Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed with friends for a relaxing catch up break. The hosts were amazing and made us feel so welcome and at home. The house is beautiful and very clean in a lovely quiet location. Had the best nights sleep as the bed and bedding felt so luxurious and soft. Breakfast was very well catered for and delicious. Would love to stay again

We are a family of 6 and David (owner/host) was so very accommodating. We were last minute and he set us up beautifully in his largest room. We all had our own beds and space to spare. Lovely, quiet location. Newer home. Room was clean and comfortable. David was a wonderful host. He took time out to chat with us and was always available. He provided a full Irish breakfast and more for all of us. It was very affordable. We actually felt we got way more than what we paid for. David was very kind and gracious and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Arrived at cottage earlier than expected but quick call to David and he was able to advise how to get into the cottage. David and his father are both lovely people, house is lovely and you will feel right at home. As weather was so good we walked into Hillsborough, took us 15 mins on a lovely walk for dinner in The Parson's Nose, which was just ok but it was good to get out to restaurants again. Breakfast was cooked by David's dad, sorry I didn't get his name and the cooked breakfast was superb. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area. Thank you once again.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Dunhill Cottage with my 2 dogs. Such a joy to be able to stay somewhere really lovely with my 4 footed friends. Great little walk for the dogs in the morning on the farm. We're vegetarian and David provided a yummy cooked breakfast every morning with fresh coffee. Rooms and bathrooms were perfectly clean. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area. Great WiFi and ample parking. On a farm so zero road noise.

David and his Dad Billy couldn't have been more helpful. The room was spotless with a really comfortable bed and we had a perfect night's sleep. The full Irish breakfast was delicious - including the famous Ulster potato cake and soda bread. We loved the charming, friendly town of Hillsborough and found it a great place to base ourselves before heading up to the Northern coast. We'd be happy to stay here again.
