It is a little difficult to find this place as apparently the local council has restricted the number of signposts the owners are allowed to put up, so either try to arrive in daylight, ask for directions from the owners, or look on an internet map. In Uk terms it is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel.... More

We stayed here, with our daughter for one night at the beginning of August - we wish it had been for longer! What a beautiful chateau, in amazing grounds, with welcoming hosts. Our daughter loved visiting the chickens and sheep and playing with the kittens. We loved the great breakfast with all homemade jams, honey, cakes etc. We slept in... More

We stopped at the Chateau for a break on our long drive to the South of France and were met with a very warm welcome by the lovely Madame when we arrived; she was a wonderful host. The location, the views, the gardens, the chateau itself, everything is grand and very picturesque. Unfortunately I have to agree with other reviewers... More

Yes, it's in a lovely spot, the owners are charming, and all the food is organic; but the furniture is threadbare, the room spartan (broken shutters, cobwebs and dead light bulbs), our bathroom door did not shut, we had no hot water one day and the room was not cleaned another, and there is absolutely no WiFi except in one... It is a pity to have to write down this place because it is clear that the owners have put a massive amount of time and effort over a number of years in restoring this beautiful chateau. However, our experience shows that there is still a long way to go to make it an acceptable stopping place. We were 2... More

We stayed for one night breaking up our family return trip to Calais. We had the Marie Antoinette Suite with adjoining rooms on first floor - spacious with beautiful countryside views. The owners have systematically restored this chateau over the last 15 or so years. The incredible roof structure which is totally for show and has no practical use is... More

Only the distant noise of tractors raking in the harvest to bother you. Exceptionally quiet otherwise with nothing to do but relax and breathe in some French aristocratic history. Not much to do except relax.

This is an amazing place; beautiful chateau and lovely hosts. The dinner is not to be missed! The countryside in this region of Normandie is very good for hiking, and Chateau de Villers is a perfect option for those who are heading towards Brittany or the Channel.

This lovely 16th century chateau, which our hosts have spent 15 years restoring, hidden in the country. Very friendly welcome, large double-glazed room on first floor with great views over the countryside. Dinner was a fixed menu with no choice including many products from their extensive gardens. It made a great stopover on our way home from the South of... More
