Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had to travel to Cardigan for business, had an early morning meeting today so traveled down yesterday. We arrived slightly early for our check in slot and after a quick call to see if we could check in early we were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and accommodating.
We were in room 6, a twin room, which had very recently been redecorated very tastefully. The room was very clean and amply stocked with tea and coffee making supplies, also a nice touch in these COVID times as they are not permitted to sell alcohol, wine glasses were supplied.
Due to the COVID-19 measures in place we had to have our meals in the room. Both of our choices for the evening meal was were well presented, with very generous portions and superb quality, so tasty that we both ended up eating more than we normally would. Breakfast was also excellent and once again very generous portions which after the large evening meal we struggled to finish.
The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. All in all great value for money, we would recommend this hotel to anyone and plan to visit again ourselves next time we are in the area.

We stayed for 3 nights here at Flambards Hotel and had a great time. This B&B is run by a lovely couple who were very attentive to guests requirements. We stayed during the Covid restrictions and were so impressed with the organisation. Breakfast could be served in the dining room, outside at the covered tables or in the privacy of your own room. We tried both the continental and full English options and couldn’t fault the food or the service.
There is a bar downstairs for guests which is open till 8 o’clock in the evening, would have been great if it was open just a little later for guests that have been out sightseeing all day.
The rooms are fairly basic, with a comfortable bed, extra blanket provided if it’s chilly. Good size bathroom with a powerful shower. The room was clean and with beautiful views.
This hotel was a great location if you want to go and visit Snowdonia National Park in the North all the way down to The Pembrokeshire Coast.

Mac and Paulette are not only lovely people, they genuinely go above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome & have everything you need. They are busy yet still take time to chat about your day or your plans, take interest and advise if you need.

The location is beautiful, the whole B&B is immaculate, the breakfast and food is like nothing else we have had before. Our stay was two nights and action packed with castle visits and dolphin spotting (so many dolphins on the NewQuay peer to see). The morning breakfast filled us right through until dinner.
Under current Covid issues these guys have it all covered and at no point were we uncomfortable in any situation. Massive thank you for the cake for Lilly’s journey home... I wish I could bake so well. We will definitely be returning ASAP!!!!

We booked as a family with 4 double rooms booked. I made the booking by phone which was really easy and received a great price for 2 nights B&B. The family have stayed at Flambards plenty of times before but this was the first time with the new owners. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. All COVID cleaning measures in place. There's a great lounge area to sit in with comfy sofas, board games, books etc and evening meals offered as long you give an hour's notice. There was a plentiful breakfast offering with continental or full english. We tried both between the group and were all really happy with the quality and service. I definitely recommend it.

Responded 8 Nov 2021
Oh dear, sounds like it all went wrong. we are very sorry this happened to you and can only say that this is not a true reflection of Flambards. Can I assure you that as you did not arrive the company was not charged and we are taking positive steps to ensure situations like these do not occur in the future.

Lovely place, plenty of safe parking. The owners Mac & Paulette could not have been better hosts, Breakfast was the perfect start to the day, all cooked fresh and delivered to your table. We asked if we could have a family evening meal as our children and grandchildren were also local, everything again was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it. Our room was spotless and of a good size. Mac & Paulette are not just running a business, they are like a family to their guest's. The hotel is also dog friendly, which would be a bonus to many.

We stayed here for 3 nights when we went to Wales for a family wedding, and what a wonderful place it is. The hotel is in a lovely peaceful village, but not far from many local attractions. The owners are all extremely friendly and welcoming, the entire place is spotless, from our well equipped and comfy room to the cosy lounge area and dining room. There is also a lovely outdoor area for relaxing. Some family members joined us for dinner there one evening, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the sizzling steak experience , lovely tender steak and great fun to cook! A big thankyou to all the team. We will be back, and also will recommend Flambards to family and friends. Thankyou very much.

We had a 3 night stay here and chose the hotel because of the location being walking distance from family living in Wales. The room was clean and comfortable and cleaned daily. Bottles of water provided which was nice. I loved that the breakfast times were staggered which ensured your breakfast was made hot and fresh without having to wait long at all. Staff were lovely. Would definitely return.

This is a small beautifully decorated family run hotel & restaurant, in a fabulous location just 1 minute on foot from the river Teifi . We had a very pleasant few days here & will definitely be recommending to family & friends . The family can’t do enough for you, they are excellent hosts . The rooms are suburb and very well appointed. There is a lovely decking area & garden to enjoy a meal or glass of wine . Plenty of car park space & it is also dog friendly . Breakfast is everything you could wish for and the meals in the restaurant are excellent . The location is great for visiting attractions around Cardigan , beaches, the Dyfed shire horse center & many more, plenty of nice walks around too . Would love another visit here .
