Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had booked this resort for a looking at the pictures online but when I reached there is was shocking.. Rooms were small and dark. Barely any people around. And the worst was the flowing sewer water. I could not bear the smell and has to leave within a hour of check in.... It was just aweful

I had visit this place with my colleague on my official tour to Kandy area as a night staying. Staff are very friendly. They try to do their best to keep us happy. Owner also a friendly person. If you need food they can cook for you, But only limited choices. However taste is good. Very close to Peradeniya Garden. I am planning to visit again on my next official visit to Kandy, If I have to stay night

We only stayed here for one night after being given a leaflet by someone at the train station. We were just looking for something simple as we were waiting for a train the next day. We're very happy with basic accommodation but the leaflet was false advertisement. It is not 'paradise' or a 'resort'. I know it's not their fault but there were cockroaches in our room and bathroom which wasn't pleasant. The wifi only working if you went and sat near reception, not actually in the rooms and we weren't given any bedding despite asking twice. In the end we actually went and found some ourself. However, the staff were friendly and did manage to do a load of laundry for us very quickly which was much appreciated.

We visited the temple of tooth relic and stayed in this place to relax before we head on to colombo It is worth for the money you spend.very cheap.it is not a hotel and not good for overnight stays. We were there for about 5 hours and had lunch. Lunch also worth for its price. You cannot expect the facilities of a 5 star hotel. But if you need to have a rest for a couple of hours, this is the best place for it rather than wasting money on an expensive room in a five star hotel. The staff also was very helpful.

Pre booking hotels by travel guys means gettin rooms in 3 stars.. And Paradise resort is not even a standard hotel and I was booked in it.. It's a shady dingy place with nothing good about it. It has wifi which doesn't work in rooms. It has Tv which has no channels. It has bad pink coloured toilets with uncleaned sinks. It is full of mosquitos.. It's close to main road where I would take buses to commute from. Food was terrible. Only breakfast provided was bread butter an an egg. On requesting for other options, I and other guests were denied an were given the same.. The only good thing of the hotel for me personally was Samantha, he looked after the hotel. He helped me with travel tips, made me comfortable and always smiling, cheerful.. and the service boys Sumit and Sudda who were on their toes for me.. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.. For standard also it's bad..

I have visited there in may and I got budget room and I stayed 2 days. it was in walking distance from 'Gatambe' junction. Hotel staff is not very friendly. Before visit the hotel, I have discuss the rates of the rooms over the phone few days back but when i visit there, they were given me some higher prices and ask me to pay more. I didn't went to bargain but I clearly said that, we have agreed some price over the phone and I cannot pay more. But they didn't agree on that and when I tried to leave for another hotel only they agreed to give me the room for previous prices.

Sadly disappointed when we arrived, dark, dingy and not what i would call clean. Couldn't bring ourselves to stay here so forfeited two nights and accommodation and went elsewhere. The manager was not understanding and wouldnt consider any sort of refund. Always pays to read negative reviews first!

I visited this place with my wife and we stayed one night there. Really nice place with friendly people. Worth for the price. Situated in between Peradeniya and Kandy. Not much faraway from the main road. Road to the hotel is narrow and sloppy, but you can drive there safely. We didn't get a meal from there, so I can't comment on the foods. Environment is calm and quite. We hope to go there again if we are planing to stay in Kandy once again.
