We are on a cycling trip of parts of Brittany, and we are SO glad we included St. Cadou/Sizun in our itinerary! We got to Kergudon and were greeted warmly by Ben and his sweet dogs! Their location is lovely and quietly in the country, and Ben and David are perfect hosts - and David is a wonderful chef...we had...

A warm welcome awaits you from Ben and David in this tranquil and pretty rural region. The Hayloft is extremely well equiped and of very high quality and the welcome box of goodies is fabulous. The garden is fabulous for dogs and humans alike and Ben works so hard in it. He always takes the time to have make sure...

There are not enough words to describe this fabulous place. Perfectly managed by Ben and David, it is most welcoming, clean and as cozy as can be. Full service is available, just ask the tenants!! We have been staying at the Priory unit: great decoration and home away from home within a couple of hours!! Words do not do it...

A very welcome return to Kergudon following our first visit in 2015. The changes made since last year are really noticeable, Ben and David have worked exceptionally hard to ensure their guests experience a delightful holiday. Each gite has their own secluded garden and there were times during our stay when we didn't need to venture out but stayed and...

We have just enjoyed the most wonderful, relaxing break with our two teenage sons. We were met on arrival by the kind and generous Ben & David, who couldn't do enough to make our stay a very memorable experience. Spotlessly clean, well equipped house with a luxury welcome basket full of French products on our arrival. It was one of...

After a very long drive over from Arras (we'd been to the Somme commemorations at Thiepval the day before) we were very glad to arrive at this well-appointed gite with dinner pre-booked! We were welcomed by the owners, Ben and David, and their spaniels Garratt (who is anyone's new best friend if they'll throw a ball across the lawn and...

Everything that previous contributors have said is spot on. So is the owner's website which is one of the most accurate I have ever read and contains no wide claims; just he perfect truth. We spent Christmas 2015 at Kergudon and were blown away by the quality of the accommodation, the location and, particularly, by the boys' hospitality. Ben & Dave welcomed us with open arms and went out of their way to make sure our stay was as comfortable, enjoyable and festive as possible. The decor in each of the gites is slightly...

We found Kergudon after looking for a gite for us and our two dogs that stood out. We booked the Priory after seeing the photos on Kergudon website and we weren't disappointed when after a drive from Calais (would highly recommend the shorter ferry crossing and will certainly take that option next time we stay or break the journey) were...

Kerguden is set in quiet countryside with everything you could wish for provided. We stayed in Hayloft, which was perfect for a couple and a small Westie! It was delightful with an extremely comfortable bed, high quality linen, well equipt kitchen and modern bathroom with great shower. All of the Gites have been restored to a very high standard (we...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Kergudon Gites et Chambres d'Hotes. In a place of peace and serenity, a presbytery was built in 1640 to provide accommodation for the clergy overseeing the construction of the church, and act as a rest stop for travellers and pilgrims. As the priest was allowed to keep doves, a privilege afforded only to the aristocracy and church, a dovecot was constructed in the south gable of the building which can be seen today. This has given it its name of Ker ('home' in the Breton language) and Gudon ('dove'). Over the next century stables and other buildings were constructed to support the occupants (the building we use as a gym being dated 1663) which have now been converted to provide self-catering holiday accommodation in this beautiful part of rural France. Situated in the natural park of Armorique in the departement of Finistere, as the name implies it feels like the end of the earth within the region of Brittany. Surrounded by forests and woodland walks Kergudon Gites & Chambres d'Hotes is within easy reach of lakes, coastline, beaches, villages and market towns which offer a wide range of activities for all our guests. We bought the property at the very end of 2014 and are continuing to develop the cottages and Chambres d'Hotes to provide luxurious holiday accommodation for present-day travellers wanting rest and relaxation in comfortable gites which offer modern conveniences, home comforts and practicalities of the 21st century while retaining their French charm. We have 4 separate gites, ranging from 1 bed (2 person) to 3 bed (6 person plus), which can be booked either individually or as a whole to accommodate larger groups or family for events and celebrations year round. Three of our gites are equipped to provide full self-catering accommodation while one, Stable, is best suited for Chambres d'Hotes / bed and breakfast - however, those staying in any of our gites, self-catering or not, can take advantage of our B&B menu! We believe our home offers huge attraction to anybody who wants to spend some time on holiday in this wonderful part of Brittany. Whether you are looking for a romantic break as a couple, luxurious affordable family holiday accommodation, space to bring the extended family for a celebration or event, a break in a charming and historic location with access to a wide variety of leisure activities, or somewhere for Chambres d'Hotes (Bed and Breakfast) accommodation while walking, cycling, driving or travelling, we have something to offer at our gites in Brittany. ... more   less
