Spacious room, bit dated, no lift. Was up stairs a a long way to my room. Early check in is offered for £10 and my booking said to ring and inform them I was coming with a pet. Unfortunately there is no one to answer the phone. So I drove to the hotel to request an early check in, this was not well received and I was told to return at 12.0 midday but there would be no guarantee I could check in early ie before 3.0. As an elderly lady on my own with my dog, it takes me a number of trips to get all to the room so a room so far away is not easy. This is a convenient location for me to visit family so will return but would not otherwise.

Housekeeping staff were a bit keen and woke my up at 06.45 with the noise they were making.

A chair was broken in the room.

However bed was comfortable, price was good value and parking was easy

Also the service next door were convenient

Eau-de-mould was the pungent smell as we entered our room. An outdated room but the size was good, a bit like my husband to be.
Bed was comfy enough but we could not make the most of that, good job my downstairs has the ‘no entry’ sign present because the walls are so thin, you can literally hear the people next door fart.
Shower was powerful…. Just as well really as we could almost see the diseases climbing over our skin so it was good to wash them off. Thankfully the room was cheap, because we’re going to need to invest in some heavy duty disinfectant when we’re home.
I mean, it was fine. We won’t be back.

I have travelled all over the world through my life and me and my wife agreed that this was up there with the worst places we have stayed. It was no.1 worst for being a total rip off. We needed one quick night to avoid the ferry queues at Dover and the difference with hotels in France is already palpable. There are no stairs so if (like us) your family have mobility problems, you are lucky if something else is available on the ground floor... although we were unlucky as the room smelt very powerfully of mould. It was so bad that at first we could hardly stay in the room. We opened the windows wide and just about managed it. The pull out bed was so uncomfortable that some of us only got about 2 or 3 hours sleep. The bathroom was very tired, although it worked ok. The hotel had zero facilities apart from the room which was very very expensive for what we got. This wasn't a problem with the staff who were polite, but with this rip off company that only British people seem to be able to tolerate.

Lovely comfortable, enormous room with everything you need for a stopover. Some noise from people arriving/leaving during the night and all the facilities of the services on your doorstep. Be aware that the services stop serving any sort of hot meal early evening - so you are left with the choice of McDonald's or a sandwich from WHS. Maybe plan to eat before you arrive!

Got delayed by over 11 hours by the Channel Tunnel had driven 11 hours to get there( story for another site) was very late when we arrived, just after midnight. The night receptionist was very welcoming, very pleasant and very understanding. She could see we were exceptionally tired and needed a large pot of tea. She found us extra tea bags so we could enjoy more than a small cup of tea.

On getting to our dog friendly room (two dogs with us') we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room all be it a little basic. However we just needed to crash out and have a good night's sleep before a five hour drive the day after.

As an unexpected stopover it was more than we wanted to pay but all in all serviced our needs.

My Wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Days Inn nr. Maidstone and with no doubt this was the worst stay in a UK Inn/Hotel/Motel we have ever had. On arrival the outside looked nothing like the Photos uploaded here to trip adviser. Is was dirt, mucky, the walls full of pigion shiit and the paths directly in front full of blood and other stains.
The lady at reception greeted us whilst eating a sandwich (did not stop eating during check in) The corridor to the room looked like it had not seen fresh paint in 30 years of use. On entering the room we were just as shocked and dissapointed, everything grubby, stained, worn and old. In the bathroom the toilett and toilett seat stained and loose, sink and bath seals hanging out and stains everywhere. Towel rail, toilet roll holder and bin rusted. The Mattress was of the cheapest kind available and again old, worn and stained. NEVER AGAIN. Really dissapointed.

We booked to stay here for two nights, as the hotel accepts dogs, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room we had was large and cleaned to a very high standard. The only downside is the sound proofing between rooms, on the first night we were both woken at half past two in the morning by females laughing in the next room. The next evening they were replaced by a family who let their children run up and down banging doors and for some reason repeatedly turning switches on and off. Even although we had paid for two nights, we left and went to another, quieter hotel.

If you would like a problematic stay, please do come and stay here. There is NO INTERNET, contrary to the advert and posts. Don’t even bother asking to check in half an hour before 1500H, you’ll receive brunt. If you would like to feel unwelcome, this is the place for you. The only nice person who never failed to greet the guest was a gentleman who I think is part of the housekeeping Team.

I’ve used this hotel before and it’s conveniently located when I go via Dover. Previously I’ve had a double room, which has been pleasant, reasonably priced, and clean, but nothing out of the ordinary. This time, however, I was travelling with the whole family so picked the family room, unlike some other hotels I wasn’t forced into buying two rooms (which are not possible to use with two toddlers). I was expecting a cramped room with 4 beds squeezed in. Instead there was a very large room with a separated kids area, a sofa as well as a bed. Considering the price I couldn’t have hoped for more!
