We absolutely loved our visit here. Lisa is a warm and gracious host who went above and beyond to insure we enjoyed our stay. Her breakfasts were unbelievable. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. This was the best experience we’ve ever had and we have traveled extensively. We are planning a return visit.

Lisa was an excellent host who went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect . La Residence is a beautiful and grand house and the room was large and very comfortable. We had the room with the terrace which was very peaceful, completely private and relaxing . Our plentiful and fresh vegan breakfast was so tasty and was served looking into the garden . We were on a Vegan cookery course just a few doors away and Lisa was kind enough to let us use her kitchen to heat the food we took away each day. There is use of a fridge and the toiletries supplied were all cruelty free.

What an amazing find! We know Saint Antonin well (our happy place!) and have usually rented a cottage, but this time had just four days here in this beautiful house and can’t recommend it highly enough. We arrived early (by motorbike) and as it was 32 degrees, decided to call and see if we could leave our helmets and jackets. Lisa greeted us and couldn’t have been more helpful. We had the ‘blue’ garden room on the second floor at the back. A really lovely room, so tastefully furnished with a beautiful mirror and Matisse prints. It also had a very comfy bed and crisp white linens. Breakfasts were delicious and varied and always with one of Lisa’s cakes or biscuits to die for! Our first night we had a cheese and meat platter and a bottle of rosé all set out beautifully on the terrace. Do try this - it was amazing. We did not meet Richard but Lisa was always there if required and a lovely hostess she is too. We felt privileged to stay in this beautiful house…

Top lodging in every way! The house is tastefully decorated, immaculate and perfectly located. The spacious garden out back affords guests unexpected privacy and a delightful breakfast venue. And the breakfasts were simply outstanding - fresh, graciously served and prepared with care. Lisa the host couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating. We have had an excellent stay at La Résidence in Saint-Antonin Noble Val. Lisa and Richard are perfect hosts. The abundant breakfast is home made and varies everyday. We were able to eat in the lovely garden. The house is located in the ancient city centre where you can enjoy a nice stroll in the evening. We were lucky to have the room with the private terrace which was perfect to relax in the morning. We made various walking trips in the beautiful nature around the village. Some nice restaurants are in the neighborhood. Thanks again Lisa and Richard. We would love to come back another time.

Run, don’t walk, to book a room at the delightful La Residence. Lisa and Richard are the kindest, most helpful hosts. We stayed in the Terrace room. It is very large and airy, with a comfortable bed and great pillows. The terrace is a little sanctuary with glorious views. The perfect spot to sit with a drink and a book. The guesthouse is immaculately clean. The linen is crisp and fresh. Breakfasts are homemade, delicious and filling. St Antonin is a beautiful medieval village, with plenty of history to explore. There are several great little restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. We highly recommend La Residence. It is a truly wonderful place to stay.

La Residence is the perfect place to base yourself for visiting this region of France. For a start, you have the most hospitable of hosts who will do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay but are in now way intrusive. We were welcomed with a cold bottle of local wine and some excellent chocolates. The breakfasts are more than enough to set you up for the day with fruit, yoghurt, granola, a cake or biscuit, bread, cheese, and pastries. You are also provided with an on-line guide to the B&B as well as very useful information about St Antonin Noble Val and surrounds. Parking is easier than you might think. Put Place du Bessurel into your GPS and you are a short walk of maybe 100metres from La Residence. If you need help with luggage, Richard and Lisa will help. If you want to explore the town, turn right from La Residence and walk up rue Droit and you are near the local cafes, restaurants, shops and the tourist bureau. The region itself is a little off the major tourist beaten tracks so you are much more likely to have an experience of French home cooking, be able to spend time in a 1000 year old Abbey without crowding and taste local wine from a genuinely enthusiastic local wine maker. The rooms are extremely comfortable and you will be told if your bathroom (which is private, exclusive and lockable) is just outside your bedroom door. If you sleep au natural, there are lovely robes available to ensure your dignity. If climbing stairs is hard for you, let Lisa and Richard know. Having a garden attached to the house was delightful as was meeting Lisa and Richard’s two cats. Personally I liked and approved of the approach to being more environmentally friendly with towels and linen being replaced every four days. You receive genuine hospitality in a very beautiful and perhaps under-appreciated region of France. Do yourself a favour, go and stay at La Residence.…

We spent three days at La Residence in late May, and had a wonderful, comfortable stay with two absolutely perfect hosts - Lisa and Richard. We had the room with the private terrace, which was just perfect for reading, sunbathing, and having an al fresco lunch. The room was beautifully furnished and decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The breakfasts were outstanding - good coffee, yoghurt, fruit, croissants, juice, etc, but. in addition, there was always a separate dish of Lisa’s homemade delicacies, like mini herb omelette, tiny avocado or mushrooms on toast, cheese, and a sweet item.
