My short visit to Sango was one of the best I've ever had to africa. The friendly staff and amazing accommodation are just a few of the highlights. The flora and fauna are plentiful and the weather was also wonderful. I went on my own, but it is well suited for couples and family as well. The rooms are individually and uniquely furnished, each with their own style. There is a gym and a pool overlooking the Makore river.
My family visited Sango Lodge and had an amazing holiday. This place far exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms were spacious and absolutely stunning. The warm lighting and African Decour was absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed eating at the large round table in the dining room and Cleo, the manager, made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding and the views from the pool area were breathtaking. We were told our guide, Andy Smith, was one of the top guides in Zimbabwe and I believe he is. He knew the names of every bird, plant, and tree and we felt very safe exploring the abundant wildlife on the Save Conservancy. He got us up close with elephant, giraffe, sable, zebra, and many other species and we learned so much. I highly recommend Sango lodge and hope to return one day.…
Sango Lodge is amazing and breathtaking. Only four Cottages and a tented Camp some 30 Min. away on this huge property makes you feel like this is your own private jungle. No artificial waterholes with tourists waiting in line to see the animals, nine habitat zones with swamps, forests, gras and rivers let the animals roam free in pure and untouched nature. The Lodge is very well managed and the service is outstanding. Tsana and Matthew, Manager of the lodge, convinced me with their sustainable concept and localism preferring products from Zimbabwe and cooking a variety from traditional meals to vegan specialities. My Cottage (the Suni) was beautiful arranged with typical African art, a big patio with bbq and outdoor shower. The meeting point is the big lapa with the pool and the cozy sofas where you'll meet the other guests around the fire place. But the best was the walking safari with David Goosen, the genreal manager of the conservancy. He showed me tracks of Rhino, chameleons in trees, Buffalo walking the bush. It was amazing and scary at once. During my stay at Sango I learned a lot about wilderness, its animals and the challenge to run conservancy. Thank you guys at Sango!…
I have just spent a weekend at Sango Wildlife Lodge. It was is pre-season. Weather was great, some rain, and sun and not too hot. Wildlife everywhere! There are only 4/5 rooms in the main lodge so it is nice and personal. I was there with the owner and staff. Great weekend.
