I heard of this place from a friend and I was not disappointed. The pub is very quirky with the decor having a vintage/old world look with a hint of an Alice in Wonderland feel. Whilst the beer selection (draught) wasn't massive they did have a great range of good tasting beers such as Brooklyn lager. They also had a...

We had heard great things about the Wild Duck and weren't let down. A super (but be warned, not cheap!) Sunday lunch in lively decorated surroundings. Great selection of drinks, great menu and attentive service.

Excellent food, great family meal. lovely crab for starters, steaks and pies for mains. Only downside a bit pricey and once you move away from the fire a bit chilly on a winters day! Staff were great though and bought us over a heater to warm us all up!

We booked last minute following the good reviews and it was a great choice, highly recommended it! It is a lovely countryside pub with nice atmosphere, good ales, very good food and a nice fireplace. The squid as a starter was good but the mains to follow were excellent. Local fish and chips - a big portion with homemade like...

I went to the Wild Duck with some friends for an evening meal yesterday and the food was lovely so no complaints about that but unfortunately the service was not good especially towards the end. They told us it was last orders at 10:30pm which we were all very surprised. We assumed at first that they just wanted to clear...

Average food Poor service (£24.00 added to the bill with 2 staff running the whole restaurant gives very little service!) The drinks are just day light robbery... It's a pub not a london restaurant! Unless this PUB pulls its socks up we won't be returning soon...

Very , very disappointing. This pub was selected because of good reviews. Poor lighting, we had to move because they tried to squash 12 of us on to a table that would only comfortably seat 8. This had been booked since September so there was no excuse. I have to say the food was very average. I ordered plaice, what ever...

We wanted to treat family with a meal out to say thank you for helping us. We decided a Sunday lunch would be a good choice. The pub is lovely and quaint, looked packed with history. A bit tatty around the edges but this added to its charm. Starters I would say we're good. Each having something different they all...

We were recommended this pub for lunch following a visit to Highgrove and had a great lunch off the bar menu, thoroughly recommend the fresh crab on sourdough toast and also the beer battered whiting, fries and homemade tartar source, served perfectly hot, very tasty and well presented with excellent service. Delightful staff and good value definitely worth going out...

We were staying at Lower Mill Estate for my husband to go fishing and knew the Bakers Arms in Somerford Keynes was hit and miss so on recommendation from the tackle shop tried the Wild Duck in Ewen for a pint to sus out the food. Beer is beautiful - there's a wonderful selection, and food is very good as...
