We decided to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. It was a wrong decision. We arrived at the hotel at 6 pm and the room which was given to us was not clean (towels on the floor, bed was undone, etc.) . It was a very dissapointed experience. As an alternative we were given a room...

This was the second hotel that I stayed in during my trip to Panama. It's located in the rainforest on the banks of the Chagres River and just off the canal. The views here are both unique and beautiful. I spent hours in the hammock on my balcony reading and watching rain roll over the jungle and then evaporate into...

4 Jun 2012 A beautiful setting, a bit expensive, but very nice all the same. Restaurant made an error serving an evening meal for which we weren’t meant to have been charged, but the charge was on the final bill. Spoilt what should have been a lovely meal. The setting is awesome in the middle of the rainforest overlooking the...

I have been at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort for a few days for an international meeting, and was very impressed by the beauty of the natural setting that surrounds the hotel: the lake in front, and the jungle surrounding it. The view is captivating. The lake is contiguous to the Panama Canal, and one can watch the ships going by...

This hotel is a reasonable 1-hour car ride from the International Airport in Panama City. Once getting through the city, the Rainforest is so plush and beautiful. The hotel has a more traditional style, though simple and elegant. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly. Most of the staff that we talked to had excellent education in Eco tourism, which...

Good staff, except for the one who has my phone, views, excursions and rooms. Pool was great. Rooms were airy and clean. Loved the howler monkeys in the trees above the hotel. The young people who gave the tours were pleasant and attentive. The monkey island panama canal tour was very interesting. The breakfast buffet was very good, with lots...
