Enjoyed tremendously the ski week in this great family hotel and without hesitation have booked the next year already.
This hotel has everything required for the perfect ski vacation!
Stunning views and location allows to be at the slope 5 min after your breakfast and even make easy break mid day if needed. Renting the ski equipment is available 2 min walk from the hotel if required.
Rooms are clean and comfortable to the highest standard.
Variety of fresh and delicious food meets everybody’s taste, wine list is extensive and diversified.
Wellness area has everything you may need after ski day and even more.
Service team is efficient, reliable and multifunctional happy to respond to customer question or request. Same people meet you year after year.
Family managent is always present and visible making the hotel and environment “sweet home”.
So, from my experience it is the ideal place for ski vacation and I sincerely thank Fender family for creation of this excellent infrastructure and environment!

Definitely better than many 5 star hotels I've stayed at. Right in front of Hochsolden, with 270 degree views seen from the rooms, rim flow swimming pool, and panorama sauna.

Vast wellness area includes multiple saunas - varying in temperature and humidity, steam and infrared room. Heated swimming pool has indoor and outdoor sections, with massage jets and a hybrid jacuzzi. The 5 and 6pm panoramasauna sessions with charming Angelo Auer make for an excellent, relaxing end to the day, where one listens to their body and enjoys the magical incence and heat!

The staff are engaging and very forthcoming to make things just the way you like. Food is of a very high standard with a unique 6 course dinner every evening.

The hotel is conveniently situated at 2100m, which is already half way up the slopes of Solden, making for easy ski in, ski out access, and avoids the busyness and sometimes slushy slopes lower down in Solden. It is reccomended that one utilizes the humidifier, as this altitude can cause headaches and very dry throats.

Well done to the Fender family for regularly renovating the hotel, as seen in the new skybar on the top level which makes for a wonderful atmosphere after dinner for drinks. I would love to see it used more often, maybe for tea snacks in the afternoon? It would be great to have more wellness facilities in the textile (non - nude) area, as this isn't suitable for families or visitors from countries where this isn't the norm.

Looking forward to coming back soon!

Dear JordanW2151, thank you very much for your kind, honest and detailed feedback. It is a pleasure to read that you had an enjoyable stay with us. We are more than happy to forward your comments to the responsible people and departments. We wanted to create a relaxation area for all of our guests in the wellness area, but were limited by the space. We know that the non-nude sector could be expanded, but we - like the majority of our guests - are generally satisfied with this solution. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon again at the Schöne Aussicht! Best regards Family Fender and the Schöne Aussicht team

My family and I were treated to one of the best stays in a Hotel we have ever had. It wasn't just the stunning location, the well appointed bedrooms, the amazing Spa, the superb menu that made this hotel such a treat to stay at. The staff were amongst the best I have come across. From the housekeeping team right up to the Resident Manager Sabine the staff were courteous, friendly and genuinely interested in making sure our stay was superb.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we were provided with a 6 course gourmet meal that even my fussy teenagers couldn't fault. After dinner on Christmas Day we joined the Wine Sommelier to sample some of the extensive range of wines that are kept in their Cellar. This became a bit of an international party as the clientele really do come from all over the world. Speaking of the Sommelier, what a charming, amusing and very knowledgeable man Benjamin is.
Would I go back here? Yes, in a heartbeat. In fact my husband and I are planning a visit in the summer. Congratulations and Happy New Year to the team.

We spend last week of January in Schöne Aussicht hotel. Expectations were high, but the hotel even exceeded them. The staff was very helpful during the week (special thanks to Holger and Sabrina). The quality of dinners was very high and we really looked forward every course. We also recommend the wine tasting. We really consider coming back to this lovely hotel!

This is the second year in a row that my husband and I have spent our annual ski week in Hochsölden. Last year we stayed at the neighbor hotel, Hotel Alpenfriede. Hotel Alpenfriede was great and I also gave it a 5* review, but I would only book a room there again if Hotel Schöne Aussicht was completely booked. This hotel just takes the goodness of Hotel Alpenfriede and amplifies it to a different level.

LOCATION: First thing to note is that Hochsölden sits at about 2,000m and the handful of hotels there are ski-in/ski-out. They sit right on the side of the mountain and you can watch the skiers coming down the runs next to the hotel. You can literally walk out of the ski locker, ski down to the base at Sölden and take the lift from there, or ski down to the small wooden lift a couple hundred meters from the hotel. Hochsölden (translates to “High Sölden”) is a small, quiet village, yet equipped with its own sport shop for rentals and such. It is perfect for a relaxing and romantic time with EASY access to the slopes and views that are second to none .

Now on to a detailed review of the hotel. There are some little things that just take it up a notch that the hotel should be commended on. They are unexpected and just add that special touch to the experience.

THE LITTLE THINGS:
-Warm greeting by “bell boy” and luggage assistance to the room.
-Glass of champagne offered at check-in to kick-off the vacation.
-Friendly receptionist walked us to our room while explaining meal times, spa times, the layout of the hotel, etc. (since it was our first time there)
-Humidifier in the room (really helps prevent dry nose and throat).
-Juicer and fresh orange juice press at breakfast.
-Assortment of teas and nuts in the spa area.
-Top notch customer service (onsite and pre-arrival).

WELLNESS/SPA AREA: I would give this 10 stars if I could. This is one of the reasons we decided to try this hotel instead of going back to last year's and it didn't disappoint. They completely remodeled and added on to the hotel during the off season. The spa area is huge, absolutely amazing, and is included in the price (except massages, of course).

For people coming from cultural backgrounds where going naked in a sauna is unusual, you will be happy to know that one sauna, one relaxation room, and the pool are all swimming attire required areas. The naked area is completely separate and has a minimum age limit of 16, so couples can relax in peace without disturbance from children.

It is truly the best spa area that I have ever visited at a hotel (and actually even outside of a hotel). Major KUDOS to the owners for having an amazing vision that translated into an incredible renovation!!!

MEALS: Your table is reserved for the entire length of your stay, so you just go back to the same table for every meal. If you order bottles of water or wine, they are stored for you if you do not finish them and brought back the next day.

They have a wonderful breakfast selection, including a variety of breads, rolls, and pastries, a made-to-order egg station, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, and traditional Austrian breakfast meats (thin slices of hams and such).

They offer a skijause from 3:00-5:00 (a mid-afternoon snack after getting off the slopes) and it is pretty filling, such as käsespätzli (something like fresh made mac and cheese) and hearty soups with an assortment of little cakes.

Dinner is a five-course event and you will be surprised to find it is more like a gourmet meal, which is something to be expected at 4-5* Austrian ski hotels. The menu changes daily and they always offer 3 main courses (a meat, a fish, and a veggie). However, they also have a small constant menu that doesn't change and you can select from that menu if you do not like what is being offered for a given day. The constant menu has items such as various pastas and schnitzel. You can even elect to order an ice cream dessert from their Moevenpick menu.

The owner is a certified sommelier and his wine cellar houses more than 400 different wines. You can’t miss the wine book – HUGE!

An unbeatable location with stunning views, wonderful customer service, a warm and friendly atmosphere, a relaxing wellness area, outstanding meals, plus all the little touches = PERFECTION! WE WILL BE BACK!!!

We stayed 5 nights for a 4 days skiing trip in Soelden. This is by far one of the best skiing trips we had. The hotel is FABULOUS! Exceptional clean and cozy rooms. Modern design but still cozy you would expect from an Austrian mountain hotel. Fantastic Wellness area that we used every night after our day skiing. Every room has a separate locker in the basement for your gear. From there easy access to the slopes.
The food ist very good. The staff is very friendly and we enjoyed every minute in this hotel. The Skybar is fantastic, too.
We had the pleasure to attend a wine tasting with the owner Erwin Fender. Highly recommend this, we learned a lot here. His wine cellar is huge. There are inexpensive, moderate and high end wines available. All his personal recommendations we had were excellent.
However, what I liked the most is the way the owner, his family and staff are treating every guest: so welcoming and so nice. We felt at home the minute we arrived. We stayed our first time, but will be back next year. Most guests are regulars, families, couples, all ages.

It is a fantastic place, family run and excellent facilities.

Thank you very much to the Fender Family, we had a marvelous stay!

We have been skiing all over Europe but have been here for the 3rd time this year which is actually a recommendation by itself.

Shoene Aussicht does honor it's name and most important of all we have been pampered by the kind and professional hotel staff to the highest extend. The hotel is getting better year over year because the owner has a good drive and vision over where he wants his hotel to grow into and makes improvements and upgrades step by step and that is working.
This is a boutique hotel where the guests are central to everything the staff does and that works for us and makes us feel at home. I have not experienced anything better at any winter sports holiday.

The rooms are not all similar with respect to decor and this year we ended up in a room with beautiful Panorama view having a more Austrian traditional decor. Rooms are not very spacious but also not tight and offer all sorts of comfort. There are newer decor rooms which are better to what we like but these do not offer the views. In all of them you will find good comfort levels though but there is something to choose from. Rooms are tidy and clean.

Breakfast is extended and of good quality. This hotel can be proud of the dinner quality served; it is just excellent with a good spread of creativity, modern all the way back to traditional Tirol preparation. All will pass over the days. It is just too much to mention but there are many options every day for Vegetarians, fish and meat lovers alike. The hotel owner takes pleasure in collecting and drinking wine is a recognized 'sommelier' and that is reflected in the choice of wines ranging from modern to old wine countries.

The hotel facilities, such as outside terrace, bar, sauna and storage for outdoor gear are just good for the purpose. I would certainly recommend the optional indoor parking facility because you just do not want to dig your card out of the snow at the end of a week of winter sports.
Of course a ski holiday is more than the hotel alone; but the ski area of Solden is really excellent and truly on the door step of the hotel; ski-in-ski-out; and of the best quality one could wish for and not too busy. I have not been here in the high season tough.

The location of the hotel is up the mountain and there is no disturbance of any Apres-ski place at all. They are mostly downtown Solden which is a 5Km drive down. That is a personal preference. My youngsters did use my car to get there.

All in all Schoene Aussicht has found the brilliant mix of staying boutique, having the nicest of staff with a good professional focus (guests) and offers top class food and wine. Prices are a bit steep but competitive in this region; but sometimes pricing does not matter too much pleased as we were with our stay again.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone; you will not be disappointed. Go here!

This hotel sits above the city at the end of a narrow winding lane. As you get nearer, the excitement builds: what must be up here?

Excellent meals. Goulash and noodles was terrific. Meat so tender. Generous breakfast with a wide variety of breads.

Rooms are very clean. Staff is kind, helpful, and speaks impeccable English.
