Food, very good selection at breakfast and dinner, good house wine, awful cocktails, too sweet! Very generous Baileys!
Lunch was at the beach bar where we had great service, good food and staff that bring your parasol to the sunbed and even get drinks for you!
Beach very large and not busy. It’s a 10 minute walk across 2 very busy roads so there is an underpass or a shuttle bus which leaves both ways every hour.
The only reason I probably wouldn’t go back is because the hotel is 3 miles from the centre of town and there is nothing to do nearby and not a nice walk along the beach as it’s a main road but if you are willing to go out in cabs then it’s a good choice!
To Alanya by buses 1, 101, 2, 202 for 18 liras without any problems. In Carifura you can pay in dollars - change in lira at a high rate.
Anna works at the spa and will help with any questions. At the reception there is one Russian-speaking guy, a very nice and smiling admin. There is a bald man on the beach that really spoils the holiday experience. All the time with a sour face, getting a mattress is a whole problem, unfriendly. We took a program with “elements of manual massage”. The guy Safak did everything well, and the Thai-looking girl did everything very gently. My wife didn't really like it. Cost 60 dollars per person! Nice guys at animation.
+ excellent food. There were crayfish and red fish a couple of times. The coffee machines are good. Fruits and greens a lot. There is a pier for going into the sea (in vain we bought slippers). Fresh numbers. There is actually a 24-hour snack bar and bar. After check-out, you can use all hotel services. Nice SPA with sauna and gym next to each other.
- bald man beach worker.
- the hammam smells of stagnant water, it doesn’t smell very good
- a weak masseuse of Thai appearance.
Now to flaws.
1) Almost nobody from the staff speaks English. I would understand if they didn't speak Russian, but English! And it's an international hotel!
2) Cleaning desires to be much better as well.
a) The smoking ashtray was crashed by me accidentally on the first day. I had heard cleaning staff had been in the next room so i went to them and asked to clean up glass fragments when they will be in ours. We even left tips to be thankfull. However, when we got back to the room, some fragments were still there. And they were there till the end of our vacation.
b) Shower gel was not added in time. We were necessitated to go to the SPA administrator Anna to ask her how we can ask for it in Turkish since Anna speaks Engish, Russian and Turkish, thanks God! How you find that? You need to ASK for the shower gel in the 5* ULTRA All inclusive hotel!
c) We are not sure our shower towels were changed. Even if they were - that was done only once during 7 days. Amazing!
3) Food was pretty unvaried day to day. A 4* hotel in Egypt gave much more to us when we were there. My wife and I are not interested at alcohol, however, I noticed there were not any special. Just common label like Jack Daniels, Jameson, Jagermeister, Red label etc. Consumers goods. Is it ULTRA all inclusive? I'm not sure.
The building itself is elegant and rooms are spacious. Also, there is a great variety of food and it was really tasty. The view from our room was magnificent, mountains on one side and sea on the other. But.. the hotel doe not have a soul. there is a piano in the reception hall but they never invite someone who could play in the eveninhs :(
Starting from the begining.. what was the worst? This is 16+ hotel and we expected ADULT guests (we are 35), but except many great people we met, there were groups of Russian teenagers who completely destroyed our stay. They partied all days by the pool, (turning on their own aggressive russian music) and at nights in the hotel, completely drunk and we could not sleep for first 5 nights until 3 am. We were so tired and upset that we even wanted to change the hotel..
I understand that it does not depend on the staff who comes to the hotel, but I think they should definitely do something about their behaviour, but unfortunately, staff were serving them alkohol even during the nights, when they were so drunk and noisy. not only us, but other guests complained to the manager.
I also think that this hotel is definitely not 5 star. Majority of sunchairs and umbrellas by the pool were broken and dangerous for guests, only very few types of alkohol were served (i.e. there was no rum, sparkling wine or white vermouth during our 11 days stay and bartenders couldn't explain why, I am not talking about original alcohol but local ones - and it's "ultra all inclusive'..). Towels have been changed 2 times on my request and bed linen only once, which should not be the case in 5 star hotel, and also the quality of housekeeping was rather poor.
Bright spot - nice staff, especially in the restaurant as well as some bartenders (thank you Hayri Tok for a perfect ice coffee and being so polite :). Also, the man who is cleaning pool area does great job.
Finally, it was our (and not only our, talking to other guests from different countries) worst stay in Turkey and we definitely DO NOT reccomend this hotel to guests 30+ who likes to party but also would like to rest during their holidays.
overall the hotel is good, but it doesn’t seem worthy of 5 stars, the same food every day, monotony, by the 9th day I was already tired,
poor selection of desserts, fruits and drinks,
As for animation, perhaps it was not the season yet. but some animators walk around aloof and are not involved in their work, the evening programs leave much to be desired, Mister of the hotel, Miss of the hotel, etc., this is their entertainment, but again, perhaps it’s not the season, there is no amphitheater like in other hotels, all parties take place at the pool. there is not enough space,
As for the cleaning of the rooms, it’s generally atas, they put our things on the shelf where the safe was, they took them out from there dusty,
For 5 days they didn’t put a towel under our feet, and it happened that they put our own towels back on our shelf without changing them.
The beach is rocky, in principle, if you enter from the pier it is comfortable, but from the beach you only need to wear slippers special for rocks. otherwise you can scratch your legs.
There is a shuttle to the beach, although it takes about 7 minutes to get there.
There is a food bar on the beach. this is cool, but there is one little man there who puts out mattresses and umbrellas when you are waiting for him, he does it with a very dissatisfied face, maybe he wanted a tip or something. wait a long time for him, and I noticed that he first gives preference to the Germans and Poles, and then to ours)
There is nothing nearby, to go to the center you need to take a bus, it costs only 28 liras, it’s clear that it’s impossible to get lost :)
Hotel guides charge 3 times for excursions, we bought them separately on the Internet
for rafting for $40 per person
while the guide was pushing for $139 per person.
Wi-Fi is free only at the reception, if you want it in your room or on the beach you need to buy it, but we took roaming and didn’t bother.
They gave us a nice room with a sea view as requested, they also warned us in advance that we were newlyweds, on the 1st day they made us a fruit basket and gave us wine, on the 2nd day they made swans from towels with roses, which was very nice)
but during our vacation it was my husband’s birthday, for some reason they didn’t congratulate me at all, not at all like in other hotels, not a single bit of attention.
There are a lot of cats in the hotel, which added tenderness and comfort to the hotel stay as I love them very much🥹
In general, the holiday was good, the hotel was not bad✊🏻
After 23:00 campaign for Trips to the nearest Summer Garden Club, the prices are of course horse-drawn, and admission is 15 euros per person (but as many say for locals it is free )
It is also said that the hotel used to have its own club ,in the basement part of the building, it is very unfortunate that it was removed, as those wanting to continue the rest are huge!
Drinks according to the concept Ultra all inclusive only local, if you drink a mix of drinks, have a rum and coke it's probably less of the whole range 😁 but even then the bartenders pour you any alcohol almost full glass, and it just becomes unbearable to drink this water.
I won't say anything bad about cleaning, all 7 days we cleaned regularly,wi fi paid 3 days 7 euros - 10 days 14 euros,it catches throughout the hotel and even on the beach ,speed is very good!but with free in the lobby everything is bad even messengers ship extremely long.
About the staff I will say that there are a lot of young guys working here, all polite and sympathetic (some even know Russian well)
If they left the waiters tea, they will remember you, or by the next dinner they will have set the table for you like in A la carte.
Pools open until 6:00 p.m.
Pacific pool until 5:00 p.m.
Beach till 17:00
To the beach there is a delivery service ,but it is better to walk, the minibus heats up to the point that there is simply nothing to breathe in,and walk only 5-8 minutes, the beach also has a bar and all kinds of snacks, the sunbeds are really tired all in spots with severe wear and tear.
The sea call itself has long been rocky with stoves, be sure to take slippers for swimming, preferably not gel,the waves are strong enough we have bathed only a couple of times, the people on the beach are almost absent, all relax by the pool for obvious reasons.
If you need to go downtown ,there is a nearby bus stop number 1 will gladly take you to Cleopatra beach in just 30 lire.
Compact area.
The view from the window is beautiful.
First class food, very tasty.
The hotel does not focus on quantity but on quality, so you will eat tasty food.
The service was generally nice, especially the animators.
There are no pushy salespeople in the hotel who keep harassing you to sell you a trip or a spa.
Now some minuses...
A few drinks in the all inclusive option, the rest is paid, even mochito or pina colada, which I have never encountered in the Ultra all inclusive formula 😒
Water in the hotel is poured only from a dispenser in small plastic cups.
The bartender at the pool is very rude, with a negative attitude towards women, even impertinent.
If you want a drink, you have to order it yourself because there is no staff to bring it to your table.
No snacks or snack bar during the day, three main meals and that's it.
A party hotel, geared towards young and active people, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage 😁
The acoustics in the toilet are like in a musical theater, you can hear your neighbor's symphony perfectly 🤣
To sum up, the hotel was a plus, but I wouldn't come back again.
Went with my girlfriend. And we both had to pay for WiFi (per day) despite it supposedly being “included”. Ridiculously priced too as it was per device meaning you could be spending £20/day per person just to have internet.
Were also unable to iron our clothes as they wouldn’t borrow us the iron. Instead they’d ask you to pay for their laundry/iron system… which, again was per item (e.g €2 per t shift etc). Total scam.
Room service was poor. Food was decent tbf, but a bit repetitive.
