We have not been in Austria for years. Preferred Switzerland. But a daughters and our son in law said we could join them to Gargellen, Voralberg near the Swiss border, were they had selected a good hotel called Madrisa. Well indeed, this hotel is a real gem. Wonderful food, classic jugendstil architecture, very well run and family owned. All who go there will inevitably return to this welcoming, extremely well run and comfortable hotel. Unfortunately we had booked our room somewhere else, where we were less than happy, but were stuck there. We wished we had discovered the charming Madrisa Hotel earlier! But at least we were able to dine there every night and were treated by their lovely staff to delicious meals and felt like in Austrian food heaven. The bar greets you...
