This is a very nice little hotel with family atmosphere and comfortable rooms. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. There is free coffee and the in the “lounge-area” and good breakfast. Wii-fi on request (free). The hotel is situated not far away from the vineyards and surrounded by Champagne-houses. It’s absolutely worth a visit.

Our first but not our last visit to the hotel. We loved it. The hotel was quiet and had a comfortable feel about it. The staff was welcoming and offered good advice for visiting the local area. The other guests were considerate of each other which differs from my experience of large hotels and the room we requested was absolutely...

We just from Hotel Jeanson in Ay. It is lovely family owned hotel with helpful staff and chick breakfast. Owners have Goutorbe champagne house and also grow wines. Feeling of Champagne wine yards and cellars – additional value 

We stayed there at the end of July 2009 for extended weekend. We liked the atmosphere of the hotel; it is elegant and cosy at the same time. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel has also large carage i.e. you do not have to park in the street. The in-house pool area was small, but nice and...

We stayed here for two nights with our 9 month and 2.5 year old, in the family room at the back of the hotel. It was a beautiful room, two bedrooms, beautfully decorated with everything you needed. The toddler loved the pool and courtyard for running around. There is fresh coffee and tea available all day in the foyer. We...

This hotel opened only about five years ago in a fairly historic building in Ay, a small town in the champagne reagion near Epernay. We had a small, not very light room on the second floor - but it was the only one left so we took it. It was at least clean and well-appointed with an excellent bathroom. The...

We escaped the Best Western in Epernay and stayed here. It's hard to believe they're both 3 star hotels. The Best Western should be 2 stars and the Castel Jeanson, 4 stars. Wonderful service, beautifully appointed rooms, indoor parking -- we could not have been more pleased. It is a bit pricey, but we thought it was worth it. Don't...

We booked into this perfectly pleasant hotel in Ay after reading reviews on TA. Discussed booking the recommended local restaurant (Les Vieux Puits) with the helpful hotel staff on the phone who told us that there was no need to book. On checking in we were told that the restaurant was closed ('it always is on Wednesdays and Thursdays'). After...

If you would like to stay in a quiet village, this is the perfect spot. The town of Aÿ is just 5 minutes outside of the touristy town of Epernay and has narrow streets and little traffic. The Castel Jeanson is nestle at the top of the village with vineyards just behind it. The cheerful staff greeted us with extreme...
