We had a fantastic week in a wonderful family run hotel. The brothers and all of the staff in the hotel were amazing. We arrived late after midnight and one of the brothers, ‘Harry’ went out of his way to bring us some food and drink - very thoughtful and kind. The food that week (breakfast and evening meal) was outstanding. Always a fantastic selection.
There is a local bus every half an hour that goes into Rethymon and takes approx 25 mins. We also hired a car for a couple of days and this was so easy to do as the second brother, Costas, called the hire company for us and they simply dropped the car off and collected it again from the hotel. The price was excellent.
If you like walking/ hiking we recommend two gorges - Imbros Gorge and Mili Gorge. Both within an hour drive from the hotel. We also walked near the hotel and found a lovely route that took us through the surrounding olive groves.
Do expect a long transfer time to the hotel (just over 2hrs), but it was worth it. Julie & Mark Richardson

The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. View from the room was good over the pool area and sea! Breakfast was great and the desserts at dinner were always fantastic!
Enjoyed our stay here and would return. The only thing is the location - I'd recommend a hire care would be useful here but if walking is no issue, there is a bus to Rethymno every 30 mins.

First off it was our first time to Crete so we did not know what to expect.

We were dropped off at this lovely hotel and greeted with friendly staff and a welcome juice. Amazing.

Throughout the stay the brothers were so welcoming and helpful. From organizing tours for us to giving us local information we wouldn’t get elsewhere. Not to mention their raki is the best we had.

The hotel is lovely and the staff is even better.
The breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are incredible and there is definitely something for everyone.

We are definitely returning.
Thanks guys.

If I would have to use two words to describe this place I would use 'false advertising'. When you look up a place you see beautiful garden pool and fantastic breakfast. The rooms are meh but you think that the pool will compensate for this. But this is an illusion. When you will come they will tell you that the hotel and the pool are separate places! So basically you overpay for hotel and you cannot enjoy a pool without ordering highly overpriced food and drinks. So I recommend choosing some other place and if you want to visit the pool just do it like any other person from the street. Surely you will have superior hotel for this price and quality of your sleep will be much better without loud music until 2 am.

I am somewhat taken back at your response to a review regarding your accommodation you offer. I was one of the persons that came to oasis that day,

We told you my daughter was unwell due to having a hypo she is diabetic. We left her in a bar to recover while we came to oasis ! Our suite cases where in the car, yes we where an hour late as we got a hired car and as my daughter was not well enough to leave .
I don’t believe the Tui rep took photographs of the disgusting room you showed us. We also took photos which Was emailed to Tui that day.
When I rang Tui regarding us not staying at Oasis they did not argue, or questioned the reason I gave and offered us alternative accommodation . why would we book accommodation if a so called friend living in Skiathos offered us free accommodation. When I rang and told you we would not be staying at Oasis you said ok ! Did not offer us alternative room or help solve the problem.

I have the receipt of payment from the accommodation we had to book lucky for us we found something. You need to be very careful stating things which are made up and not true. As for not parking the car at your apartments we could not find the entrance to Oasis despite driving around looking for it in the heat,
Tui did pay towards the cost of our new accommodation so that just shows , they are aware of the poor accommodation at Oasis. I have a terminal illness and would of be at risk of getting infections if I had stayed here,

We had a lovely time staying here. It’s a quiet location, with a family feel to it. The rooms were very clean and the pool was a good size. Easy to get transport to Rethmyno. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The food every night was delicious, especially the BBQ night!!! Would really recommend

Lovely family run hotel. Rooms, facilities & pool beautifully clean. Nothing too much trouble. Hill leading up to hotel quite steep but we coped! Recommend if you want a quiet, restful holiday. Bus to Rethymno every half hour for shops, bars, restaurants & a different vibe!

Me and my boyfriend have just returned for a week stay at Oasis hotel. We have a very relaxing holiday. Family run hotel all very welcoming and friendly. When we arrived at 4am we were picked up at the bottom of the hill and suitcases taken to our room. We were given a bottle of water and juice. Lovely hotel. Very quiet considering we went in high season. Pool was lovely and clean with lots of sun beds available all day. Breakfast was 7.30 til 10am with cereals, tea coffee, pastries etc. Dinner was from 7 til 9. You help yourself to starter which was delicious salads, bread, soups, vegetables etc. They then bring the main course which is a set menu... usually meat or fish with rice or potatoe followed by a dessert. All delicious. Its about a 10 minute walk through an underpass to the beach. Again very quiet. Lovely clear blue water but no water sports. Its abit stoney in the sea so we wore beach shoes. Sunbeds were 5 euros for the day. We went on a jeep safari trip which was amazing with lunch included and time at a beach and a village. The driver was very good telling us lots of facts. We also hired a car for the day and went to lake kournas about half hour drive away. It was beautiful. A large fresh water lake in the mountains with clear shallow water to swim in. We hired a pedalo and saw turtles. Free sunbeds and carpark. The city is about 20 minutes by bus. There is a supermarket and shop about 2 minutes from the hotel and a few tavernas by the beach. We had a lovely pizza at a pizzeria. Overall we had a very relaxing holiday. The weather was beautiful. The only complaint which is no ones fault would be the noise during the day from the locusts but this noise was everywhere...even high in the mountains. Very noisy from about 5am til 7pm. There is a dual carriage way nearby but it was not noisy. There is a service road running alongside so safe to go for a walk. This holiday suited us but would not be good for people looking for a lively holiday. Good for people looking for a quiet relaxing holiday by the pool or beach.

I thought this little hotel was just lovely. Perhaps not ideal if you are someone who wants to be in the thick of the night life, but gorgeous for anyone wanting a quieter break away, 20 minutes or so out of town (it's easy to get there on the bus - 1.60 Euros either way).

The first morning, I realised that we were only a very short distance away from Crete's equivalent of the M1 and the noise meant I got no sleep after a long flight the night before. But the following morning, we paid for our air conditioning and when we shut the French windows at night, we couldn't really hear the road.

Rooms were small, but very clean. I didn't like the bathroom at all and thought it could do with a bit of an update, but I'm still giving it five stars and an 'excellent' rating because I was so, so happy with everything else.

The food was lovely and the POOL - it was just absolutely fantastic! Small, again, but maintained at a lovely temperature and floating about on my lilo, sunbathing in the pool, was just BLISS!

Lovely views over the surrounding countryside and all rooms have a view of the sea and the coast, so that was obviously fantastic, as well.

After an awful trip to Thassos some years ago, I said I'd never return to Greece again. But after my gorgeous week on lovely, beautiful Crete, in this lovely, family-run hotel, I'm feeling terribly homesick for Crete and for my beautiful pool!

Around the pool, it was nice and quiet and guests tended not to make a lot of noise. If you're wanting to live it up and party, this isn't perhaps the location to do it in, but if you're on your own or are a quiet couple or family, you would just adore it, I'm sure.

We all have different tastes, of course, but I can only say that from a personal point of view, this hotel was just perfect and beautifully quiet, and the only thing I'd change is that bathroom!
