road and it makes about a kilometer to walk on a hot summer day; basic equipment; hard-to-use shower; poor ventilation; weak coffee, small portions of meals

It was the first time our family visited Crete, but definitely one of the best experiences regarding customer service in hotels. Very attentive to children, personel answers questions and tries to fulfill requests, always smiling and seems to be in a good mood. Rooms were really clean as well as kitchen (visible through window). The only thing is that there are not many things to do in Skaleta, so think about renting a car

We stayed here in September and were very happy with our visit. Beautiful view from the hotel room and the dining place, you can see the sunset, the sea, the mountains. The location is good (30-40min. drive with the bus to the city center, 5 min. walk to the beach and restaurants, 3 min. walk to food/souvenir shops). The staff was really friendly, helped arrange all our activities, gave good advice and helped sort out any problems we had with the tours. The food was excellent, far much better than other 2 star hotels have to offer, all you can eat buffet with traditional Greek dishes, also delicious main courses and homemade desserts from the owners family. If we ever come back to Crete, we will probably stay in this hotel. I reccomend it to every couple or family.
